Centering is perhaps the only thing about grading that we can be certain of. Any other defects that are visible to the naked eye we can also catch but anything else is really up to the grader. I personally prefer bgs slabs so I normally grade with them but if I’m certain that the card won’t get a bgs 10 y go with PSA since they are less harsh to grade.
really nice submissions! I have yet to submit cards to a grading company, but this does provide some insight on how knowing your card conditions before yields good results😄
I like PSA but, I'm currently grading with SGC. I know they are the lesser of the 3 companies. But I do like the black slabs and the cost per card. Value usually isn't off by much if they come back a 10.
Yeah but they sell for less also compare to psa 10 which i still dont get...I've seen a 151 blastoise that's worth over 200 for a psa 10 go for a little over 100 for a cgc 10 smh...not sure if I want to submit my cards to either beckett or psa
Hey Jake! Great video! You may have done it already, but maybe a video giving us an idea on your process of selecting cards to grade? I want to send more in, but I don’t seem to have the eye for picking 10’s! 😂
The point here is really to make sure that you examine and prep your cards for submission. Anything questionable and you are rolling the dice for something less than a 10. Jake obviously has a good eye for what to submit. Congrats on your return!
Beautiful collection. Gotta love the passion with Pokémon. I am a big umbreon so I would love to add the yunagaba umbreon to my collection. I don’t have anything graded I am just happy with collecting. I do have a Charizard for celebrations that I would grade. Once I get the moon umbreon I will grade that as well. Great video.
I’m brand new to this and have a couple of questions. Your opinion would be very helpful. I want to send in my Shadow Mewtwo Amiibo card to get graded by either PSA or CGC. The thing is it’s sealed in the original plastic it came in. The cards condition is mint. Now my question is should I send it as is (likely with signs of minor finger prints on the plastic), or take it out of the seal and send it out raw (incased carefully in something else). I want really want to go for that perfect 10 grading. What would you do?
My last 80+ card sub came back ROUGH! It was TCG bulk for reference and mostly modern Japanese. I submitted 3 full sets of the Yu Nagaba eevees, and only was able to put together 1 PSA 10 set (def not sequential too). The rest were 9's or less. haha Ouch... Your sub was incredible, congrats!
I think I was able to open 7-9 of my own packs straight from pokemon center JP, and then the rest were complete sets opened from Mercari JP. Maybe that was my mistake! haha@@TwicebakedJake
Haven't finish the vid, but great cards and grades dude! The important question here is they you send them with your handle so they its you? idk so i cant be making shit up but thanks!
Thanks for sharing Jake! Funny… my daughter and i just submitted a bunch of crown zenith, vstar universe and vmax climax cards to psa the other day. Hoping we have the same awesome success rate you just pulled! Out of curiosity, how do you ship your cards to psa… and then how do you return ship? the psa fedex insured option is expensive and adds up quick!
I have collectibles insurance already which helps. I use general USPS tracking the cards were all in rigid card savers and penny sleeves bubble wrapped. PSA has a great instruction for how to package your cards!
Very nice PSA returns. I want to get a couple of cards graded, but knowing they won't come back high but it's for my personal collection so it does not matter.
I had a few cards I was alittle concerned about the centering. I know PSA is 60/40 or better. A few of your 10s centering were like mine. I feel better they will 10 out.
this is why you don't spend extra for a psa 10, everything modern is a psa 10 these days lol. look at pop reports... modern cards are like 70-80 percent 10s
It depends on the value of the cards. If a card is estimated a certain value, you have to pay an additional tax of sorts. Since he chose lower rated cards now? It's a better return for the future.
Question? How did you manage to only spend $500 on grading all of those especially gett8ng psa 10's. Id be lucky to spend $600 minimum. Asking because i have more Im ready to send in
My buddy Poke Vault has great tutorials on PSA submission. It's not too bad. You can try it on PSA website. They don't charge you until your cards are graded and returned so you can make practice submissions at no charges
Just curious since these aren't very expensive cards. even after grading they are around 40 -50 USD / Why did you decide to grade them ? any particular reason?
This is bulk submission for cards that I think are great. They may be $40 - $50 now but they could be worth hundreds later. They cost much more to grade when they're expensive so grading them when they're cheap is a good strategy.
Curious, what is the exact turnaround time for this return? This question is open to anyone who has gotten back a bulk return recently as well. Just submitted cards not too long ago, honestly pretty concerned about PSA damaging my cards considering there’s been consistent damage to the top right corner of peoples cards in their returns all throughout this year.
I wish i didint start my collection with PSA. They are not constant on their grading and they have middlemen across the country and you get better grades using them than grading yourselves. Sent a card that got a 6, cracked and resent with their middleman and it got a 10, snakes
The full grading cost was $506.50. The total value after grading is $1,800 - $2,000 (Due to the addition of sequential value). I think you're looking for the total value ungraded which was $600 - $800.
People saying influencer grades amd stuff have no clue 😂 If your cards are fine you get 9s and 10s simple. Whats all the conspiracy about. Mad. I just got all 10s and 9s on cards from 2009-2016 its not hard
You sent like nothing good lol, I be sending Shiny charizards, Gengar alt arts, Umby alt arts, these cards you sent aren't even really worth grading. Also PSA def knows its you, so many cards that got 10's have terrible centering like the Irida
Lately I've started collecting cards from artists I like. I love illustration rares but this makes me excited about common cards as well.
you missed the sylveon on the sequntial set.
how much per card does it cost for grading?
$500?! I'm definitely never grading.
Lmao same
Different cost based on the expected value of the card after it’s graded
That’s not expensive at all if you look at the graded price and the raw price of cards
500$ is cheap. my last subs were 4000$ and 2000$
but on the plus side you get 10-15k$ in return
@@honkingthechickenaway5973not all hobbyists can afford time and money to grade.
jake has such a good eye for grading! 90% psa 10 returns!
That's an early Christmas gift. lol. 💯
Been looking so forward to another PSA returns video LETS GOOOO. That sequential set is INCREDIBLE

BGS is awesome. PSA is too. Its a tough choice. I just think psa is a little more lenient when it comes to centering and other defects.
really nice submissions! I have yet to submit cards to a grading company, but this does provide some insight on how knowing your card conditions before yields good results😄
that was awesome bro congrats! i’m planning on doing my second psa submission my first one i did back when crown zenith went out went really good
I like PSA but, I'm currently grading with SGC. I know they are the lesser of the 3 companies. But I do like the black slabs and the cost per card. Value usually isn't off by much if they come back a 10.
congrats! very nice additions to the collection. Must say that I love the slabs from CGC better, the feel and look of them
And cheaper to grade too!
@@Toy_command a lot cheaper! Easy choice for me.
Yeah but they sell for less also compare to psa 10 which i still dont get...I've seen a 151 blastoise that's worth over 200 for a psa 10 go for a little over 100 for a cgc 10 smh...not sure if I want to submit my cards to either beckett or psa
Nice one! Be cool to see with the 9s if you could notice what might have marked them down.
That's like a straight flush of Eeveelutions. lol

Love your longer videos
Big congrats on your psa 10 set Jake. Just sent in my 1st return only 6 of 22 came back 10s. Guess i need to get better at sending cards in 😅
Great video Jake! My son pulled a god pack from vstar universe. Do you recommend PSA grading the Pikachu only? Or the entire set of 9? Thanks!
The grading market crashed so hard. A lot of these psa 10s were worth 2x earlier this year

I don’t have anything graded I am just happy with collecting. I do have a Charizard for celebrations that I would grade. Once I get the moon umbreon I will grade that as well. Great video.
Hey Jake. Please tell us when you shipped this to PSA so we can understand current turnaround times.
I currently takes 2 - 3 months for bulk subission

Oof that is rough. I opened my own yu nagaba packs. Did you buy them as singles or did you get packs?
I think I was able to open 7-9 of my own packs straight from pokemon center JP, and then the rest were complete sets opened from Mercari JP. Maybe that was my mistake! haha@@TwicebakedJake
Really nice grades! My own return with the Yu Nagaba promos should be arriving on Monday. So glad to finally have the whole set in PSA 10 too!
Is psa 10 better than a cgc 10? Ive seen a blastoise 151 psa worth over 200 get sold for a little over 100 just for a cgc 10
Audio does in fact work lol, thanks for the content homie
Are you not missing the sylveon in that sequential?
I have it, it's offscreen when I ran out of space. It ends in #208 and you see it in the video. Good call out!
hey im new to collecting pokemon cards. What would you suggest I should buy first to start? I was thinking I should just buy any etbs
Great title my guy 😂 appreciate the reupload and great content!!
Thank you for this info Jake!
Every time I’ve ever sent a card for grading it’s been 1 at a time haha. I really need to send 10+
Can you make a video on how you decide what to submit? You clearly have an eye for 10’s.
Insanely good.returns, sequential gem mint 10.eeveelutions is super crazy
This one of the best unvails ive seen. Congrats on the 10 pulls

I didn't use my handle and I promise you they don't care who I am. They go off submission #
I am new to collecting and what wondering where you see the prices for graded cards?
Excellent haul really done well on the grading

Nice haul. Although, how did some of those get 10!? Centering seemed significantly off with some of those 10s.
interesting, that the cards you chosen are not that expensive now, and may have great potential in future.
It's a bulk submission. PSA will charge you a lot more for expensive cards.
What about the Yu nagaba leafeon and Glaceon??
Love love love the Psa return vids.
Hey, id be xurious to see what you think of the detective pikachu promo?
Is the sylveon sequential as well? It wasn't there when u lined them all up
Just submitted my first few cards to get graded! Hoping for at least an 8 or 9. Mainly grading them for my personal collection
how many did u grade? idk if i should wait till i get like 40-50 or send my 20-25
So lucky! Congrats!

Apparently PSA IS still handing out 10s like candy lol
I believe that’s why most people prefer to grade with them
this is why you don't spend extra for a psa 10, everything modern is a psa 10 these days lol. look at pop reports... modern cards are like 70-80 percent 10s
The cards are worth a bit over 1000, and the grading cost is 500. Isn't the grading prices a bit high?

Nice slabs Jakester! How long did it take to get your cards back from grading?
100 💯 years

theyre not gonna damage ur cards lol
@@TwicebakedJakemine took four months after the grades were ready. Every submission is different
@@jasonwills8725 I don't know why PSA sat on your completed slabs. Was this during the pandemic? That's definitely a weird case.
@@tomb9330 I hope so, but seen too many people report damaged cards to feel super confident.
The real question is why does Jake need to crack this bad boy open?!🤔
Nice return Jake.
Next time do same amount of cards to cgc or & ags! Loved the video & congratulations on sequential!🎉
I wish i didint start my collection with PSA. They are not constant on their grading and they have middlemen across the country and you get better grades using them than grading yourselves. Sent a card that got a 6, cracked and resent with their middleman and it got a 10, snakes

That's awesome can you send me the link to your ebay
Its at the top of the video description!
I found it my bad
the girl cards are the best. KAI カイ (Irida did you say?) is very kawaii.
there wasnt a total cost/value breakdown?
The full grading cost was $506.50. The total value after grading is $1,800 - $2,000 (Due to the addition of sequential value). I think you're looking for the total value ungraded which was $600 - $800.

Frankly these yu nagaba cards are really low-effort and lame, not interested.
