Not sure if you can help me, I'm not a Sky customer but have inherited a very old Sky box and dish which works with my telephone connection. I can watch Channels 1-5 and random free channels using the Sky remote For nearly two days I'm getting a no satellite signal being received, I've lost BBC One and Two and 5 yet still have Channels 3 and 4 and have lost the free channels. I had the box unplugged overnight with no change Any suggestions? Thank you.

This is sorted now, we had a bad storm which I believe was the cause, but after a week they have come back 🙂

It's so difficult to find exactly what's happening, there's a continous noise coming from the decoder

Hi there Christopher 👋 I'm really sorry to read this. Your Sky box has a hard disk that makes a noise similar to that of a PC. It also has a temperature-controlled fan that may come on occasionally. The 2TB main sky q box has satellite signal as it’s connected to the dish, but one of the mini boxes says no satellite signal, even though the mini boxes don’t connect directly to the dish. What’s the problem?

Hi there 👋 The Sky Q light stays on when the box is in standby mode. When the box is switched off at the mains, the light will turn off.
