Its funny you mention about not been able to notice the growth after a while. I'm a few days shy of 5 months into this beard and I've been taking a pic every day for a time-lapse video, and although I don't really notice the growth anymore I can still definitely see it when I look back over the pics.
This really put my doubts to rest. I've been thinking for a while that my beard had stopped growing and reached its terminal length, but hearing you say it takes years for that to happen - I can sleep better at night now.
Thank you so much for this video. I needed a little inspiration to keep going. I’m going on three months growth and was having some doubt about whether my beard was still growing or not. Your comments have helped a lot, thanks!
I like having a longer goatee and trimmed down abit on the sides. I hate the poofy look on the sides. Drives me nuts. I also have to trim my mustache above my lips because I hate when It gets in my mouth.
Hey man just wanted to say thanks for all the videos and products! I am a first time bearded grow at 22 and while I stil have a a bald spot under my chin and a few other week spots I'm still growing strong thanks to your support.
I'm two months in with mine. I remember a previous video when you said you need patience to grow a bread so I'm really looking forward to seeing how long I can grow it. thanks for all the great videos 👍
I've been kinda doing a picture journal of pics once a month. This is a awesome way to see growth of my beard. Try it...I love taking my monthly pic, plus it give me more reason to keep "Beard On"!
Great video my friend! Thanks for all your helpful videos. As a new beardsmen, its nice to have great people like yourself also guidance with video to help me be patient and to prepare my bread for the future. Keep up the great work! Happy breading!
I've been growing for about a year and a half now, i think my beard has reached terminal length as i have not noticed growth in a long time. very disappointing as it's still relatively short and not equal length all over
I'm roughly 6 foot 3 and I've grown my hair for 15 years now. In 10 years it hasn't grown at all and it's roughly just past my waist. My beard has also stopped growing from what I can tell. I don't measure it properly but at a stretch or when wet it is also down to my waist but resting it's at my belly button. Feels like this is the limit to what I can achieve.
I have no intent of "downing" your products at all because I've watched all you videos and they are extremely helpful. But have you ever heard of the brand "Old Iron Beard"? I was wondering if you've ever tried there products?? Love to hear your opinion!
How about the stache? My beard is 2 years and 3 months and pretty long but I feel like my mustache has just about stopped at the bottom of my lip. I'm really looking for that epic stache to go along with my epic beard.
i have had a beard since i was 14(not like 7 inches but baby hairs sort of) and my frinds dont remeber how i look without a beard so they call me skägget("the beard" in swedish, proper viking stuff) im 20 now and and its about 12cm(5inches) and its still growing strong, a bit slower but slow and steady wins the race
It's something i actually thought of to, i lose allot of hears everyday i brush it i lose atleast lik 10 long haires, it seems like it won't get any longer then this, i have my beard a year now...
Its a weird coincidence but im growing out my beard for the first time and this last week i was thinking it had just stopped. Im roughly 9 to 10 weeks in.
I have a serious question, don't want to be mean or anything. When a girl kisses you does she like it? I mean your lips are all covered in hair so... you know... Like I said I don't want to be rude because in fact I would love to grow a beard like that.
+oh baby a tripol ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Never been a issue for me. If you are trying to get with a girl and she does not like your beard, you probably are not going to be in the situation of kissing her.
+oh baby a tripol ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) hey bro, as I see it there are two types or girls. The ones that are gonna love it and then, there are the others... Well, these are just not worth it..
I just have a weird problem where the hairs just under my chin leading down to my Adam's apple stay very short while the hair on my face, chin and on my jaw-line stay at a steady length. I always end up with a weird chin-beard when trying to grow it out fully
man please help as my beard start growing at a age of 17 but now i am 20 and my beard hair is falling out very quickly neither i cut my beard as it is against my religion....i ask doctor but nothing really help me..
Anybody notice that their beard grows a little faster and thicker in the cold winter months? I think mine does but it might just be my imagination. Years ago I had a Himalayan cat who had to live in my garage (wife's allergies) and in the winter he looked like a white basketball with a head. Do beards operate the same way?
Quick question, my beard is decently long after 8 months of growing it out but the problem is half of the hairs are curly and half aren't so it just looks terrible since the curly hairs end up curling half way down the beard. Any tips on how to even it out? Thanks.
Literally have just started to think about how my beard has stopped growing and then I see this video. I'm about 9 months in and I can't see any growth from like the 6th month. I also shed a lot of hair which is worrying. Any advice or tips?
beard Baron. I grew mine out and didn't know what I was doing. I want to start over, almost. I'm gonna hack almost all of it off and just leave about 1". I have clippers. what are your thoughts on that? I pulled a few hairs and you can see how badly I cared for it once you look at them. it almost looks like somehow the hairs had split about 4" ago. but somehow morphed back and kept growing. it's all tangled up, the bottom inch curls and shoots off to the sides. I just want to start over. let me know your thoughts if you don't mind
Ok my comment doesn't pertain to this video but I work in -10 degrees in a freezer what's the best maintenance for that? And I'm also trying to get my beard to look like Brett keisle from the steelers so if anyone has any tips please let me know.
My beard has grown normally and became so rich but my barber cut about 1 inch of it trying to arrange the hair length all around my face but it is stopped growing! and since that and my beard didn't grow for 1 millimeter! and recently I started to loose my beard hair! any solution? I don't want to shave what so ever as I can't imagine myself without a beard.
Mohd Hairi keep letting it grow brother! Get some stache wax and start training the hairs to grow in the desired direction. My mustache grows extremely slow as well. It take me around 9 months to get it where I'm happy with it. Hope this helps!
Baron, when is it time for the beard to go? And why I it si hard to let it go? You ever shaved a massive beard off? Mine I 16 months never trimmed. I cant help but feel the disadvantages of keeping it far outweigh the advantages.
Liverpool fan The main reason not to cut it is it takes quite a while to grow back. You take the time and effort to grow yet to get rid of it takes just minutes. Trim your Moustache hairs with a pair of hairdressing scissors to keep it out your mouth. If you just keep it growing in that area it will become very unsettling and somewhat annoying. I trim my hairs to where my upper lip is. This makes it much more comfortable. Also with a 1 blade precision side of a gillette just take the bits out under the nose. This still leaves a full and thick moustache but feels far more comfortable.
So I’ve been growing my beard for years now like last time I shaved was 2010. And mine has seemed to stop growing it’s maybe 12inches long. I say it’s stopped growing because it hasn’t changed in length in the last 4 years. I ended up moving to an new city in 2013 of course took pictures, and in pictures today the beard is the same. Is there anything I can do to jump start it again? I use grave before shave products as well as some others for beard care but nothing seems to work. I’ve even resorted to taking hair skin and nail vitamins and still nothing
genetics is your determinate factor in beard terminal length....some to your chest, some to your navel, some down to the floor and out the door.....but being anxious and worrying are known causes of hair/beard loss. relax, enjoy the fuzz as it is...it's always growing, it's always going to be there, even if you shave it off, it'll grow back, it's Hair!
I've been growing mine for 2 years and 4 months, at first it grew so fast it almost didn't seem natural, but now it's really slowed down or stopped, I figured by now based on the rate it was growing I'd have at least 12 inches by now, do you think I've probably hit terminal? The only thing that seems to grow is what I trim shaping or cutting back, I never cut length and I do use beard care products
What can I do against my beard curling itself into odd shapes? On the left it started to curl in a strange way that it looks like I cut a straight line into it. How can I get rid of this or male it even on both sides? I don't think trimming would be a good solution as it's not very long yet...
I've been grown my beard since February it's now October my beard still the length as it was back in May 😓😓😓and one side is longer& fuller then my other side .. Sucks makes me want to cut it off 😢🙈
Hey Beard Baron and brothers in beard, I'm on my 2nd serious beard. I'm at 3 months and started this beard with beard shampoo (not too often) and brushing and oiling it. My question is, my beard look best right after a shower, brush and oiling. It doesn't take a half a day maybe and the moisture is zapped out of my beard and it's frizzy. Is there a cure for this? It's winter in Indiana and the climate is dry. Any tips appreciated.
I like your vids very informative. I work with food and need to cover my beard. Now it is longer, I keep the sides trimmed but grow out the rest. I would like some help finding a suitable snood for full coverage now I have more beard😀. Please help me to keep my beard and keep growing it. Kindest regards Peter
I've been growing my beard for around 7 months and last month I got the feeling it wasn't growing anymore so I cleaned up the edges and saved off some of the neck part and it's been a month now and the neck part that usually grew the fastest is still stubble. What do I do? Also, I can really only grow a whaler type style beard cause it doesn't come that far up my cheek and I barely have a mustache, is there anything I can do about that or do I have to live with the way it grows in?
im 26 ive been growing beard since 19 but never more than 3 months... ii saw this video and just relaxed because im in month 4 and just noticed like if it stopped growing, i have curly beard and right now is hard to brush my beard with comb.. i feel like i pull out hairs and sometimes hairs come off, what kind of comb or brush would you recommed for curly beard?? because i feel that when i comb my beard dosnt look that good. like if i dont brush the hair all the way down to make it look long..
im 2 months into growing my beard everything is fine except now im seeing it shed alot when i comb brought beard oil n i still feel like it sheds a bit much
I wouldn't be too concerned. I have a approx 8 month full beard. I lose probably more than a dozen hairs a day. they are everywhere around the house etc. full thick beard still. ever notice how much hair a girl loses on her head everyday. just a cycle.
Ensure your beard is wet when combing and use a proper handmade comb McGrody. A Plastic machine made comb will drag the hairs out and this is not a good thing when growing. Once long enough hold the top of the hair when combing and again this should help stop the falling out.
What about terminal Velocity? I mean the max length witch one can grow without it looking hoboish. Is this a thing or well cutting and growing take care of thus issue?
Dear baron, my mustache is not full, it have big spaces betwen the hair, looks like a teen mustache. Wath a can do to have a full mustache like your? I
I've got platinum blonde hairs mixed all over my cheeks. (most of my hair is brown) This causes it to look thin. I just want my hair to be the same color. lol
If I'm honest, I'll take it natural. I can deal with the blonde hairs. I absolutely don't want to mess up my face with dye. But I appreciate the input.
The only hair that is blonde on my entire body resides on my cheeks. I'm hoping it'll darken as I age. I'm only 22. Otherwise, growing a beard has been quite the experience!
Whenever it's long enough to run through the hairs, I usually start combing mine after like two weeks. You can do it as long as their is enough hair really.
i have a realy curly beard lile the hairs hold a shape thats half its actual shape. But whenever i comb it LOADS OF HAIRS COME OUT. im not exagerating either i have a realy small comb and instead of breaking nots it just ends up ripping the hairs out at the roots. what do you suggest i do to prevent loss? btw awsome videos
take your time combing it's not a race. my suggestion would be to get yourself a wider tooth comb, I recommend wood. or you could always use a boars brush that might help lay down the curly hair
+MegaZayd1 not by using a comb now. a boars brush will depending on how curly it is. the brush is basically designed to help those hairs lay straight and to "train" what direction you want the hairs to go. again I would look into a wider tooth comb, I say wood just for the fact it's forgiving on the face. check out Texas beard brand.com. they offer them, great quality and reasonable price
Wide toothed comb and ONLY comb it when is wet. If it gets stuck, pull it out and start again. Don't pull or tug at the hairs. The knots will come out but be gentle. Once it's dry, don't touch it with a comb. You can use a boar bristle brush to help tame it but only brush it when it's dry so the hairs aren't as weak.
+MegaZayd1 yeah dude, mine is super curly and thick. They don't grow any curlier or thicker. I never got a wide tooth comb, so I can't speak to that, but I use a standard Kent comb in the shower after it is sufficiently wet, and then again after the shower while it is still damp and while combing through the oil or balm I use. Never comb while dry. It can't make it through without tearing it off your face.
I swear to the lord !! I know it sounds silly but I really feel like it's stopped . I've been growing it for 11 months & it looks the same as it did at 6 months
I would call that "maintaining a beard* rather than "growing" one. My goal is to grow one long enough that I can part it in the middle and tie it behind my neck, with a pony tail. But to each their own.

Hey Baron, love your advice. I'm almost out of beard oil... hmm
I love the scenery here.
*refrencing the beard*
As always another great video from the Baron!
Totaly right!
Another great video! Thanks Johnny! Semper Fi!
I've been growing for about a year and a half now, i think my beard has reached terminal length as i have not noticed growth in a long time. very disappointing as it's still relatively short and not equal length all over
bigredgrumbo that's ok brother! Keep it looking nice! Terminal length can increase with age as well!

I wish I could have a Gandalf beard but I haven’t shaved in yeeears, and it’s never gotten longer than about what Johnny’s is here.
dude!! I looked you up because of the same issue and saw this! I needed this exact video. I have a question though, if you can reach out to me
Great timing for this, thanks again!
Looking like you're in Bolivia about to have a sit down with Sosa for some white.
How about the stache? My beard is 2 years and 3 months and pretty long but I feel like my mustache has just about stopped at the bottom of my lip. I'm really looking for that epic stache to go along with my epic beard.
The lighting looks great in this video
phew. 6 months in and i started to wonder if it had stopped or was just me thinking it hadn't due to it seeming less as it is bigger
i have had a beard since i was 14(not like 7 inches but baby hairs sort of) and my frinds dont remeber how i look without a beard so they call me skägget("the beard" in swedish, proper viking stuff) im 20 now and and its about 12cm(5inches) and its still growing strong, a bit slower but slow and steady wins the race
My beard never stops growing! It's become one with my chest hair! Haha!
It's something i actually thought of to, i lose allot of hears everyday i brush it i lose atleast lik 10 long haires, it seems like it won't get any longer then this, i have my beard a year now...
gave me hope
Its a weird coincidence but im growing out my beard for the first time and this last week i was thinking it had just stopped. Im roughly 9 to 10 weeks in.
TLDR;
''fuckin chill guys!''
Tyson Davis Well.... That makes sense XD Thank's for answering.
+oh baby a tripol ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) hey bro, as I see it there are two types or girls. The ones that are gonna love it and then, there are the others... Well, these are just not worth it..
Exactly what Korpen said, my girlfriend loves my beard.
+oh baby a tripol ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Why do care about girls? does that worries you? Be a Man. NEVER run after women
I just have a weird problem where the hairs just under my chin leading down to my Adam's apple stay very short while the hair on my face, chin and on my jaw-line stay at a steady length. I always end up with a weird chin-beard when trying to grow it out fully
Liam Grice give it some time! I'm talking 3-5 months. Different hairs on different parts of the face differ greatly in their rate of growth.
How about when your patch stops growing? It's easy to perceive how short its staying..
why when I shave it grows my chin hair but if I don't shave it grows and from no where it stops growing??
I've been growing my beard since the beginning of '15 and I'm pretty sure my beard has stopped growing.
Thank you cause I really thought I hit it. I'm at 6 months now and I was scared that my beard quit growing
man please help as my beard start growing at a age of 17 but now i am 20 and my beard hair is falling out very quickly neither i cut my beard as it is against my religion....i ask doctor but nothing really help me..

well said
Thank you!
How do i look less middle eastern.. I'm hispanic
mine has after 2 years its not getting any longer

what if The beard baron, does not keep a beard and it's just fake?
Ok my comment doesn't pertain to this video but I work in -10 degrees in a freezer what's the best maintenance for that? And I'm also trying to get my beard to look like Brett keisle from the steelers so if anyone has any tips please let me know.

Mucha atención a todo lo que se dice.

I get mad with patches in my beard. if i get really mad I shave it
what should i do
Thanks I needed to hear that #beardbrothers
I love your beard and your videos your awesome

genetics is your determinate factor in beard terminal length....some to your chest, some to your navel, some down to the floor and out the door.....but being anxious and worrying are known causes of hair/beard loss. relax, enjoy the fuzz as it is...it's always growing, it's always going to be there, even if you shave it off, it'll grow back, it's Hair!

Hey Beard Baron and brothers in beard,
I'm on my 2nd serious beard.

I would like some help finding a suitable snood for full coverage now I have more beard😀. Please help me to keep my beard and keep growing it. Kindest regards Peter
I heard facial hair grows faster when it's cold or in cooler climates

Genetics may be against you but see my comment it may help.
I've got platinum blonde hairs mixed all over my cheeks. (most of my hair is brown)
This causes it to look thin.
I just want my hair to be the same color. lol
+Aaron Anderson You can always dye it brown...or black if you want maximum thickness.
If I'm honest, I'll take it natural.
I can deal with the blonde hairs.
I absolutely don't want to mess up my face with dye.
But I appreciate the input.
I feel your pain... lol. I've got a blonde goatee area with darker sides on my cheeks and neck.
The only hair that is blonde on my entire body resides on my cheeks. I'm hoping it'll darken as I age. I'm only 22.
Otherwise, growing a beard has been quite the experience!
Aaron Anderson
I don't know if it will darken, but it should get thicker as you get older. Mine kept getting thicker until I reached around 25 or so.
When should i start combing my beard ?
Whenever it's long enough to run through the hairs, I usually start combing mine after like two weeks. You can do it as long as their is enough hair really.
i guess im 22 yrs too young
i have a realy curly beard lile the hairs hold a shape thats half its actual shape.
+dmiller661 i like the curlyness it wouldnt be affected would it?
AlexAutomatix84 any changes?
So assuming you haven't trimmed yours, how long have you been letting it grow?
+Bruce McMicking I trim regularly about twice a month. Been growing a beard for almost 20 years.
I would call that "maintaining a beard* rather than "growing" one. My goal is to grow one long enough that I can part it in the middle and tie it behind my neck, with a pony tail. But to each their own.
Two can play at that game!
+Bruce McMicking ... it grows then you maintain don' t talk shit.
Project Khordi
How was I "talking shit"?
How many months in do I start shaping it
If your beard stops growing, just rub in some of Eric Bandholz` man sauce once a week.

+cha lumeau That makes 0 scientific sense my friend. hahaha
***** Yeh mate, well rounded diet; not protein heavy diet. Most vegetarian and vegan diets are well rounded. Plant foods provide you with adequate amounts of all macronutrients.
+All4mula im a vegetarian, my beard grows just fine
+Grazk your trophy is being engraved
beard Baron.
