Suggestion- if you could mention about chicken/mushrooms at what time to add as chicken takes longer time to cook. For a beginner like me, all those details have to be in my mind before blowing off moms kitchen and eventually the thought of I can cook!

fry onion and tomatoes for few minutes and then add the masala and cook till the rawness from the masala goes away, then add your main ingredients that's chicken or mutton.

Is this masala only for one time use,as you have added water while grinding.What about making half kg Chicken Xacuti Dry masala,in a mixer and keep for use in bottle,to add only one tablespoon with coconut,garlic,green chillies and ginger.Can you then tell me how much of each spice would be required and while making dry masala do u add roasted coconut,garlic and ginger or can u add afterwards while grinding to prepare curry.Do you have to add cumin seeds also,have you forgotten to mention,Pls reply

You sure that was half a teaspoon of Black Peppercorn? Looks like you either have a very large or overfull ½ teaspoon measure because there were around 40 peppercorn. A regular ½ teaspoon measure holds a maximum of 26-28 peppercorn.

I had a grinding stone at my mom's place, cannot replace the flavours ground on a stone with that of a mixer.
