These guys are great ❤ not sure why they never got air play here in the States because if they did I would have been a fan a long time ago. Just discovered them a little over 3 months ago on my SX radio station and right away checked out their music and naturally bought a triple CD by them and that's all she wrote.
Didnt think anyone could top Rod Stewart singing ths song but damn, Thunder have made it just as good, cant beat Rods gravelly vocals tho, well done Bonston
As far as i'm aware Rod Stewarts vocal on 'in a broken dream' was just a guide vocal (Classic Rock magazine) as they didnt have a singer in mind when it was being recorded...so they asked Mr Stewart (who was in the next studio) to lay the vocal down..but liked it so much it was kept in! his fee? a set of car seat covers! true story...
I am tempted to click the dislike button, they left all the good stuff from the original song out, and didnt add anything, like truly nothing that elevate the song
There's not many cover versions i would say are as good as the original. But this is certainly one of them. My long time girlfriend from back in the day loved Thunder. Sadly she has passed on now. So to hear this once again has reminded me of the good times we had. Thank you.
Danny is the most underated, and one of the best rock vocalist this country has ever produced, along side Steve Marriot, Robert Plant, Ian Gillan and David Coverdale. Thunder didn't reach the heights of lesser talented bands because they were deemed unfashionable, and didn't release singles.
Every day i spend my time, drinking wine, Feeling fine Waiting here to find a sign, that I can understand Yes I am In the days between the hours, Ivory towers, Bloody flowers Push their heads into the air I don't care if I ever know, there I go Don't push your love too far your wounds won't leave a scar Right now is where you are, in a broken dream On the pad before my eyes, paper cries, telling lies The promises you gave, from the grave of a broken heart In the days between the hours, Ivory towers, Bloody flowers Push their heads into the air I don't care if I ever know, there I go Don't push your love too far your wounds won't leave a scar Right now is where you are, in a broken dream Did someone bow their head? Did someone break the bread? Good people are in bed, before nine o' clock Every day i spend my time, drinking wine, Feeling fine Waiting here to find a sign, that I can understand Yes I am Oh, don't push your love too far though your wounds won't leave a scar Right now is where you are, in a broken dream Here what I say, okay! I sit here in my lonely room Ivory towers, bloody flowers I sit here in my lonely room Right here in my lonely room Uh, that's where you are Yeah
Brilliant band, always have been. Seen them on numerous occasions, once at Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield with friends. First band on was Terrorvision, their first big gig, then Ugly Kid Joe, their only Uk date that year. They were followed by Thunder, awsome. Headlining was Def Leopard, we went home then. I agree with the others, vastly under rated.
Normally I don't care for cover versions of iconic songs but have to admit Thunder have made a pretty good fist of it. In fact I prefer this to the original.
I had never heard of them and was skeptical about a cover of the Rod Stewart/Python Lee Jackson version which I consider a classic. But hey, this might just be even better!
danny is so smooth with his vocals so much control and conviction and rest of the band with the instrumental is just fabulous so much better then the org
To think I found this while searching for the version done by some other artist, on an Emily Carey TikTok. Who is that singer? The intersection of a young Ronnie James Dio and a young Paul Rodgers. Outstanding performance. Thanks for posting.
This song has everything, hit song. Killer vocals, lyrics, guitar, drums everything is superb. Anyone know what guitar effects he's using during the lead? Sounds like a multi effect, not sure. Love it.
It's the Leslie Speaker effect from a Hammond Organ, literally two spinning horns above the speaker. It's in Badge by Cream amongst many. I know your question is a year old but no one answered.
Probably the most underrated band of the 80s and 90s , absolutely superb 😊
I LOVED Thunder! The single most underrated British rock band of all time!!!!!
Danny Bowes is amazing!
Love this version.
Cheers for the posting!
Most underrated band of all time. What crew!
Liam Kelly going to see them in March...can't wait!
if it was the manchester gig i was totally there too :)
I hope i see them in Berlin in marts 😎😎
Also like his previous band Terraplane!
where you been?
Why am I just NOW hearing this voice?! This bluesy rock is amazing!!
One of the best bands by a mile and so underrated!
I was 20 in 1985. Never heard of them.... Crazy. They're so much more than a hair band. This singer is amazing.
Wonderfull song, I just love this vocal! It is so strange how certain bands are remarkably talented and yet, awfully underestimated...
did you know it is a Rod Steward song? i just found out myself.
What a voice! I can feel the emotion

Such a great and hugely underrated band, I tell people Thunder are one of my fave bands and generally get blank looks!¬!!
Rod liked it. A winner, vocalist is outstanding.
Seen them a few times was always a good show, never let you down
Always get a Stunning live performance from thunder. Seen them 4 times now. Every show is different but has a warm familiarity too it.
The most underrated hm band of all time. and still going.. ...
Got talking to Danny at their Cardiff gig 10 or so years ago. Throughly nice guy, and a very under rated band - he has an amazing voice
My favourite thunder song, it helped me a lot growing up.
Didnt think anyone could top Rod Stewart singing ths song but damn, Thunder have made it just as good, cant beat Rods gravelly vocals tho, well done Bonston
Brave man, nailed it.
Rod would be proud
Seen many bands live, Thunder are the best

They asked him to sing the track to bump them up the ratings which it did.
Can't be Roderick's rendition
I accept all versions but my favorite is Rod Stewart with David Gilmore and John Paul Jones 🤘
Can't beat Danny's vocals
A set of covers and immortality in the music world. Can't be topped
This is my favorite version of this song......incredible cover!!
I completely agree with you. Fantastic cover and such an amazing group.
Its the best cover I've heard so far , but still isn't Rod Stewart and python lee
@@crisdeitz2144 rod stewart sucks
saw them on monday , with whitesnake and journey , they put them both to shame , danny still has a great voice , outstanding
Holy shit ..one of my favorite songs ever. Remade...good one!!
2021 and Thunder still Rocking.
man.... why dont we live in 90s .. i miss old days...
what a brilliant version of this beautifully sad song
I pitty the fool who pressed the dislike button... they wouldnt know good music if it came and slapped em round the chops
I am tempted to click the dislike button, they left all the good stuff from the original song out, and didnt add anything, like truly nothing that elevate the song
I like this cover very much and Thunder is a great band🤘😎🤘🇮🇹
We dont see dislikes anymore.
Well it's bland and bombastic compared to Python Lee Jackson's version. Where's the guitar solo that holds the song together?
Saw their recent Christmas Concert - great fun!
Great cover great band⚡️⚡️⚡️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I was lucky to see these guys in Glasgow years ago a brilliant night

They released loads of singles. I have many of them.
One of my favourite songs - didn't know Thunder had covered it.
This guy is a good singer, very good. Band is good too. Thanks for this post - it gets 5 stars for sure.
My favourite version, but I've heard it covered by so many and they ALL do a cracking job. Well done Dave Bentley. Thanks for the music
great great great song....great great great band (Y)
Heard the tiniest bit of this song in a restaurant in Chippewa Falls. Posting this here so I'll always remember. ❤
Underrated, best band since ‘FREE’.....
Every day i spend my time, drinking wine,
Feeling fine

Don't push your love too far

Oh, don't push your love too far

Kathryn williams versiyonu da eksende çok çalardı
Thank you for posting the lyrics, thumbs up ;-j
Thank you
Thunder always impresses me with the gift to astonish.
Brilliant song thanks to a friend sharing it with me.
GREAT BAND, great voice, great guitar.
Thanks!!
That Danny Bowes vocal here just slays me. He killed nearly every Thunder vocal he did.
Simply amazing song and performance ! Really no matters if you are 50 or 40 or 30 or 20 s years young at heart !!
Their music is so fine!!!!!!liked The lyrics are great too!
Во голосище у Дэна !!!
where did all this rock go !
shit pop music very few good bands now
.. to a very deep mine called youtube
It still exists, you're just not going to find it in the top 40
@@markorollo. damn I wrote this comment 4 years ago. Lol hasn't my taste in music changed!
Best version ever, sorry Rod Stewart and Python Lee Jackson
Absolutely love this❤️
So love Danny's vocals on this
ok this group i have only found not long ago but... have found they are so under rated they are just simply outstanding
This was one of my fave Thunder songs. a truly great cover !
I have never heard this version of this song, but it was in my feed this morning for some reason. They're very good! Early 90's?
Mid 90s
Jason , I must protest, this is the finest tune ever performed by thunder even though they did not write it the interpretation is immense!!
Underrated & overshadowed. 🤘👍
I absolutely love this band and this song!
killing it great vocals...from las vegas..
Great band!
just the best version, and garys drums sound f###ing hot, love it
ああああ!!この曲観られるって知らなかった。感動です。ありがとう。Thanks!!

I love this song soo good. Thank you Thunder.
Perfect vocal, perfect rock!!!
Have you listened to the early 70s version from Python Lee Jackson.....?
@@ianreed1528 Thanks for suggesting. Very good!

Tres belle musique 1980 javais 18 ans😅😅😅😅
New York City loves Thunder!!!!
What a fantastic voice Danny....
This song means so much for me But hard to find on a album
Great singing and song! ;)
This is by far the best version.
No one will ever be as good as the original singer of this song ! Rod Stewart
great band seen live when pregnant then when my wee man was born round about 97 at the barrowlands.
Thunder is a hidden gem, and i'm lucky to know them since1996.
unique song!
its too bad the rock is slowly dying...
i wish there were more great rock bands nowdays
Megadriver ever heard of planet rock ... dying lol
Wow,it's a good song .I liké so much,thanks a lot
Amazing song
I love this version!!!
this is a great song and was just fantastic
woooooooooow, awesome!!
Thunder are the best!!!
saw them tuesady 28-05-2013 amazing
Let's start a thunder recival
Best version of this song...by a MILE...
This is the best cover of this song I've heard. Am I alone in thinking Chris Cornell would absolutely own this song?? I'd love to hear him cover it.
These dudes are severely missed. Won't be the same without a thunder tour to look forward to and dannys dad dancing.
Since I've known this song i can't stop listening to it
I had never heard of them and was skeptical about a cover of the Rod Stewart/Python Lee Jackson version which I consider a classic. But hey, this might just be even better!
fantastic cover danny has great voice
another great cover version gary is stereophonics handbags and glad rags ....awesome
i love this song i havent heard it in ages

Who is that singer? The intersection of a young Ronnie James Dio and a young Paul Rodgers.
Outstanding performance. Thanks for posting.
When this came on I thought it was Chris Cornell...he has a Dad..or Grandpa..love it..!!

It's the Leslie Speaker effect from a Hammond Organ, literally two spinning horns above the speaker. It's in Badge by Cream amongst many. I know your question is a year old but no one answered.
You can get this "Rotary" effect on a number of FX pedals. I have a EHX Mod 11 that includes this.
great version of a great tune, but rod's vocal on this is perhaps his greatest ever, and is nigh on untouchable
Great version
Outstanding. ❤️❤️
Good Version, vocals remind me of Glen Hughes, Rod Stewart's vocal on the original is still one of his best.
I believe that this is a cover version of a Rod Stewart song. I love both versions
Rod Stewart's was a cover as well
