I travelled across the pond from NJ to see their last two shows...I STILL can't get enough of their synergy, lyrics, energy & showmanship....there are countless songs that have made me laugh & cry to in my life...I am one of the fortunate many that REALLY appreciate their gift....Jersey Mike
I saw the Band for the first time a few weeks before they opened at Donnington in 1991 (I think). I won the "Symphony" Album and 2 Free tickets to thier Gig and have been hooked ever since! This is what Rock is about! Good Lyrics, Good Guitars and having Fun! Looking forward to seeing the boys again at Rock of Ages in July! Good luck for then and the Future!
Saw these in Sheffield supporting Bon Jovi along with Van Halen and Ugly Kid Joe. Best band of the whole afternoon. Been a massive fan ever since. Just brilliant
I only discovered this band recently and they've jumped up into my fave band list .So many well written songs, well written, good melodies, well played...Still doing credit to their back catalogue....
I'm not normally the kind of person who takes heed of lyrics, but I really like these ones. I love how if you read the lyrics on a sheet of paper you'd think it was a saft ballad, but the actual song's a full-on rock song.
Brilliand performe as always.I remember about more than 20 years ago when i put them on cd and sing with danny. They play real music straight from the heart ! I dissapointed that never got the fame that they deserve yea it was the spise girls era!
I saw thunder opening for Extreme in 93 and I was shocked for time. I followed them from then, seeing always incredible shows in Barcelona, specially their last one in Robert Johnson´s Tombstone tour. It was amazing. After the show I found them drinking beer and I can assure they (and support band called Glyder) are nice guys. Now I have tickets for Wolverhampton X-Mas show in december. travel? Money? Doesn´t matter..........
I saw them at Liverpool Royal Court on 3rd December 1999, on their "farewell" tour - I hope the 2009 'farewell' tour proves to be just as final as the 1999 one!
such a travesty these weren't massive. so good in the studio AND live. Fkn AWESOME!!! Was this footage off a dvd? if so which one? thanks for uploading
@mikesterc Hey, think you might have been the guy my mate Gavin was chatting to at the Wolverhampton gig. We were towards the back on the left had side. Great devotion to a great band! Nice one!
@mikesterc - Hi Mike, shame they never made it in the States / N America. They were better than most US and European bands that made it big IMO. Impressed that you took the time to support the good old Thunder. In a similar way I made it over the pond to see Rush at Denver 'Red Rocks Amp' last year - What a venue!! Lee UK
This is a fking great song, and i've been enjoying it for years and years... But what the hell dude..."not even fit to shine your shoes"???? Wtf??Who even thinks of a lyric like that? Its obvious they were hunting for a rhyme with "born to lose" and "loser with the blues"...But really, wtf??? there are a ton of pesimistic-loserish things to rhyme with that.Booze,choose,use...Jeez :P
Great song, but honestly, who the hell dances on stage like that. I did the exact same thing in 8th grade during a performance we did of "Burning down the house" from the Talking Heads.....funny as hell!

Webgkil Not being fit to shine someone’s shoes used to be a common expression in London :)
Great song, but honestly, who the hell dances on stage like that. I did the exact same thing in 8th grade during a performance we did of "Burning down the house" from the Talking Heads.....funny as hell!
