As a Nigerian, I can honestly tell you I have NEVER seen or heard a black person as articulate as Dr. Carr about Africa, in real time. He is not even trying. The shit is so natural to him. Hearing him tell the African story so accurately from West, to East to South within minutes, gives me goosebumps. I salute these King and Queen. I am deeply grateful for the knowledge!

Ancestor Dr. Frances is deeply missed. She truly opened me up to knowledge that was unspoken yet conveyed in my family and community. I’m thankful to her. I was impressed with her intellect and the single minded wisdom that she represented. Her vibration was so strong.
    Another powerful class!
I look forward to Saturday with you Family.

siriuslyspeaking So true! There is a concept that 45s people are attempting to convey as unAmerican, disloyal and evil and it’s called Critical Race Theory. I won’t get into it in this post, but it seems to negate our collective demand for social justices by criticizing our attempts to state real and factual history instead of the miseducation and propaganda taught in schools and higher learning institutions.
It’s disingenuous to believe that any stand for social justices is a disloyal act and un-American. Sexual Harassment Prevention training was developed because white women were fed up with being harassed for sex in the workplaces that they wanted to enter to support their families. Black women ADOS have been beneficiaries by proxy. We were already systemically harassed for sex. I’m sure no white woman is willing to say sexual harassment prevention training is not necessary. If I recall two Supreme Court judges have been accused. My point is if a social justice initiative supports them then it’s okay. If it supports us it is illegitimate, unAmerican and evil.
I think we allow them to gaslight us into submission. That needs to stop immediately if we ever have a chance to advance in this moment.
      😘

SO MUCH knowledge being dropped here!
I had long been aware of Dr. Cress Welsing's ISIS PAPERS (have owned it a couple of times, in fact...gave copies away), but, I notice that Dr. Carr and Ms. Hunter are invoking an OSIRUS PAPERS. I hadn't been aware of that one, but, I'm certainly going to be looking into it, though. Dr. Carr's quoting, though, about everything else being confusing, if one hasn't an understanding of the mechanisms of white supremacy, is also directly out of THE ISIS PAPERS, so, I'm hoping that they might happen to be the same work, by a different name.
If not, I'm gonna have to acquire THE OSIRUS PAPERS, asap!

Karen Hunter Show I wrote something on twitter today tagging you and Dr. Carr. I’m not sure if you saw it but I had a question for you too. Is it possible one Saturday to do a video dedicated or talking about Medgar Evers. And I ask that because I just got finished watching all of the episodes of Lovecraft Country that was released thus far. And the references to Emmet still were brilliant in the series and I know that Evers played a role in the trial and made efforts to be supportive and helpful to the family. Some historians say that his involvement with still is part of the reason as to why he was killed. But I feel like we don’t talk enough about Medgar. I’d appreciate it!!

I've been saying for some time now that much of the mental illness that exists in our community is directly caused by a deficit of family and communal love. Sometimes it's not a deficit, but it's an outrught absence of love. In either of those two conditions, mental illness has fertile ground to come into existence.

It wouldn't stop generic dehumanization and oppression. It would probably contribute even more to being seen as an "other", and sadly, "others" are often perceived as being worthless or in need of eradication. Look at the Native Americans, Roma, and other groups who had all three of these aspects of culture and what happened to them.

The ancestors are looking upon Dr. Carr and Karen Hunter with gratitude at their sheared diligence in talking about the storytelling experiences of our elders history. When I tune in to your channel it's like being that little girl sitting down indian-style in front of your elder with the hand under your chin and listening with anticipation to the family history and their part in our lives. Man I love the fact that Dr. Carr has such a oratory memory of the facts and he often gets excited when he's explaining. It's like bursting with joy to get the story out of his system. I definitely have to own a recorder to record some of my family stories through my oldest sister's eyes that I wasn't aware of and was truly fascinating to hear. I am also involved in DNA Ancestry to connect the dots about our family's past especially our mother's family tree. I've been told by my mother is that my name is three generations old. I love the communal harmony between the two of you and I will continue stay tuned to share your knowledge with family and friends. Thank you so much for your insight!!

Professor Hunter thank you for taking us to school every Saturday. I appreciate that fact that I am not alone in my thinking about these institutions. Dr. Carr is a brilliant mind and the perfect example of what I think a college professor should be. I have to go back and rewatch to get the titles of the books.

There is a saying that "Beggars are not choosers". Many black countries got political independence but never got economic independence. So we will always be dependent on the western world. So one of the keys to get out of the rut is to build up our economical base in North America, Europe and Britton and make connections to the black diaspora. The Jews did it. The Italians did it. The Irish did it. The Cubans did it. It is time for us to do it. Once we get there then we will have a say in the political system.

Wow! Professor Karen and Dr. Carr, every time I open up a session, you two are blowing my mind! I love how Dr. Carr just smoothly flows from subject to subject punctuating it all with books! I love books the way most women love shoes! First of all, I just want to jump through the screen into Dr. Carr’s room full of books and stay there until I’m thrown out! Second, my brain is on fire because of all the stimulation. For example, we were a sports family; we played everything running, jumping and swimming. We watched and studied, so when you started describing the student from The Carlisle school, I knew it was Jim Thorpe. My Dad taught us that he was Native American. I just love these classes! They really give me life! Thank you all!❤️
