Great interview! Being born in 79 my first memories of hockey were watching Courtnall, Corson, Richer and Knuckles,

That thumbnail Russ is wearing a jersey with the colors on the collar the Canucks colors! So I thought they were going to talk about the 94 run to the finals. Then he’s talking about playing for the Habs, and I’m like that’s Geoff who played for the Canucks in 94!

Isn’t that a picture of Geoff Courtnall when he played for Vancouver in the thumbnail? lol

That trade was a steal. Just another notch on Serge Savard's belt . I remember seeing Courtnall driving a 65 of 66 Vette

Awsome interview fellas. I will never forget the breakway move that I recycled off of Russ at the Notre Dame Hounds Alumni game in Wilcox, Saskatchewannnn. I believe it was in 2004 or 2005. The move went like this : He skated in at a fairly slow pace, he let the puck slide very very slowly on its own towards the goalie's 5-hole ( so the goalie thought he would just casually stop it with his stick). As the puck got to the 5 hole, Russ reached over the goalies shoulder with his stick and just gently tapped on the butt end of the goalies knob, which results in the blade of the goalies stick at his 5-hole to lift for a split second, and the puck slowwwllyy slid in through the 5-hole into the net. LOL, unreal move that i still use to trick goalies to this day.

    Great show Nux.
Having said that, now GO OILERS!! 🤛 As a Bruins fan I will root against any team that beats them.
Now we go to Game 7! Anybody's game. Yes Florida is still the fav, but losing 3 in a row has to have you wondering if you're on that team. Did you lose confidence? Oilers 44/45 on penalty kills?? WTF 🫨 I guess the coach gets the credit but probably having Paul Coffey behind the bench doesn't hurt either.
