Gorgeous is a good word to describe that for sure. Like the green eyes of a beautiful Irish girl or just the sound of her voice. Its a very beautiful tune and well played because not everyone can convey that beauty they way you did.
Nice job, well done! Sounds so very Celtic. Thanks very much for recording your hand movements at the distance you chose. It enabled me to tune to DADGAD, capo at the fourth fret and learn the entire song. Well executed pull-offs/hammer-ons! Wonderful piece of music with subtle variations played by an inspired musician. Keep up the excellent work.
man, im new to this kind of music, im of scottrish decent and recently getting into it, where can i find (to purchase) albums with this kind of music, i really like the slower stuff, i believe called "slow airs", any recommendations?
@kidzsanlorenzo you need to look up Davey Graham, he invented DADGAD for this tune in the late 50's and early 60's and he inspired Bert Jansch and John Renbourn Paul Simon and many others - Jimmy Page copied this from Davey Graham and also copied Black (Water) Mountainside from Bert Jansch - he is at liberty to do so as they are both traditional pieces and you cannot own an arrangement but he lowered himself when he claimed or failed to acknowledge the origin of the tunes on his albums
This is great! and it also makes me think that only a mind like Jimmy Page could have turned this piece around and make it sound Indian. Critics can say what they want but he was far ahead of his time.
Just brilliant.
gonna have to learn that sure is pretty

Search for "She Moved Thro' The Fair" and will Fly, you will get a DADGAD (D modal) tabbed version of this song. Not quite the same but close.

too much! Soulful eh?
The whole "White Summer" thing has always been controversial...it would have been so much better if Jimmy had not claimed he wrote it....
