- Once Upon A Time: Sergio Leone
A documentary commission by FilmFour that was first broadcast in 2000. A portion of this documentary appears on the OUATIA DVD but this is the COMPLETE version.
Sergio gave America back it's culture in a way that few foreign directors have!!
Clint was pretty smart to work with Sergio. This is my favorite of all the Clint / Sergio movies. The pacing. The dialogue. The close ups. The suspense. Just an amazing movie.
Sergio & Ennio are the greatest team in History.
I should have been born Italian. Greatest artists in Europe, nicest food, prettiest women.
Wow the comments here are from six years ago. Crazy to think. I’m just trying to find anything and everything about Leone. I just love the director. My exposure of his films through my teens made me love film. Now with ambitions to become a filmmaker I like to say when I succeed I will look at this director and many others with a thumbs up.
Thanks for the date (2000!)
You see in this world there’s two kinds of Moviemakers. SERGIO LEONE. And then everyone else! YOU DIG ?
The Mussolini footage was just him complaining about food. ''Yesterday i had focaccia... with walnuts!'' ''And only last week i had gelato, tomato flavoured gelato!''
I love how some interviewed Italians speak English like it's Italian, with the intonations and everything. at 5:27-5:33 for example.
Swords and Sandal films, Giallo 'Who Done Its', and Spaghettis. WOW!! The Italians do it all!!
Good to see Mr Leone loved beautiful women his wife is very beautiful.
