They're both great. Corolla is small, boring and it's the last car you'll ever *need* to buy. The Civic is better, bigger, more fun, just not invincible.
Road noise is a big problem in the Civic. And why did Honda eliminate the engine TEMP gauge in the instrument cluster and replace it with an IDIOT light? Come on Honda, how cheap can you get?
Yes, I own a sport touring hatchback, and the road noise is definitely more prominent than it should be. Since I've got mine on lease, hopefully they can fix that issue with the hybrid civic this year. Other than that, great car 👍
Honda excels in engine responsiveness, ergonomics, use of interior space and driving dynamics as compared to its competitors. Also I like how it packages its trims and keeps it simple for manufacturing as well as its customers.
Hondas of the 90s were their great days. Cheap affordable, fun to drive and great reliability. They had the value fun reliability down pat. Way too much money for a compact car with a CVT blah. Miss my old Hondas.

I bought this car three months ago and when I bought it, the rail under the driver's seat was shaking and apart from that, the stitches on the steering leather started to come off and there was a noise coming from the water inside the steering box and then my suspensions started making noise. I bought a new car and I don't even remember how many times I went to the warranty. I really had to deal with these. I don't know if I had to, I bought it because it was durable, but it doesn't make me happy these days, maybe it's just my luck.
For sure it's a bit pricier than competitors, but can't wait to hear how you guys feel about hybrid version, I own it for half a year now (Euro market), and once you try it out - all the comparisons against corolla/mazda 3 go out the window, hybrid is in a league of it's own...
I had this car. It was so slow! All the left out Amenities. I got rid of it and went for the Touring Sport Hatch. Night and day difference. It’s way better.
idk why u get a 170hp car with a cvt and expect it to be fast at all, i’m getting one jus cause it’s a good gas saver and driving a modified v8 everyday gets pricey. don’t gotta be fast for me
Sport trim? Where’s the temperature gauge? Why is Honda doing away with the temperature gauge? They did the same thing in the 2024 Ridgeline and I’m sure the Pilot and Passport since the Ridgeline is based on those two vehicles. Why?
People who actually care about stuff like coolant and oil temperatures are probably going to install a digital dashboard like the banks power iDash, but I do agree it's dumb. I'm sure it warns you. My 2007 Chevy Impala overheated and told me to shut it off (water pump started pissing coolant) so I'm sure that no doubt it's gonna warn you in time.
It doesnt really compare, Corolla comes with more features for less money. Also found better materials like soft touch plastics vs hard touch plastics. but people like the driving experience of the Civic better
@@InvestWithAlex I traded in my 23 Corolla for a 24 Civic. Civic has sunroof, heated seats, and blind spot monitor which the Corolla lacked. Sure the Corolla had SXM on the radio and power seats but its far inferior in my experience. Not to mention the CVT transmission in the Corolla with the physical first gear is absolutely horrible and boring to drive. I am also getting 6 more mpg in the Civic. The Civic is a better car than a Corolla for a list of reasons.
@@odbza6655 I traded in my 18 Q50 and spent months comparing the Corolla SE and Civic Sport. I'm assuming you went with the touring trim for those extra features. My Corolla has blind spot monitoring and sunroof, which for comparable trim (SE vs Sport) the Civic sport lacked. I also liked how the door panel and dashboard were all soft touch vs the hard plastic on Civic. The Corolla has gotten me better MPG's and the physical first gear means less wear on the CVT. They're both equally slow, Corolla SE vs Civic Sport, SE was a bit faster. 0-60 wise. But I'm sure the 1.5t on the touring is much faster than the 2.0, but sacrifices maintainability (premium fuel, wears engine faster, etc) Overall I found the Corolla is a few thousand less for comparable trims so it gave me the better value. Styling wise I love the new Civic.
Yeah, you can easily spend $5K more if you spec. out a Mazda. Thing is, that $5K gives you not just luxury options that no trim level of the Civic has, but also gives you a turbo-charged 4-cylinder engine that highlights just how _pathetic_ the Civic's turbo-charged 4-cylinder engine really is. Heck, the non-turbo charged engine on the Mazda 3 is putting out more power than the Civic's optional turbo-charged engine. Also, you get All-Wheel Drive on the Mazda for that $5K. You are easily getting your money's worth on the Mazda 3.
My 2018 civic hatchback just got totaled. I was paid out and was looking to get a 2024 maybe 25 hatchback.. yeahhhh.. don’t know about that anymore. The 10th gens looked more aggressive and I loved the look, these new 11th gens just don’t have it. And to get what I had in my basic hatchback I’ll have to go up to a touring? Yeah you’re smoking dick hairs honda.

I have a 2024 Honda civic sport touring hatchback in boost blue. I freaking love it. Best car for me

The 2003 Honda Civic I hand down to my youngest sister...the car is still working. Honda lasts forever!

Premature 1.5T blown head gasket is the deal breaker.

For 32k you can buy a camry with options or a 6 cylinder camtry even or awd
