  • Although pretty small I still thought it would be a good idea to do a short room tour of my dorm here at uni.

      Preetam Parija Hey! Congrats for getting accepted! This is Band D and from what I know graduate students stay in the same courts as other students!

      Thank you for the reply. If you have some spare time kindly reply. Which court of residence and Band is better? (overall)

      Preetam Parija I’d say that most courts are pretty similar. The biggest difference is probably between band c & d as d has an en-suite whereas band c only has a sink in the room. So it all really depends on your accommodation budget and what you value.

    What sizes are the beds in Band D? I'm moving in in September, been trying to figure out what fitted sheets and stuff to buy lol

    • @Dinerik
      @Dinerik  7 лет назад

      I believe they are 90cm by 200cm, i.e. single beds. I had the same struggles last year so I know what it's like haha good luck with everything and if you have any further questions just let me know! :)

      Thanks! I also found a buncho reading lists and stuff on my self-service, does it mean that I have to buy all the books? How does this work?:O

    • @Dinerik
      @Dinerik  7 лет назад

      No usually your lecturers will recommend that you read the books that they have added to the reading lists, however you usually only "need" one book (the core/main book) per module. It's a bit confusing knowing what to buy and not to buy and you only really know exactly which books to get when you've had a couple of lectures. Although my safest bet would be to get the ones on the reading list that say something in the lines of "mandatory" or "core reading" as they are usually the books that the lecturer uses. Otherwise you can always ask a student in the year above from your course what books to get. You can most likely find those students on the FB group for your course! Hope that helps :)

    what court is this? Ive been allocated twyford court for september

    • @Dinerik
      @Dinerik  7 лет назад +1

      This is University court, so it's a bit different that Twyford but should have the same things and same sizes of furniture etc since they're both band D! Hope your move goes well and if you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask!
