OMG!! You are really coming down to the wire! All these great presents you're sewing, still shopping to do for the boys and still putting out fabulous vlogmas videos!! Wow! Your bestie bags are so great looking!! Your day at the museum looked super fun and your niece is adorbs. It was nice of her to be in the video. Your mum is beautiful. I have to say that to me the art looked beautiful and wild and amazing but also like a sensory overload - I would probably be glad to only have 30 seconds.
I know, I don't know why I decided to make so many presents - I'm quite loopy. 😆 Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I understand what you mean about the sensory overload - some of the spaces were quite a lot! But I think I would have liked a little longer in most! It did feel very rushed!
Love the dress you're wearing! It's great that you're able to take advantage of the cultural activities of your city while also spending time with family. The Kusama exhibition looks so exciting! I'm a huge fan of polka dots. Thank you for sharing your adventures from the graffiti to the fabric store to the sushi to the train. I've never lived in a huge city... you seem to be involved with the advantages of the city while living and working in a suburb... the best of both worlds! You let your wild side show with that hot pink fabric! And another great combo for your mom's present.
Thanks Peg! I don't usually go into the city this much, but I have really been enjoying all of the fun things on offer recently. It's been especially fun to have my niece visiting and to play tourist together!
You are a Bestie Bag MACHINE! They all look amazing. Your friends and family are lucky ducks! My (adult) kids and their partners are getting quilts for Christmas this year, and everyone else is getting my traditional cookie boxes and jars of homemade granola. (Obviously I will have to make them for the kids, too. Quilts are good, but cookies are a non-negotiable!) I have been a quilting machine for the past couple of weeks, but I've just finished my last client quilt today (hooray!), I'm working at the quilt shop tomorrow, and then my house will become a full time bakery until our two family Christmases this weekend. Then I am going to take a week long nap. 😅 Good luck with all your shopping! 💙 Oh, and that pink linen is delicious! 💗
Hahah thank you Tamsyn. I can't believe I am up to Bestie Bag Number 5 this month now. 😂 Your cookie boxes and granola sound amazing, and lucky quilt recipients! Good luck with all the baking! 😆
The exhibit looked amazing! When you said there were time limits I was expecting 10 min or so, NOT seconds 😳 That’s high pressure! That hot pink linen is amazing! I can’t wait to see your pants.
Well your day started out with real life 😂. What an amazing experience though! Wonderful girls day. Thanks for taking us along. I loved the glimpses of the art installations. Good luck with your Christmas shopping
Thank you so much Nancy! It was a very busy day. I have another school drop-off tomorrow and think I'd better set my alarm a little earlier to avoid another hectic morning! 😂
We are very lucky here with all the exhibitions and shows we get! I think my mum will love the bag too! It's different to anything else she has, so hopefully she'll find it practical.
Thank you Izzy - it was incredible the way she used mirrors to make the spaces look so much bigger than they were. You'd stand outside a little box-looking space, and then go in and feel like you'd stepped into another world!
I have just found your channel and Vlogmas Sarah. Your video took me right back to January this year - almost a year ago - when my daughter and I came to Melbourne to stay with my brother. Your niece coming from Geelong took me back as we went there for the day while we were staying at St Leonard’s. My daughter went to the NGV, we went to see the graffiti and I went to Tesutti Fabrics. It was like re-living our time there. Back in the UK now. Great video. Karen
Hi Karen, thank you for watching and commenting! It's funny - I have never taken the time to wander slowly through the graffiti in Hosier Lane - it was fun to play "tourist" in my own city. I should do it more often! So much to explore. 😊
Loved your. Video! We visited Melbourne a couple of years ago to the garden expo! Loved Melbourne and the trams and the artistic alleyways ! The hot pink will look awesome! Merry. Christmas from Brisbane
Thank you! I haven't ever been to the Garden Show but my sister went for her birthday about 25 years ago because she was obsessed with Jamie Durie and she wanted to see him in real life! 🤣
Looks like you had a lovely day in the city. Wow, you are so good making all those bestie bags. It is a beautiful handmade gift. Is that the medium size you have made?
Thank you - it was a great day out! Yes, all the gift bestie bags I'm making in the medium size. It's a great size - perfect for an every day bag that fits plenty inside but isn't cumbersome at all.
Love your Vali Dress. Out of curiosity what instruments do you play. It's this your music or of the internet. It makes me want to get my viola out😂😂. I'm no where near this good though 😊. Your trip looks like so much fun❤❤
Thank you Katrina! My instrument at uni was the flute but I've always been in choirs and that's my main interest now - I rarely play the flute! The music I'm using for the videos is all from Uppbeat - they have a great selection (I have a paid subscription which gives me unlimited access to the library).

You are certainly on a roll with the bestie bags...just beautiful!
I can't believe I'm up to number 5 this month now! 😆. I am so happy with all of them though!

Thank you Erin! Yes, it was rather surprising to have such a short burst of time in the spaces! 😂

I so envy you the art and theater scene! Your mom’s going to absolutely love that bag!

It was very cool! I felt very lucky to get to go already!

Must go to Tessuti one day. Love their patterns. And the new exhibition is on my list for January.
Yes it wasn't in my plans but when I was in the area I thought it was fate! It was a lovely shop! I'm sure you'll love the exhibition too!
Bless you! You've taken on a lot, but I think you' ll manage just fine.😊
Thank you Karen. I hope so - I really shouldn't put so much pressure on myself!
Wow, that looked like a great day. Your bestie bags, are ....the best 👌
Thank you Annette! It was such a great day! And I'm so glad I got to share it here - it's such a lovely way to document adventures!
Those bestie bags are so special, each with its own personality! Loved seeing your day out! Good luck getting your shopping done tomorrow. ❤❤❤ Suzanne
Did it really get up to 41 degrees? I can’t imagine. I cringe when it hits near 30 😂
Thank you Suzanne!
I think it didn't quite get there, but got close! Maybe 38 or 39! It was nice to be back to cooler weather today (around 24). 😊
Wishing you shopping luck Sarah. Such a lovely day you had. ❤
Thank you so much Jeni!
So enjoying your Vlogmas Sarah - you have inspired me to make a Bestie bag!
Thank you so much Annie! I hope you enjoy making the Bestie!
Fabulous 😅😊❤

@SoSarahSewed Ahh. That's why your music is so good.😊
You accomplish so much 😮
Luckily I'm on holidays! 😂 I feel very motivated at the moment. I'll be ready for a big rest after Christmas. 😆
What an incredible exhibition’ but wow… talk about being rushed through… 20 seconds! Go!!!
Yes, it was amazing! I would have really liked more time in some of those spaces though. 😬
