Tom's a great guy. I remember interviewing him at his home in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif. for our newspaper special edition. Great guy and we had a great talk that lasted a few hours. I only wish I could have written everything he told me. He was quite the practical joker too. Excellent player too for the Rangers and Kings. Saw him play live many times.
Used to love watching Tom play with the Bramalea Blues on Friday nights at Victoria Park Arena. They had a great team and Rick Hay was a great coach. I remember Tom and Steve Beasley talking to me after a few games, they were 15/16 year old kids but seemed like huge celebrities to me. I'd play minor hockey, Saturday mornings at Victoria Park Arena and dream of what it would be like playing Junior B with the Bramalea Blues. Those were some great memories and this is a great interview. I need to buy both guys books.
Solid Defensive player you could relax a bit when he was on the ice. Looked out for his teamates when they would get pushed around especially during the time they called my Rangers the Smurfs. Laidlaw laid down the LAW!!!
I get a kick out of any guy who made pro and says they had no talent. Played a ton of amateur hockey and only wished for one shift in the NHL. Not even close.

Would have been nice to listen to this without the constant burping, sucking of air and hiccups.
Is this a medical condition?
Gotta be.
He's talking quickly, that's why. Look up Aerophagia.
@@BillyAu either way, difficult to listen to..
Does Tom have a tick ? Or was it hiccups
