I was clean shaven till I was 44 years old. I've had a full beard now for 2 full years and I LOVE IT!! I will never shave it! It really suits me and I love the feel of it and the way it makes me feel. I will die a bearded man now! Why I waited so many years to grow one is beyond me! I love growing it out and I could care less about others opinions... 99 percent love it on me. I appreciate your videos. You have some excellent advice that never occurred to me before! Keep those videos coming and thank you!!!
This video is great, some great advice. I'm 34 and for the first time I've made it past the 3 month period. I've been getting so many comments on how good the beard looks. Support from all my friends, hell even my parents. And it hasn't even been a yeard yet. Great video man. Believe in yourself!
The Beard Baron I'malmost at 3 month (I'm 22 btw), also been getting some good comments, but personally i dont think it looks good, becuase it is a thin beard and a little patchy (the mouth area mostly) should i let it grow more time or give up for a full beard and try other style?
I'm now 22 and growing out my beard. I have the genes for epic facial hair, so I figured I should embrace that. This video was pretty much on the money - positive and negative reactions can make and break a potential beard. I myself noticed that the moment I cleaned it up and made it look deliberate, comments started to improve drastically, and those positive comments are a huge confidence boost.
I'm growing my first beard and I'm about 6 months in. I've recently been receiving a lot of social beard hate from my immediate family of all people! Such intense beard hate I've been contemplating shaving it off. I discovered your videos and they have given me the confidence to keep going! Both me and my beard want to thank you for your videos!
Awesome video. I'm 2 days away from my first month of growing my very first beard. I've almost shaved it several times but this video seriously pumped me up to keep going. Thanks
I'm 23 and I grew a solid three month beard last summer. I had some patches on my checks and some baldness under my lower lip on either side of my soul patch, but I have great goatee and moustache genes. I'm excited to say that I'm doing no shave November and those patches have filled in. I'm going to try to grow a yeard. I'll probably fade my sides like you, but I really want to leave the moustache alone and try for an epic moustache. I wanted to thank you for making these great videos. They're a huge source of encouragement and information for young men like myself who are embarking on their first serious beard adventure. Thank you!
I grew two beards last summer. I started around six weeks before my summer break started. After nearly three months of total growth, I trimmed the whole beard down to stubble and immediately regretted it, so I didn't touch it for quite some time. It never got back to where it had been the first time. My checks were too patchy for me to put up with, so I shaved the sides and rocked a pretty massive goatee for awhile. I shaved for November so I could give it another go. It's looking much more promising this go round. I feel like my beard has reached the next level.
Growing my beard for the first time. Pretty excited and scared at the same time, specially the mustache. Is really weird, but I'm confident it's gonna improve. Subscribed!
Just grew my first beard. I wasn't too sure about it at first, but now after about two months, I gotta say I love it. I have no plans to shave it off at all; it's here to stay :-D
This is one of the first Beard Baron videos I watched. I had never grown my beard out past a month or two but after getting into these videos and the lifestyle it becomes infectious. It is such a fun hobby to develop. Now that I've been taking care of my beard and growing and used many products from oils and waxes to shampoos, I can say confidently that this guy has the best products out there. From quality to scent, it is spot on.
I have never had much luck with facial hair. It usually comes in patchy and in various shades of browns and reds as well as white due to a slight case of vitiligo. The few times I have attempted to grow out my beard/mustache I'd give up due to the very same self-conscious reasons as stated in this video. My wife recently broke her ankle when we were helping some family move. I am using this as an excuse/explanation for not shaving, as I'm telling people I am not going to shave until her foot is healed out of some kind of odd solidarity. I appreciate the advice given in this video. Hopefully I won't give in to social pressures and shave what little growth I have so far.
This is so true... So many of my beard fails has been due to other peoples opinions. Getting told it doesn't suit me, makes me look messy, makes me look older. But once you get past that month it does get easier. Once everyone is used to it then you can continue growing it in peace. :P
I'm 2 weeks in to my beard with an original goal of AT LEAST 2 months. I just stumbled across this video and have now set a goal of 4 months. I'll definitely be checking out your other videos for ideas, tips and suggestions. Thanks for posting!
this video is awesome man!! i started to grow my beard for the first time in november and after 5 weeks i shaved it off and i regreted that decision..now im 2 months into my beard again and its past that awkward state and every week it looks better and better...looking forward to have an epic beard in a couple of months, keep posting those great vids!!
Man you look majestic, i can't even imagine your face without a beard, thats what i like about beards, you go from a regular white soccerdad, to a majestic wizard.
I randomly stumbled across this video and I'm about 6 weeks into my beard. You just saved it's life. I was literally 15 minutes away from shaving it off lol
This has given me the confidence to just go for it. I have always had pretty good facial hair, so hopefully I can grow a strong beard. I get ginger whiskers on my chin, but I think they will darken as the beard develops. I am 2 weeks in and it feels like I have pubic hair on my face but I'm fully committed. Great video, cheers from Scotland Beard Baron.
I have had a beard the past half a year but i have been trimming it every week and it has never been long. After watching this I'm not going to trim for the whole summer, going to keep it in good shape and if I don't like it ill shave it. I guarantee I'm going to love it! This is actually exciting, thank you mr. beard baron for giving me the confidence to do it!
The Beard Baron inspired me to grow my beard for the first time. My first few weren’t that nice, and I didn’t properly trim them enough, if at all, but they were a starting point. Now, several years later, I am better at it, and my facial hair continues to improve. I am about three months in, and it is at a really nice stage now. Like the Baron says, it takes time to see your beard potential. It takes time to thicken out, so keep the edges neat, maybe keep it trimmed and extend the trimming length slowly so that it thickens with the length. And if you want to shave the whole thing off, trust me and rather just shave it short, but not all off. Then you can start a new one sometime with a solid head start in density. And of course, buy some products for your beard, preferably the Baron’s.
Just wanted to say thank you for your advice on beards. I am in my third week of growing my beard and your videos saved it from being shaved off. Thanks agin and keep the videos coming!
Second time I'm watching your video, I needed some words of encouragement. I was having a moment of weakness...I'm not going to kill my beard. Thanks, we want more videos! Keep up the great work and great product line!
Ive always wanted to grow out a beard but was pressured at work to be clean shaven. I switched jobs and am now 3 weeks unshaven! Ive 'liked' this video and will now go on to watch your other videos for hints and tips!
I've decided to grow out my beard. I'm about one month in but the thing is, All my hair is brown.. And my beard is red. It looks kind of strange and I've gotten some comments about it. Anyways, you've really encouraged me to wait and see what it will eventually look like. A full beard will hopefully look better than the one-month beard I have right now.
Ray Phinkle That's the best part of beards, each one has uniqueness to it. Mine grows in sort of matching my brown hair, but there's patches of red and auburn in it. I think the thing to remember is that not all of us can be a sterile uniform symmetrical product, the little nuances offer character.
***** agreed! In the end it may be beards that unify us, and cross racial barriers. I HAVE a dream that one day, men of all races, economic circumstances, and sizes will stand together in bearded harmony! Lol
Have been watching your videos for a while now and only just realised I wasn't subscribed to you! Subbed. I am 19 years old and is growing my second beard and I've just reached the 3 month mark. My cheeks are my weakest spot and it's filling in slowly but surely but from the front you can slightly see my jawline on the right side of my cheek. I am using your words to keep encouraging me to grow out a full beard (with tidy trimming to keep it plump) and aim for the 5 month goal to see if my cheeks gain length and fill in more. I am concious about it but I am using all my wit to keep going and try for the yeard.
Grant Wilson Thanks for subscribing Grant! The cheek area is usually the weakest area for most men. It's also one of the last areas to really develop. Best of luck of hitting your 5 month goal! Stay the course!
Thanks so much for the 'pick me up'. I really needed to hear this today. Self doubt was getting the better of me and you gave me the confidence to keep going. Definitely going to set some goals...fantastic idea! *** When the growing gets tough, the tough get growing! ***
I'm at two months and I just realized my potential. People are just now starting to give me negative comments, but it is only fueling my fire and desire
On day 42 of my first beard and I am very excited to see what kind of growth I'll have around 3-4 months. I really like your beard products, they help keep the itch away and they smell amazing!!
i hit 4 months last monday and its amazing. ive been blessed with a beard that grows in the rigth spots. got a full hefty chin coverage. i will change my profile picture to one where you can see it right.
Really, really, really well said! I went through all that with my beard, and shaved it off at about 7 weeks. Then, I instantly missed it! So now it's back. It's much easier now as all the comments have been gotten out of the way long ago!!!!!! I guess I have gotten used to it now and would feel naked without it.
Great F advice. I'm 21 but I grow rough facial hair in days. For me being so young I was never confident on just letting it grow. From this day on, I won't pick up a razor!
I started growing my beard as a new years resolution. Its patchy in places and my moustache doesn't seem to grow that well. Your right, I've never hung on in there and just let it go. I'm going to persevere and hopefully it will fill out more as time goes on. Great video man! Inspirational.
Hey Nick, thanks for watching! A lot of beards and moustaches start off patchy and a lot of the times different areas of the face grow faster than others. By just letting it go you'll get a real feel for what your beard is all about and then be able to make some wise decisions, best of luck!
Whenever my coworkers kept making fun of me when I first started growing a beard. To keep my confidence going I would tell them my trimmer is broken then everyone would just laugh it off. I did keep it groomed got to the point I could style it the way I want I am no part of the bearded society. Welcome everyone who wants to grow a beard keep your head high. You will get there.
Wow! I have a long way to go. just hit my 4 day mark lol. I feel really dirty looking. I'm 29 and this is my first time ever growing it out.... Thanks for the video. Very informative and thank you for the advice. Guess I'll go to a barber and ask him to clean it up because I have no idea how... Don't want to line it up all uneven
You're on the path to greatness Abel! Don't be afraid to speak up to the barber if he starts getting to aggressive with your beard and be very clear on what you want him to do. Once he lines it up you can then start maintaining it at home. It's great practice and you'll get better and better at it! All the best!
I'm only 17 and I've shaved twice. Hated it. I'm more self conscious with no hair rather than a thin bit of hair. I know I have to shave a few times but it took a couple months to grow back before I even saw any hair. I think I might wait to shave because its winter here in Canada and its quite cold, especially with the snow and the hair insulates. Love your videos and I subscribed.
I just saw your videos for the first time today. I had my clippers out about to shave everything off, AGAIN. Thanks for the confidence boost. My friends, family and some coworkers always bring me down about my beard and I always end up shaving before I see just how great it could be. I subscribed to your channel, I'm glad I can watch these videos to remind me of what I am going for. Thanks Boss!!
True words honorable sir. I would add something from my experience. Those comments from others are tricky part of beard journey. If your family members or close people starts intervene in your beard growth it could be quite the unpleasant experience. Once twice ok, but if thet tell you to shave a beard often, you could answer rudely or something and we dont want that probably. I lost my beard this way, but as my confidence boosted nobody is gonna make me shave it off it is a pretty personal matter. So good luck to all beardsmen on their journey.
+The Beard Baron what age did your beard start to thicken. furthermore what age were you when you achieved this beard that you have now. I have a beard and im 18, but its quite thin
I've got a 9-month old beard. The hair is around 4.5 inches long. I'm loving it, and my wife loves it too! I recently found your channel when searching on how to apply beard balm; it's good to know that I was applying it correctly, just not enough. Thanks for the videos!
i decided to grow out my beard this month of October. i have shaved so many times throughout the year, but now I'm really determined to let grow my beard for about four to five or so... this is actually my first time doing this , and thank you for your devise. I'm 22 and i live in Houston, Texas.
Bullshit. You have to give it a chance to grow out, if you're constantly shaving, new hair follicles never have a chance to grow. I had terribly patchy beard so I just bit the bullet and let it grow, now it's getting nice and thick with even coverage.
+Doug Anderson That is true. After two weeks without shaving i look the same like right after shaving. I have denser hair on my legs than on my face. Im still 19, so it may change, but in my family most of mans have quite weak and not really appealing facial hair :(
nope, are u live under the rocks all these years ? people now use minoxidil + biotin, my chinese fucked up genetics now can grow thick eyebrows and beards
I completely agree on the social dynamics aspect. People may throw shade and it will get into your head if you let it. This also applies when you're also growing a mustache for the first time. Everyone's hair is different.
What's funny to me is I'm more of the opposite. I'm more afraid to shave off my beard and deal with self conscious issues of being clean shaven. I've always had facial hair and people know that, so shaving it off is tough for me. Is it necessary to do so? I always trim but I've yet to completely shave down and start from scratch.
Not necessary to shave it off completely and start from scratch. You should do whatever makes you feel most confident going forward and allow the beard to develop from there.
Thanks man. I've been growing a patch on my chin for about a month because it's the most even part, but now I'm growing out the rest because of your inspiring video.
Great video, perfectly put. I've 'killed' my beard at the 3-4 week point so many times. A friend and I have decided to go for it, it's definitely good to have a 'beard buddy' for encouragement at those moments of weakness!
I grew my beard out last year into the first of this year. You give the best advice than anyone one I have listen to. YES, trim the parts of the beard that may look untidy. You are not only having pressure from others. (trust me there will be pressure!) Every time you look in the mirror you put pressure on yourself. Make a goal and stick to it. There is the magical moment that you will see yourself and say, "wow, I got a beard". Women can make lots of changes to look different. Men really don't have lots of options for change. Growing a beard is probably the biggest change we can make. So enjoy the ride!
Thank you for this video. I particularly liked that you took a look on the mental/social considerations around growing a beard. :) I'm looking forward to watch all your videos. Keep it up!
you are the man. Just subscribed and my beard growing confidence has increased very much i'm about 2 months in and on the way to greatness! keep up the good work!
About 19 years old and I can't even grow a mustache. There's always that little patch in the middle that doesn't feel like growing. The most I can grow is a very thin neck beard and a small thick tiny patch on my chin. Like I'm honestly worried I'll never be able to grow a beard. :(
I couldn't grow anything of worth until I was about 24-25 years old or so. Give it patience, bud. It'll take patience once you get there, too. It's worth every second.
Really it all just depends on genes in my opinion. I'm a couple weeks away from 13 and I see the mustache and a little bit of chin hair forming. All I know is that it'll take some time
Absolutely right. I have a client facing job and kept thinking about shaving off the growth in my first few weeks. Fully in to month 2 now and it's really taking shape. I'm a way off besting you though Baron!
Just subscribed! Watched your videos and your enthusiasm about beards is seriously infectious man! Great job! Been growing the beard for about one week but hoping to turn it into a work of art in the future!
Excellent advice here, especially about the social pressure and weak moments in the mirror. I'm 22 and on my second beard because of the whole social pressure thing. I'm almost 4 months in and still going strong, you learn to grow a thick skin to deal with people's negative comments. and on the plus side, the right kind of girls like them too ;)
Thanks Johnny. I was just having a real moment of weakness - I'm at just past week 4 on my first full beard and it's still very patchy with the hair just going off in every direction (almost like I went and stuck pubes to my face). This video really helped in getting me back on track! I'm going to grow it out a good few months before I make any drastic decisions!
I just received my Wildwood Mustache Wax and Bead Comb. The Wildwood smells amazing and I received the package faster than I thought I would. Thanks for everything.
Hey it's me again ;) I am nearly on Week 3 now and all my female coworkers smile at me now ;) Some are starting to flirt with me :D - Maybe it's just imagination, but 3 weeks before they just looked at me said hi and moved there way. Let's see how long it gets :D
I'm still in high school, and my school is extremely strict on facial hair so I have never ever ever have been able to get away with facial hair but i'm graduating in 1 month and entering college, but more importantly entering a bearded life. Thank you so much, for this video!!!
I was clean shaven till I was 44 years old. I've had a full beard now for 2 full years and I LOVE IT!! I will never shave it! It really suits me and I love the feel of it and the way it makes me feel. I will die a bearded man now! Why I waited so many years to grow one is beyond me! Great video man. Confidence in my 4 week old beard has grown 10 fold.
+wdunn06 Great to hear it!
It's been a rough start so far but I really do appreciate this video. Thanks man.
This video is great, some great advice.
I'm 34 and for the first time I've made it past the 3 month period. I've been getting so many comments on how good the beard looks. Support from all my friends, hell even my parents. And it hasn't even been a yeard yet.
Great video man. Believe in yourself!
DaemoniumCC Great to hear you're getting positive feedback! Enjoy your beard!
The Beard Baron I'malmost at 3 month (I'm 22 btw), also been getting some good comments, but personally i dont think it looks good, becuase it is a thin beard and a little patchy (the mouth area mostly) should i let it grow more time or give up for a full beard and try other style?
jorge herrera I'm not the Beard Baron but I would say let it grow out man, see what happens after about 6 months or so.
DaemoniumCC Cool man im going to try it and see, also one side grows a little bit faster than the other haha
jorge herrera Hahah I have the same problem, my right side grows a bit faster than the left. I have no idea why.
This guy is a real OG. I salute you, sir.
that is a really majestic beard you got there man.
You are really helping me out in growing my first beard and sticking to the goal! Thanks man!
+David Zack Glad I could help David! Enjoy your beard :)
I'm now 22 and growing out my beard. I have the genes for epic facial hair, so I figured I should embrace that.

I myself noticed that the moment I cleaned it up and made it look deliberate, comments started to improve drastically, and those positive comments are a huge confidence boost.
How's it going?
I'm on week 5 and never have had so much facial hair. Was going to shave but this has inspired to go longer. Thanks Baron!
Plebasaurus Glad I could provide you some inspiration! Keep it growing!
BEARD GLORY IS ON THE HORIZON FOR ME
2 weeks in.
Your thoughts inspire me to keep going. I'll post again after 3 months.
Let it GROW!!!!
Let it grow Jeewantha!!!

My beard is two month old officially today!! Still growing strong :) Videos have helped a lot. Thanks Beard Baron!!
Jon Bloor Congrats on the 2 months!
Your videos are awesome! I am into my second month of growth. Your videos are full of great tips. Thank you!
Just grew my first beard. I wasn't too sure about it at first, but now after about two months, I gotta say I love it. I have no plans to shave it off at all; it's here to stay :-D

I like the angle you're working of growing the beard as an act of solidarity :) Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll get where you want to go!
I have lived the struggle ! In an attempt to grow a Yeard (year beard) I axed it at 9 months ! due to so many comments. I am taking another go at it !
Hey your trip are very helpful and I'm starting to learn the new ways to make it look clean. Your the best man hope to see more videos keep it up.
Derrick E All the best Derrick!
I love this video. I subscribed, shared multiple times, and have watched it a few times. Thanks for the tips man.

Brian Stewart Glad I could help with some confidence Brian! Just stay the course!
I was half expecting you to say, "I've lost a lot of... friends!"
Thanks for the encouragement.
Haha, thanks for watching Marcos!

Just wanted to say thank you for your advice on beards. I am in my third week of growing my beard and your videos saved it from being shaved off. Thanks agin and keep the videos coming!
I'm 14 and my beard is really small but once its fully here its never off my face!
If that you in the photo, I wouldn't call it a beard, but early growth is a good sign of a very nice beard when you get older
You're 19 or 20 now..What's your beard looking like?
Second time I'm watching your video, I needed some words of encouragement. I was having a moment of weakness...I'm not going to kill my beard. Thanks, we want more videos! Keep up the great work and great product line!
Glad you found some encouragement Christian! I'll keep the videos coming!
My god you are like beard Jesus , everything I needed to know you supplied thank you.
Hahaha you're welcome Mr. Tavarez!
Hahahaha... "beard Jesus"
Ive always wanted to grow out a beard but was pressured at work to be clean shaven. I switched jobs and am now 3 weeks unshaven!
Ive 'liked' this video and will now go on to watch your other videos for hints and tips!
Apparent Overdose of Car Stuff! Thanks for watching and I'm glad you've got the chance to grow out your beard! Enjoy!

Anyways, you've really encouraged me to wait and see what it will eventually look like. A full beard will hopefully look better than the one-month beard I have right now.
Vincentiusify Getting past the first month or 2 is really important so you are well on your way!
I am an african american and i grow bright red hairs in my beard, i dont get why, but hey who cares, beard life is the only life i know lol
Ray Phinkle That's the best part of beards, each one has uniqueness to it. Mine grows in sort of matching my brown hair, but there's patches of red and auburn in it. I think the thing to remember is that not all of us can be a sterile uniform symmetrical product, the little nuances offer character.

I have the same problem but I'm from Ireland so it's sort of normal to get some red (or ginger) in your beard lol
so far it's already been a whole month since i have decided to grow my beard and thanks to your videos I have learned to live and love what I have.
Thank you for these tips!
I have the same problem too! the cheeks!!
I really like this guy! My new hero.
You've got the right attitude Yoyo Ma! You're going to do great!
Flawless response to any snide comment at your facial hair:
"Yeah, but I have a beard and you don't..."
Demonflesh spawn Like a boss
On day 42 of my first beard and I am very excited to see what kind of growth I'll have around 3-4 months. I really like your beard products, they help keep the itch away and they smell amazing!!
i am on 2 months a week and 5 days. (not on my profile picture)
and i cannot wait untill i get to the 4 month mark.
i hit 4 months last monday and its amazing. ive been blessed with a beard that grows in the rigth spots. got a full hefty chin coverage. i will change my profile picture to one where you can see it right.
sjors kamman I'm guessing you couldn't hack it
Really, really, really well said! I went through all that with my beard, and shaved it off at about 7 weeks. Then, I instantly missed it! So now it's back. It's much easier now as all the comments have been gotten out of the way long ago!!!!!! I guess I have gotten used to it now and would feel naked without it.
It's surprising how you miss your beard when it's gone, luckily it grows back :) Best of luck on your new beard!
The Beard Baron
Thanks mate.
Great F advice. I'm 21 but I grow rough facial hair in days. For me being so young I was never confident on just letting it grow. From this day on, I won't pick up a razor!
Angel Rayas You're on the path my friend!
Thanks for the tips, anyway, your beard is amazing sir...i wish my beard like yours..
Subbed off The epic beard/stache alone, dude!!! Awesome!!!
You will get there.
darkcwboy Great tip Cowboy! Love the attitude!
Hard to believe it's been already 6 years since this first vlog was posted, still enjoy binge watching all these classics.
Thank you Tony, they're still full of great information!
That beards manly as hell, congratulations
Thanks man!
Thanks dude- currently about four weeks in and it's a struggle fighting that urge to shave. This clip has seriously boosted my confidence!
A female friend once remarked that kissing a man without a beard is like eating an egg without salt :)
Good video I'm at 2 months and lined it up at 1 month. Thanks for the advice.
Thank you, Baron. Also, thank you for the reply.
Just the positivity that I needed. Thank you Sir.
You're welcome Dave, thanks for watching!
this video really helped
I'm only 17 and I've shaved twice. Hated it. I'm more self conscious with no hair rather than a thin bit of hair. I know I have to shave a few times but it took a couple months to grow back before I even saw any hair. I think I might wait to shave because its winter here in Canada and its quite cold, especially with the snow and the hair insulates. Love your videos and I subscribed.
Well, Julian Edelman didn't trim above his cheeks so I won't. Just did the sides of my neck and it makes a big difference.
Hey im 16 years old and have wanted to grow a beard for years! At the moment I have "peach fuzz". Should I shave? Or let it grow?
True words honorable sir. I would add something from my experience. Those comments from others are tricky part of beard journey. If your family members or close people starts intervene in your beard growth it could be quite the unpleasant experience. Once twice ok, but if thet tell you to shave a beard often, you could answer rudely or something and we dont want that probably. I lost my beard this way, but as my confidence boosted nobody is gonna make me shave it off it is a pretty personal matter. So good luck to all beardsmen on their journey.
six weeks in and still going strong!
+TheDock Keep it going!
+The Beard Baron what age did your beard start to thicken. furthermore what age were you when you achieved this beard that you have now. I have a beard and im 18, but its quite thin
Are you sure
thanks for the advices that really gave me the confidence to grow my bread
let it grow, LET IT GROOWWWWWWW
The hair never bothered me anyway
HAHA Love this!
I've got a 9-month old beard. The hair is around 4.5 inches long. I'm loving it, and my wife loves it too! I recently found your channel when searching on how to apply beard balm; it's good to know that I was applying it correctly, just not enough. Thanks for the videos!
You have a point
Good tips
i decided to grow out my beard this month of October. i have shaved so many times throughout the year, but now I'm really determined to let grow my beard for about four to five or so... this is actually my first time doing this , and thank you for your devise. I'm 22 and i live in Houston, Texas.
***** Best of luck on your first beard! Enjoy it!
Step 1: have good beard genetics
Step 2: see step 1
Right
Mine is so patchy even at a month! Trying beard oil and wash. My girlfriend hates my "beard"
Beard Baron is a nice dude...
Great video, perfectly put. I've 'killed' my beard at the 3-4 week point so many times. A friend and I have decided to go for it, it's definitely good to have a 'beard buddy' for encouragement at those moments of weakness!
Having a beard buddy is a fantastic idea! You'll do well!
Great advice, man! Thanks. \õ/
Jullyan Gomes Any time Jullyan!
I grew my beard out last year into the first of this year. You give the best advice than anyone one I have listen to. YES, trim the parts of the beard that may look untidy. You are not only having pressure from others. (trust me there will be pressure!)
Every time you look in the mirror you put pressure on yourself. Make a goal and stick to it. There is the magical moment that you will see yourself and say, "wow, I got a beard".
Women can make lots of changes to look different. Men really don't have lots of options for change. Growing a beard is probably the biggest change we can make. So enjoy the ride!
Mark Hoffman Words of wisdom Mark!
25,000th subscriber. I had to comment
Thank you for this video. I particularly liked that you took a look on the mental/social considerations around growing a beard. :) I'm looking forward to watch all your videos. Keep it up!
sstephan14 Thanks for watching Stephan!
Amazing beard man. Its kinda got that awesome Arab look.
you are the man. Just subscribed and my beard growing confidence has increased very much i'm about 2 months in and on the way to greatness! keep up the good work!
Hamz_Vape_Lyfe91 Cody CunninghamThank you for subscribing! Best of luck with your beard!
About 19 years old and I can't even grow a mustache. There's always that little patch in the middle that doesn't feel like growing. The most I can grow is a very thin neck beard and a small thick tiny patch on my chin. Like I'm honestly worried I'll never be able to grow a beard. :(
Hate you Nunu At 19 you're still young so it might just be a matter of time for you.
The Beard Baron I guess, it's just discouraging when I see people younger then me with more facial hair then I, ya know?
I couldn't grow anything of worth until I was about 24-25 years old or so. Give it patience, bud. It'll take patience once you get there, too. It's worth every second.
Really it all just depends on genes in my opinion. I'm a couple weeks away from 13 and I see the mustache and a little bit of chin hair forming. All I know is that it'll take some time
Getting a scum stache and growing a mustache are two very different things.
Absolutely right. I have a client facing job and kept thinking about shaving off the growth in my first few weeks. Fully in to month 2 now and it's really taking shape. I'm a way off besting you though Baron!
I have just started growing
Welcome to the club :)
Just subscribed! Watched your videos and your enthusiasm about beards is seriously infectious man! Great job! Been growing the beard for about one week but hoping to turn it into a work of art in the future!
Adam Smith Thank you for subscribing Adam!
Very manly beard! Growing one now. Wanna feel like a men from middle ages :D
Excellent advice here, especially about the social pressure and weak moments in the mirror. I'm 22 and on my second beard because of the whole social pressure thing. I'm almost 4 months in and still going strong, you learn to grow a thick skin to deal with people's negative comments. and on the plus side, the right kind of girls like them too ;)
Beards forever!
Stuart Baron Forever!
Oh yeah! Kill the non-bearded people!
You give me hope, Mr. Beard Baron. Made it to week 5 of growing a beard for the first time in my adult life. Gonna keep at it!
That is one cool looking beard
Thanks Johnny. I was just having a real moment of weakness - I'm at just past week 4 on my first full beard and it's still very patchy with the hair just going off in every direction (almost like I went and stuck pubes to my face). This video really helped in getting me back on track! I'm going to grow it out a good few months before I make any drastic decisions!
You're on the right path now! Best of luck with your beard and enjoy it!
chin and stash grow just fine, it's my damn cheeks that haven't filled out yet so it's going to be interesting
Get a gotee
I just received my Wildwood Mustache Wax and Bead Comb. The Wildwood smells amazing and I received the package faster than I thought I would. Thanks for everything.
Glad you're already enjoying it so fast! All the best!
Hey it's me again ;)
I am nearly on Week 3 now and all my female coworkers smile at me now ;)
Some are starting to flirt with me :D - Maybe it's just imagination, but 3 weeks before they just looked at me said hi and moved there way.
Let's see how long it gets :D
DoubblKeks Sounds like things are going well for you! Keep it up!
I'm letting it rip for the first time and I reckon your advice to ignore awkward questions is gold. Thanks!
"It's your face, it's your beard, it's your glory...so let it rip!" I'll take 2 shirts with that logo please.
I'm still in high school, and my school is extremely strict on facial hair so I have never ever ever have been able to get away with facial hair but i'm graduating in 1 month and entering college, but more importantly entering a bearded life. Thank you so much, for this video!!!
