Watched the whole video to look for a benefit of keeping the beard. Honestly I was ready for any answer, but there was none. I have 100 reasons to cut my beard. I feel cleaner, feels hygienic. And not just facial hair, lot of other hair at the private places. I feel much better without them than with them. Somethings did not go with evolution and I feel they will go with time. If you wanna keep a beard, keep it. If you don't, don't. Atleast do not give half baked arguments.

I stopped washing myself, cutting my beard and my nails, and also wearing clothes, all are very unnatural. You only do all of that because it doesn't feel painful enough. Now I am truly enlightened by my own natural smell. Going to the toilets is also very unnatural, so now I poo just where I am when I feel like it, sometimes it's right in the middle of someone's living room, and I tell them: you only poo on the toilets because it doesn't feel painful enough !

I usually like Sadhgurus messages and many things he says make sense, but I wholeheartedly disagree with this one. According to his logic, any modifications made to the body make no sense, this is not true though. Then why wear clothes? Why brush your teeth or clean yourself at all? I've always wanted a beard when I was younger. When I was 14 it started to grow in and at 17 it was already fully developed. Im 24 now and i only see a few other my age that can grow a good beard like me. I'm not even trying to boast. Very very grateful for it.

Having a beard saves time with shaving, but as someone with a 20 inch-long beard, take it from me: having a long beard does NOT save time. You constantly have to groom it and wash it. well, I love my beard! But I do disagree with the defined message of not cutting or modifying it.. Just like nails, other hair, teeth, and many other parts of our bodies need to be maintained. Also, fashion and hygiene do work together in some shapes or forms.. While my beard is currently sitting at a good 10 inches, I regularly trim and shape it, same with moustache, nails etc. While I definitely agree with the overall message that nature does have a purpose for everything and I also agree with the design of a beard, I don’t wanna look like him though 🤣🤣🤣 After all, we don’t live in caves anymore and personal hygiene shouldn’t look like we still do.. They gets dirty in order to not let your face get dirty. Since mouth and noses are a very big gate of entry for germs and bacterias. And talking about personal hygiene I would say, it's same with having long hairs on yo head then. I think if you wash it regularly there isn't a prob. Yeah, it's different when comes to nails bcz we always use them so it can difficult but it's not same with our mouth and nose (I mean u can still intake anything by mouth with a limited size of beard. Cleaning or removing is obviously a big part of hygiene but u should what you should clean and shouldn't. Well m not forcing you to have a big beard. M just discussing this matter. I think nature has given beard for men, because men used to work outdoors ( earlier days ) and the skin on the face is very soft, so to protect the skin texture , colour and beauty from ambient heat and cold outside, protecting the skin texture by natural means is making him to have beard. I think this is how all living things adopt themselves.

He is right, although cutting hair has it's own little benefits,but cutting just for fashion might not be very intelligible thing to do. We have to be conscious ourselves to realize the depth of such things.

To each their own. The reason I started growing a beard was to stop the acne on my chin. Again, this isn't the solution for all but for me. Secondly, when I reached the age of 33 I felt having a beard felt right, ever since then I've increased the length, and now I have a full beard that's approximately 7cm long. I enjoy having a beard, it also sets me apart from the crowd. Some people compliment me and others say it makes me look older, but that's ok, it their opinion and doesn’t change the fact I love having a beard.
I haven't cut my hair in years, it's because hair is an extension of your nervous system, it's also your natural beauty, and back when we lived in caves it was used for keeping us warm, it has a purpose.

Nature has not given neuron into hairs so that you can cut it without pain...if nature wanted you to keep then it would have given neuron into the hair just like it did with heart and brain...its upto you how you interpret.

I've always wanted a beard when I was younger. When I was 14 it started to grow in and at 17 it was already fully developed. Im 24 now and i only see a few other my age that can grow a good beard like me. I'm not even trying to boast. Very very grateful for it.

Well that's what beards are for, they act as filters and reduces infection around your face. They gets dirty in order to not let your face get dirty. Since mouth and noses are a very big gate of entry for germs and bacterias.
And talking about personal hygiene I would say, it's same with having long hairs on yo head then. I think if you wash it regularly there isn't a prob. Yeah, it's different when comes to nails bcz we always use them so it can difficult but it's not same with our mouth and nose (I mean u can still intake anything by mouth with a limited size of beard.

I think nature has given beard for men, because men used to work outdoors ( earlier days ) and the skin on the face is very soft, so to protect the skin texture , colour and beauty from ambient heat and cold outside, protecting the skin texture by natural means is making him to have beard. To each their own. The reason I started growing a beard was to stop the acne on my chin. Again, this isn't the solution for all but for me. Secondly, when I reached the age of 33 I felt having a beard felt right, ever since then I've increased the length, and now I have a full beard that's approximately 7cm long. I enjoy having a beard, it also sets me apart from the crowd. Some people compliment me and others say it makes me look older, but that's ok, it their opinion and doesn’t change the fact I love having a beard.
I haven't cut my hair in years, it's because hair is an extension of your nervous system, it's also your natural beauty, and back when we lived in caves it was used for keeping us warm, it has a purpose.
There was also a study done and they found it also helps to protect the face from cuts and blunt force trauma

We don't have any feeling in our hair because hair is meant to eventually fall off or break off.

I love Sadhguru - but people are different, even guru's. Buddha and Christ even. I would have shaved my husband's beard if he didn't. Some beards are softer than others so maybe that's ok. Some people's work requires a so called but mandatory, 'professional look - unless you are your own boss. Some form of 'grooming' for work is also just a part of 'life on earth' at the moment. I know 'life on earth' is rising, because of those rare ones like Sadhguru ~ for now, I'll have to keep the one extra blessing about a beard. Because maybe he no longer grinds them down by scourging for food in the dirt and rock. Nails grow same on four legged animals that use them. We have gotten to where we no longer grind our nails down by hunting for food.
Simple fact we cut our nails is if it broke while doing certain jobs...then it could be painful...in animal kingdom especially primates they cut their nails with their teeths... we have sophisticated tools for doing the same...
