you know we really need to get back into spending time and making fun props like this like in the old days before the big facade stuff. really cool Jasper really love it. thanks for sharing.
You know, I've found I need to do these loose, quick projects every so often to keep from getting bogged down by the big complex ones.
I've given away most of my Halloween props and have just thrown up a small graveyard these past few years, but dammit, this tutorial is dragging me back into prop making. Have always loved your stuff!
Thanks! Glad to hear it! I remember being a fan of your haunt, too
That looks incredible! Thanks for making a video of it!
I bought a dozen beauty mannequin heads on craigslist for a very cheap and wasn’t sure what to do with them. I think I’m going to be using the model magic to enhance some features. Thank you so much for your videos. Getting so many great ideas
You are awesome. Love your projects!
Wow that's great! You make that look real easy. Great looking results!
WOW. I am so inspired by you. Loving it!!
Fantastic, thanks for sharing. Can't wait to have a go.
Awesome Tutorial! Thanks so much for posting!!!
Great job.. I'm have to try this out.
Wow! That looks awesome! Thanks for sharing. :)
Nice work!
Thank you!
This is the closest we'll get to the long lost "Bug Eyes" head, very well done!
I would've added less wrinkles on the neck in my personal opinion though
I meant it as more of a loose inspiration, but glad you like it!
Amazing
very good
Great work. Is the paint just house emulsion paint or is it a latex paint? Or house paint mixed with latex?
This is Awesome! Im a mask maker and this was just really cool to see...Great work!
If that's your real name...its mine too! Never met a Jasper before in my 40 years lol
Thomas Taylor Haha, you're number 3 for me! Glad you enjoyed the video!
jasperjanderson lol...nice! Again, great work!
What paint and technique might you suggest for placing zombie heads under black lights?
I'd probably do the same thing, then do a drybrush and detail pass of Wildfire invisible UV paint, if you want it to hold up in normal light, too.
What did you do for the inside of the mouth? Did you just lay the paper towels inside?
Yep, that works great! I think on this one I just painted it, though.
Having one problem. I’m using the clay from Model Magic from Michaels and when it dries, it cracks and falls off the skull in large chunks before I. can get the skin on. Any suggestions?
You can either hot glue the dried pieces or get the skin on before it dries that much.
@@jasperjanderson Thanks!!!
Do you build your own ground breakers
Bob Carroll Sure do! I've made several for other haunters, too.
I feel daft. At what point did you use latex
I don’t use latex, but the house paint supposedly has some latex in it.
What color is that paint and is it thinned?
+ray sylvester The base color was sort of a dark blue. I don't thin it, because I want the full strength of the paint when it dries.
