- During my trip to New Zealand, the folks at Wētā Workshop made a dream of mine come true by turning me into a dwarf! Join me as I get in the make-up chair, don dwarven armor, and go in search of a pint in Wellington!
NOTE: this is a rather simpler process than what Wētā uses for its productions - this go-round was for fun, not film!

I absolutely love that you are being rewarded for your dedication to this fandom. You have always offered interesting content in an approachable manner which is so key to introducing new people, young and old, to the Tolkien universe. It can be daunting, and as with all fandoms, can be very intimidating to the uninitiated. This also leads to a fair bit of gate keeping which I have never once detected in your videos. You have always offered fair and balanced critiques without admonishment.

I love how you got their personal stories and pictures they took themselves. What a great production, you do such a great job on your work. I don’t watch the LOTR films very often to preserve my fascination with them, so this channel is perfect for getting our weekly/daily fill of Middle Earth.

I adore Tulkas and Tom Bombadil. The whimsy of them both are very charming. That Tulkas shows up bellowing laughter that rolls like thunder is such a great personality. Tom its the mystery. He's this delightful personality in a world riddles with such hardships. He's honestly the goal isn't he? The peace? Being with the one your love? Enjoying just existence? That's the dream.

It is really impressive how makeup and effects artists can just transform someone like that.

Brilliant, Dwarf me up. Love this. One of my favourite bits of the hobbit behind the scenes was the dwarves boots, which made sense being so heavy it physically grounded them and forced them to move like boulders across the ground.
I'm Scottish and fully approve of a dwarven makeover. Fantastic work! Need to make my way over to New Zealand one day for a LotR roadtrip!
