    Fantastic review. We’ve got lots of steep hills in my neighborhood here in southeastern Pennsylvania, and your review put me over the top to order one. I was leaning towards the S1 for the greater range and suspension, but the comparison between the Hillclimber and the 500 watt scooter on the hill climb really slammed home the performance difference between the two. Thanks for this really well done review. Can’t wait to try it out in a few days when it gets delivered. 👍👍

    • @RIDEGLIDE
      @RIDEGLIDE  8 месяцев назад +1

      Really similar. Both easy to use and great waterproofing. Climber is better for acceleration, top speed and hills whereas the S1 has a larger deck and suspension 👍👍

    • @MisterGames
      @MisterGames 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@RIDEGLIDE I was able to test both on a hill similar to where I live. S1 made it but struggled. Climber did it at 24kph. Wow! So I now own a Climber :).... Also, i felt more stable on the Climber. Suspension isn't that big a deal for me. I'm not taking it off road and bumps were not that bad - i can live with that. Range is less obviously, but i liken it to a car with a 40 litre tank vs a 60 litre tank. They both chew juice just one needs filling more often but it still costs the same per litre.... For me the zero start was also a big item, something i don't think the S1 has. But the acceleration on the Climber is also a safer thing imo.... Where i live i have so far not even needed to take the Climber into Sport mode for my hills, nor can i use that speed legally in the public space. So 25kkph is fine for me for most things... Only put 30 clicks on it so far. 20 of those in a single round trip and no complaints. My only gripe is Eco needs to be 12kph not 6. Else i am very pleased with it..... I have 33% battery left and calculate a real world range of a tad over 40km in my area. I am six two and 85kg for those who wonder about such things.

    what its reliability looks like
    and how did you unlock the top speed (of 38 kph)? through the official app, or external apps? or did it come unlocked? (from what i have read it may come unlocked in the US), but in europe it should be locked and i have not found clear info on the unlocking and how it may affect the warranty

    Annoying we don’t have legislation yet for scooters as you almost don’t want to bother buying anything over 500 watt. Government needs to at least allow 1000 watts nominal which means this and the Apollo city pro etc are ok and we can have dual 500 watts. I think in motion should have improved the s1 personally with proper indicator functions and perhaps offer a single and dual motor version. Great to see manufacturers starting to improve ip rating though and realizing most ppl don’t live in places that are dry all year round! Good in depth review as always guys 👍🏻

      It might not be the scooter for the adrenaline junkies out there but it’s great for nipping around, climbing hills and fits a leaner budget 😃👍

      You can get a lot of scooters on Ali baba but not this model. You will need to go to inmotion and speak to them. They have invested a lot of money in simple, low maintenance, water resistance micro mobility so are a good company to talk to if you need some help deciding 👍

      For the super powerful scooters we run proper speed tests but these are nippy urban models, designed for freedom and fun, come down any time to try one out 🙌

      I don't consider 38kmh slow at all. The communal scooters here in Australia max out at either 23 or 25kmh.

      Probably the segway for comfort with the suspension but the Climber for speed!
