I purchased two Perlisten D215s subs based on Theo's review here, Shane Lee's review, and YouthMan's review. If anything, all of them undersold how incredible this sub is. It's an endgame sub, hands down. Words fail me when describing how incredibly deep, resonant, and articulate this bass is. I am a Perlisten fan for life. Nothing else even comes close.

One of the clear points of this particular configuration was to showcase that the Perlisten flagship line is capable of playing and being paired with some of the best lauded speakers on the market (like the Salon2). Subwoofers that exhibit high group delay don’t mate well with high performance speakers. I found the Perlistens to be a stellar match and would have no reservations recommending someone with an MBL or Focal Utopia, for example, to mate them with a Perlisten sub.

I’ve ordered a single Perlisten D215S that i’ll be putting in a 1500 cu ft dedicated Theater Room paired with M&K S150’s. There’s only 3 seats in my Movie Room and mine is the only one that matters. My Family just thinks everything sounds good ie they are not critical listeners like me. That’s why I got the biggest cleanest Sub I could afford. @Audioholics good work. There is an audience for all levels of products. I can’t afford these, but I can certainly appreciate what they have to offer. @@Audioholics nice! My journey has recently taken me back to the dark side. In my pursuit for extreme infrasonic output, I had to turn to JTR ported (10hz port tune) to get me the level of output that I want. Sadly, I don’t have the space, or money, for a huge wall of sealed subs.😬

@@brucecarter6205one doesn't need a Ferarri to drive to a grocery store that a Camry could do perfectly. But some people don't mind paying a premium for performance and luxury.
1 sub will get you even bass in a very narrow listening area only.
I am torn between these and the JTR 4000 ULF... my goal is Clean bass and hitting the infrasonics.... but that's just a wishlist kind of thing....aaaaargh
The bass doesn't get cleaner than Perlisten IMO. JTR sealed RS1s are also fantastic and more manageable sized form factor.
It’s funny how the high end gear always brings out angry critics
I can’t afford this, which means it totally sucks.
Take me seriously
Sad truth.
Yeah I don't get this, I lust over high end car reviews I could never afford, but I don't hate over this fact?
These are expensive. I can't afford them. But who cares? They're awesome. No sense in complaining because you can't afford. If that upsets you there are other reviews of inexpensive products. I am happy to dream.
Why don't bass guitarists choose subwoofers? Shouldn't manufacturers like SVS & Perlisten be killing it in the bass guitarist equipment category? And why do none of them use bass correction software like DIRAC?

Lol for these prices i would definitely get subs From PSA & JTR.
The same PSA that Shane Lee bottomed out during normal listening tests?
@@AudioholicsLOL @ Shane. I don't take his reviews serious. I would rather see Erin's audio corner, James Larson & Amir at ASR. Unlike Shane, those guys know what they're doing. Gene, you should know, you can make any ported subwoofer chuff. If you base your buying decision on the Intro of EOT then you're doing it wrong and you should be ashamed of yourself. You of all people should know that Gene.
***Edit that S2112 is sealed, Shane also asked Tom V for a discount and he said no, so Shane didn't like thag answer and he did his bull crap review on purpose. You can make any sub sound like crap if you want it. SVS and other companies put fool proof limiters in their subs at the expense of SPL & ULF. People who buy these subs know what there are doing and use MiniDSP-HD if they want.
@@lackdats2323why do all you PSA/ budget fanboys get so pissy an ID subwoofer sounded like trash. You get what you pay for and that's what I got. You all keep harping on this discount theory too. Let me guess the PSA owner made up some lies about that as some excuse for his poorly designed sub. And it makes total sense I spent over $2k just to make a video to trash a product all because I couldn't save a couple hundred bucks? This makes sense to you? 😂 What a joke. Keep on typing nonsense.
@lackdats2323 there's only so much low end bass you can get with an accordion suspension. Those type of drivers aren't well suited for high output high excursions as Shane found out in his review. Above 25hz, I'm sure that sub rips tho.
Yusu how is your anthem going
The AVM 90 is the real deal. 😁Stay tuned for that review
2 D215s vs 4 D12s both roughly $20K
2x D212S or 2x D15s?
D215s is enormous. If you don't have the space for it, definitely go with D212s.
Thank you. So don't get the D15s? Would 3x D212S or 4x D212S bridge the gap with D215s? @@Audioholics
@@aaronaaron1611talk to your Perlisten dealer to get the right model and number of Perlistens sized to your room. My room is very large and really required the D215. However as Gene said they were too large and sized to the D212s.
No the video is not playing at 0.75x speed. It's just another TN review.
Nice commercial.
Sorry you can't afford the sub but if you don't like the review, go somewhere else to complain.
@Audioholics You have no idea what I can or can not afford. My comment was complimentary and not laced with barely suppressed aggression, unlike your comment 🙄
@@paulupton5557 calling a review my independent reviewer worked hard on a "commercial " is not complimentary. You're gaslighting and it's pretty low brow. You definitely can't afford these subs.
@Audioholics Nevertheless, you have no idea what I can or can not afford. When all is said and done, they are subwoofers. That is all they are . Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
is there a real review available with measurements??!?!?!?
This was a real review. It measures similarly to the D215s but a 4-6db less output.
See: www.audioholics.com/subwoofer-reviews/perlisten-d215s
isn't 6db a lot less output meaning it has no output at 10hz? @@Audioholics
@@aaronaaron1611 it means the D215s can play about twice as loud as the D212s which is still extremely good.
Is there a subwoofer that doesn't annoy the neighbours?
Headphones
@@Audioholics yeah I've got some headphones.
4 subs thats daydreaming for my union Joe bankroll.
Laughable fanboy "review."
and shameful?
In other words, out of your price range so you have to bash due to jealousy.
What makes it laughable? I would expect no less than a gushing review given the cost of these things.
Are Audioholics or Gene dealer reps for Perlisten? Would like to know as it seems that Perlisten seems to get quite alot of coverage in your videos.
@@LeeLee-fi7mx@Dreamedia is a channel partner we have affiliate links with that sells Perlisten. This is pretty standard among ALL successful RUclips channels. We pretty much monetize all of our content equally. Get over it.
Yaaaaa, we don't have $32,000 for 4 of their subs. How about something more reasonable.
Watch our other subwoofer videos. We have dozens of $500 subwoofer videos.
Several grand ok, 32k out of reach for 99% of population.
@@lights80088 Perlisten makes several subwoofer models at lesser price points-including dual and single driver designs. All sub models have similar performance yet are sized accordingly for different rooms. The D212s was sized to the room volume.
Some of us do have it. We also used to be in a place where we didn’t have that kind of $$ for subs. There is enough content out there for all price ranges.
SVS who?
Quality cost money; deal with it.
