I've got the Solar P1 3.0 (1200Wx2, 52V) on the way, specifically for its hill climbing ability. This video helped me decide that dual motors is a must have for a 260lb guy who rides in a hilly area.
Thanks for watching and the feedback, glad you enjoyed. Haven't got a G booster here but would imagine, like you say that it would fit just below the Dualtrons and big Apollos 😀👍
It doesn't look much of a hill, but I think on camera hills don't look as bad This hill is very steep but doesn't look as sleep on camera ruclips.net/video/dg4UMq80T00/видео.html
Amazing the Etwow got up the hill be it only just but shame Apollo city single motor didn’t. I think the Etwow is so light u don’t have as much of its own weight added to the riders for it to move and the solid tyres as long as you avoid bumps mean less rolling resistance. This really needs a view from the uk transport secretary as this shows exactly the limitations of single motor and 500 watt limit for heavy riders and people in hilly areas. Uk needs to be allowing 1000 watt at least as an overall nominal rating in my view. Great video though guys!
Thanks so much for watching and the feedback! Totally agree about the motor power, rediculius for hills if you arnt under 60kg. We actually put a 72kg rider on the city 2022 single motor and it made it up the hill so not too bad 😅👍
@@RIDEGLIDE I wonder if the g2 would even make it up your hill. I’ve encountered really steep hills already that it could not climb, but it is rare & short really steep peaks.
Thank you for posting this informative video. Since making the decision to purchase an escooter, my biggest concerns are hill climbing and range. I live in The Algarve region of Portugal on top of a very steep hill and have been debating between the Apollo City Pro and the more expensive Apollo Phantom V3. After watching this video, there's no question which I need to buy.
I need a scooter that will take me up a steep hill that is about a mile long. It's my work commute. What would people recommend? I want something nice but can only afford cheap
Such a tough one. Most single motors in the lower power range are front motor driven. Our personal preference is rear as sometimes the front hits bumps and can lose a bit of traction but is really minor! Other than that, there isn't a huge difference in performance 👍
28ah are great but with the 1000w motors, they are not as fast as the Max and they don’t have the same range. That being said, they are still a really high quality, high performance scooter and lovely to ride plus the range is still massive 😀👍
It’s great for general riding and really comfortable but unfortunately meets it’s match on steeper hills if you are on the heavier side 😬😀Also, it fits in with a lot of European road law and potentially the UK when the law is changed.

Thanks for watching and glad you found it useful!! Generally when the battery gets below around 50% you will start to see some performance changes but it is different for each model. New subscriber in the US, and I'm considering either a Yume or Kaabo, however, maybe, I should widen my options. I'm big. 6'7" 235, but older and won't do anything stupid. I want it for mild to moderate trail riding. So far I'm considering Kaabo WW 2, Yume m10, and Yume Y11. Please.....any feedback will be appreciated.
Thanks for watching and subscribing! You are a big guy so you are looking at the right kind of scooters. I know they are pricey but have you checked out the Nami scooters? They are really high quality and are amazing for larger riders!! 👍😃
dont pay for the name but the specs
@@RIDEGLIDE
Thanks! Will do.
@@smoxesss
So you like the Yume possibility?
@@biggregg5 i have been loooking at that as well but like the the FLJ more jas more power
Throw a GT2 into the mix .
We have since tried it and its just behund the Thunder 2 👍👍
Suprised nami beat thunder. Thunder has 10080W peak power compare to namis 8400
I guess we should not watch for specs , only results of tests like this for speed, range, acceleration...
Nami power distribution is so efficient and the torque is insane 😅😅👍👍
Nami it is 😊
🤣🤣 Great choice!!
@@RIDEGLIDE I bought it from u guys I have done 127 miles already 😆
@@shaun5761 Nice 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
@@RIDEGLIDE Thanks 🙏
i cant find out the power restrictions for scooters in california so it must be illegal ive never seen anyone riding a scooter around here
judt get one stop obeying them dammmmmmm European creatures
@@jamescashmore1452 i am a european creature its not them i need to disobey its everyone else
I HAVE THE P1+ i would get easy 30mph on that hill i paid 900.00 pounds for it i own 2 of them ?? not fully watched video as of yet am half way tru , and can say i have a powerful scooters but they need upgrading need more power
Watch til the end 😊😊
👍👍👍🤘 Отличный тест. Спасибо.
No problem and glad you enjoyed it!! 🙌🙌
Avfucking steep? These are everywhere in Czech Republic... That is why i need check tests like this. Most people test it on flat.
Thanks for watching, glad we could help!!
@@RIDEGLIDE You should try add some weights with some scooters. People have some heavier bags, like with groceries. Or even test max weight, to test durability of a frame.
Would you recommend some scooter with 30-40km reach and 90-100kgs? I am mostly concerned about battery life and climbing power.
@@foreignfat6009 wish we had the time to test everything but unfortunately we don't i'm afraid. For recommending scooter its really important to know your budget as this can make a big difference on the scooter you pick?
🔥🔥🔥
😊😊😊
I didn’t know it was possible to mess up your lungs thru over exertion. Yikes can you tell us what happened so we can avoid? Glad you are okay! 👌
inmotion climber should have been on the list.....
It arrived the day after we filmed 😪😂
Should of done double tap on the thunder 2 😂
Where's the kaabo at maaaan
All gone 😢
Apollo were absolute disgrace! They ask so much for their scooters while their motors dont have real peak power, just some 200 extra W, when usually other have 2x more or even on some accoasions 3x time just to be able start quickly or overcome some hills
The City wasn't great on the hill but their other models performed really well 👍👍
@@RIDEGLIDE True, but expected to do better for that price range, considering Victor is cheaper
@@felixmdx We hear you. Its designed as a high end, low power (road legal) model though and it fits pretty well into that bracket 😀
should've sent a Solar FF 2.0 up the hill it wouldve got sub 15 seconds easy with its 72 volt and 2x 2500W motors
Wish we had one to try 😀
Problem with scooter that go fast .. too expensive might as well buy a small motor cycle
Death Wish😮😅
🤣🤣🤣 it is scary
thunder 2 don't care about hills
Eats them up 🙌
@@RIDEGLIDE it winds up just as fast on hills as flat
funny
Thanks for watching 😀👍
just wait till you get dual motor that 20mph will feel like nothing , i started with a reid E scooter only 15mph and onlyb 15 miles ranges , then i got a iscooter i9 , then i managed too get a iscooter ix5 , then i was a able too get a envirorides p1+ . 45mph , 2400w , peak power 3600w , 18ah 52v, i paid 900.00 pounds with 2 years warranty had i about 2 years now love it , but just bought a kugoo g booster for 800,00 pounds 23ah 48v new version brand new 1 year warranty , now thinking of a 60v 38ah E scooetr for 1350.00 pounds
my scooter 2400w peak power 3600w i knew what too buy paid 900.00 pounds 2 years warranty paid 900.00 pounds hill climb 45*
the Apollo was shocking but seeing it selling at 1500 is joke i just got a bigger scooter fails like the Apollo cost me 1000 got my money back
Its not the best hill climber but a really quality "road legal" style of scooter. Indicators, app functionality, self healing tyres, front and rear suspension etc and it looks great 👍
my scooter as fast as the vsett 10+ and i paid 900.00 wow am really shocked , i really am a good buyer of scooter but is still want that damm vsett , dammmmmmmmmm i only have a 1000.00 but have to do up my home and buy clothes and food :/
It’s a seriously nice scooter 😃😃
@@RIDEGLIDE i know i really know man ????
got me thinking now ........................
