I have 2 D12s's and will never look back. This is the 1st time I have never had buyers remorse. Pair very well with Magnepan 3.7'i. Have them connected to two different systems, 2 channel and HT, and integration with each was a snap. App allows complete customization from you favorite listening chair; no more get up and fiddle with knobs. My only concern is what happens if it's bluetooth goes out. Absolutely recommended. IMHO....
The thing weighs more than a Honda Civic lol it was hard to move around, however in retrospect I do wish I had done a few pans. Something that is definitely changing for future videos
Great review and channel. Wondering how you'd compare this to the svs sb-4000 you reviewed. Love to hear thoughts. Seems like the freq response was comparable.
Hi Mike, quick question. Sadly there is only one review for the d12s. I have an e112 by jl audio. Don’t know if you are familiar with the sound. But i wonder how these compare to ported svs subs or the 4000. Because you said that you would compare them. But you didn’t in you svs sb4000 video. Hope you can give me some insight. Because i am contemplating either the d12s or maybe the d15s. But don’t know if the difference is as much as the pricing. If it would be worth it. Hope I can hear from you. How was the infrasonics regarding the d12s. Was that impressive as well? And how is the slam compared to the svs?
This is a tough one. Sonically they were very similar, however pricewise and aesthetically they are very different. The D12s was nicer looking but for the price difference, the SB-4000 would give it a run for the money. They both offer intuitive apps. I don't know what your budget is like but I would think you'd be more than happy with two SB-4000 subs and still probably be under the mark that the D12s goes for. The D12s has a bit more SPL in my opinion but like I said for the price difference and performance and value for the dollar, the SB-4000 would be the route I choose.
Greetings, Great review! I have a question: I currently have a D15s in the back of my HT system. I have enough space in the front for two D12s. Do you think I can combine my D15s with two D12s? Thank you
That’s a great idea. I always like having a bigger sub behind me in a home theater it provides a fun feeling during the low end scenes, and having the two 12s in the front will give you the impact for action scenes. I would do it.
What mini dsp did you use on your diy build? I’m about to setup 2 “ peerless by tymphany 350f “ subs. I planned on just using my studiolive series iii dsp but a outbound option will add more control for linear phase accurate adjustments.
I used the minidsp 2x4 it worked well for me with the SI HST-15. Takes a bit to get the hang of it but I filmed a video on how I did it. It's like half way through my catalog of videos.
Well aside from being $2,500 more and three inches smaller, the Perlisten has tech integrated in its system that far exceeds a subwoofer like the Deep Blue series. They are too different to give a good comparison. That's why I did compare it to the DD12+ and now I will be reviewing the SVS SB-4000 which will also be compared to the Perlisten.
@@audioarkitekts did you compare to the SVS SB-4000? did you compare to any Rhythmik? i have size limitations of my cabinet and this sub is one of the only ones that would fit it's only 17.7" deep!
@@audioarkitekts Sure, have you ever seen videos made by Darko Audio? I love how he always shows off products then has discussions etc. I think this would take your videos to next level.
@@SLMK-rk7ht I knew you were going to reference Darko lol. He has a video guy that comes in and does all his footage and then he has an editor for post. Lucky guy. I'm a one man show lol. I'll try it out for the next review though, I'm sure I can come up with something good 👍😊
My D12 came 2 weeks ago and my 2.1 system just got magical, what a sub

Good stuff
i JUST BOUGHT 4 d212'S. i WILL NEVER LOOK BACK EITHER. They are fantastic.
What a great review of an amazing Sub from a new company that has made it's mark. Thanks Mike!
Thanks A A! 😊
I really think that Perlisten is the new king 😎 Best of the best
Thank you for this review.. I'm currently unboxing 2 of these to install today!
Nice choice!
I have 2 D12s's myself in white. Crazy nice. Finally found my sub endgame.
Listen to the this weekend at a HIFI showdown in Norway. OMFG.. Must be the most brutael and presise 12" sub I have ever heard... insane...
Jl gotham or perlisten d215s ? Any suggestions please 🙏🏼
D215s 👍🏼
Great review - thanks!
Why no B roll of the sub? The couple quick shots of the sub that you do have seem to be pulled from Perlisten's website.

I felt the Perlisten got a bit louder. The gain on the SB-4000 only goes so high before they throttle it. You can get more gain from the Perlisten.
I have the Perlisten D215S and am looking at the D15S or D12S as nearfield. Nice review and i agree.
Fantastic video and great review
Glad you enjoyed it!

Have you heard of any JTR or PSA subwoofers in person? Was wondering how these subs compared to JTR/PSA's top tier woofers
I've never heard either one so unfortunately I can't comment

How was it compared to The velodyne deep blue 15 sub then?.

Just a suggestion, for future videos, can we have more b roll for products? I love your channel but also love seeing stuff =)
Would you suggest a small segment of like a cinematic b roll of the product?

He's reviewing his face rather than a product because he barely shows the product
Thank you 🙏
You're welcome 😊
What db level would you recommend for subwoofer’s?
that is top class subwoofer, and fun to have in house i bet :)
It's amazing. So much clarity it was an incredible experience.
How do they comparare to the JL audio Fathom 112 v2
Same question.
Oh "shake you walls" you said? I misheard something else 🥴.
Subbed!!!
Thank you!!! 😉
Cool shirt.
Thanks! I sell them on my online shop! bit.ly/3nRmuES
Not one single image of the sub in your setup!
