I mean it’s def just cause he likes Lego Star Wars more than the other brands, also he’s already got a really good upload schedule just doing Star Wars and it might suffer if he tries to do more. Just my two cents
Ask Mandr: We always beg for more prequel sets, but why does it feel Lego's selection of Original Trilogy sets are also kind of lacking nowadays? They're mostly just midi-scale, ucs, or buildable characters, and not the more traditional playsets. Sure, there's the occational Star Destroyer but most of the "regular" sets nowadays are either Prequel sets (which I'm not complaining about), or sets set in the Mandalorian/Ashoka era. I'm just wondering why this might be?
Sounds crazy, but maybe they didn’t sell well? 2015-2021 had a lot of episode 4 and 5 sets being remade. I think there was something like 2 each of the xwing, tie fighter, imperial shuttle, land speeder, and 3 snowspeeders in those 6 years.
Lego has been shifting hard into sets that appeal to adults because they can charge more by putting in more pieces (more detailed builds look better on display which is what adults want). Playsets tend to be less detailed and displayable thus being less appealing to adults. Plus there's the added con of playsets being desired by kids so kids are more likely to mess with and break a playset that an adult bought over the less-playable sets that adults tend to buy.
Thanks for putting the Skeleton Crew question at the end. I have to skip these videos sometimes when there’s a show going on because I don’t always have time to watch it that week and then you’ll get a question with a spoiler in it, so this was great cuz I was able to click off before the spoiler happened while still getting to watch the rest of the video
AskMandR - Do you think there is a point where we start getting similar minifigures in Star Wars sets for the set price as we do in say - Fortnite? Same with prints and recolors. The new technic sub had like 8 recolors to a baby blue or unique parts, and Blacktron cruiser has all printed pieces. Battlebus has like 9 figures all with custom moulds and prints for 99$ etc etc.
It's like lego is upping some prices, knowing they will be discounted the acceptable prices for them, but also knowing TONS will still buy at the higher price. Win win for them really.
AskMandR: Hey Ryan, after more than a decade of doing LEGO RUclips full-time, do you feel it’s changed the way you view or enjoy LEGO sets compared to if it were just a hobby? Has tying it to your career impacted your enthusiasm for the product in any way? Love the vids!
I feel like the glass cages around the legos are going to Negatively impact sales. I know me I’m not standing around 10 minutes to wait for an employee to hand me a set.
AskMandR: Do you think we will get any Rebels sets in the future? I know we got the ghost and other characters from the show in 2023 but that was for Ashoka so what ships, scenes and sets would you like to see for the future?
I just want to say, and I don't know you other than from what you post, and I don't know all the details of the "drama" between you and lego but it sucks that you're being mistreated. You are my favorite youtuber and I always get happy when I see you've posted something. I'm sorry that you have to deal with so much crap when you're just a honest fan. Keep up the work and remember that most of us appreciate you and your work.
AskMandR - Will you still be doing a review of the cancelled 2009 Malevolence midi scale set? And since the new indiana jones game came out, is there a chance we will see the entire indiana jones theme sets?
AskMandr: That story about you losing your monetization is crazy! Glad you got it back. You talking about moving stuff over to a new channel reminded me of the whole jangbricks situation and how he just started moving old reviews to his new channel, any thoughts on that? (sorry if you’ve already talked about this)
I do think that the reason that the Home One has sold less that the Acclamator, is because at least in my personal opinion, the Acclamator is a more iconic ship than the Home One, it's also cheaper than it in this instance, and in cases where you have to choose between the Home One, or the Acclamator (maybe even with another small set like a battlepack), I think most people will pick the latter.
Do Amazon says 600+ sold sets or is the jump 500+ and the next is 1k+? if its 500 gaps it could be that Home One has sold 900 and is not so far behind the other set?
AskMandR: when you set up minifigs and sets on your table for these videos do you ever knock them over. Those figs are right on the end of the table and making me nervous lol
Ryan: "Why are you the way that you are? Honestly, every time I try to do something fun or exciting, you make it not that way. I hate so much about the things that you choose to be." Lego: ...only the best is good enough..?
AskMandR - I found on the last day of the advent calendar that I had a second minikit bag inside the box, what is the odds of that and do you think it's common for a set like the advent calendar to have errors? A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
Great AskMandR, Ryan. One of the best in a long long time Anyway, my question: We have already seen how Lego put paper bags in some countries and stay with plastic in others, but I find another detail. Some of the sets that were announced on internet had their piece count in the box, and then don't got it when you buy it. But I've see a lot of boxes with that number when mine don't got it. Do you think that's depending of your country like the bags?
askmandr: how long did it take you to get 1000 subscribers and start making money off you tube, i just started a new channel and i'm trying to do it myself
That’s not really a real answer for The Acolyte sets though. We both know that Lego usually makes these sets to coincide with the release of the accompanying media. Lego had no way of knowing The Acolyte would be cancelled. It’s just strange because The Acolyte is the first piece of live action disney era Star Wars media to not get a set along with it, every single other TV show and movie had at least one.
Ask MandR: do you you think the early rumor for the Star Destroyer being a death star playset has any correlation with the rumored UCS Death Star coming this year? does that confirm it will have an interior and play functions?
Ask Mandr: Hey i have about 1800 dollars (I don't have to spend it all though) and i know first hand how good of an investment lego can be I'm thinking about buying an older sealed ucs set such as the imperial shuttle and would love to know if you have any sets you think would be a good idea to buy as an investment?
Checked the local clearance aisles very disappoined. Only 30% discount this year, only had the 4+ SW sets, and they dont have the DnD collections minifigs for sale.
AskMandR: Would you rather Lego remake old minifigures or make new minifigures for the 30th anniversary for Lego Star Wars? And what figures would you want to see?
Ask Mandr: With the rumored UT-AT, Clone Turbo Tank, and 327th Battle Pack, do you think we could be getting Order 66 Sets from multiple scenes? For Example you could have Aayla Secura, Commander Bly, and a couple of 327th troopers, and for the Turbo Tank you could have Yoda, Commander Gree, and a couple of 41st troopers! Love your Content!
AskMandR: regarding LAN and you getting reviews up earlier than them (which it is always amazing to see your review before any of the LAN members btw). Would you choose to get some sets earlier than anyone (reviewed) or get them with everyone, maybe later than someone found them somewhere on shelves. (Without considering LAN relations, just this choice).
Do you think we could ever see the CIS Munificent ship from The Clone Wars as a set? (Either midi or playscale etc). I feel like that's a top 5 ship they need to make at some point given their prominence
Ask mandrproductions: star trek is getting an enterprise according to leaks, due to its round shape do you think there is any chance we could see a Lucrehulk droid control ship at some point? Love you channel keep up the good work.
A 1000$ death star is defo gonna be a big bite😅 Even though I'm not planning on buying it, I'm excited to see what they do for the interior of it. For sure they'll have a ton of figs. *sigh* really wish the UCS venator had more than just 2 figs. This is so unfair and what's worse is that one of those figs (Rex) is in a smaller set. Sadly no perk to owning a UCS venator, but I love the ship and I love the Clone Wars☺️
Ask m&r what figures and builds would you like to see in the 327th star corps Battle pack and do you think you will be another clones versus Droids super Battle pack
Ask MandR - After looking at some other themes, why does it kind of feel like that Lego Star Wars is the ONLY theme that cheaps out on detail? From what I’ve seen of the Sonic and Minecraft themes, they have a lot of printed and dual-molded elements. I could be wrong due to not owning nearly as many sets of the aforementioned themes, but I can’t help that Lego is just cheap with the Star Wars theme because they KNOW they’ll sell regardless of how crappy some of the figs/models may be. Thoughts?
Ask M&R: if Lego is willing to make sets based on shooter games like Fortnite, does this open the doors for sets based on LoL, specifically the Netflix show Arcane??
The Home one looks like a GWP. It’s hard to put a scale on it looking at the box to justify its price. I think a lot of people are waiting for a sale on that one. I just got the Tantive after waiting for a good discount on it.
Ask MandR: this might be a little existential but do you ever picture an end to the line of Star Wars or Lego Star Wars? As all things come to an end( especially in regards to movies and television series) I was wondering when you pictures the end of the Star Wars franchise would be as sad as that is😅😅
Ask MandR: Would the only way we would ever get a Star Wars CMF line is for Hasbro to lose the Star Wars license. Similar to the Blue Brixx losing Star Trek?
Now you’ve got me curious about your rebuild the galaxy premiere video. Why do you say you may not ever post it? Is it just legal reasons or something else?
Ask M&R: given that so far all the prequel movie UCS sets are Attack of the Clones based, do you think we are more likely to get a TROS or TPA UCS set first (if ever XD)
Ask mandR: do you think the reason the Throne Room diorama retired early/we don’t have dioramas in 2025 was because we could potentially get an invisible hand themed one in the next year or two? (Since they’re somewhat reminiscent of each other)
AskMandR - I got back into Lego Star wars in 2022 (I used to be a fan between 2006 - 2015) and I acquired a reasonable collection, specifically in regards to mini-figures what is the best way to store them and make sure they don't crack? Currently I have a small army of just about over 100 clones and my CIS, rebel and imperial armies are anywhere from 30 - 80 mini-figures as well but I'm not sure if it's bad practice to keep them on display on baseplates with their weapons in hand or if I should just pack them away to make sure they last longer, does it make much of difference in your opinion?
Star Trek definitely has a large enough following to make it a full lineup. I won’t be surprised if the first set sells well that they do an entire line. I’d love to collect all the different ships.
I have a theory regarding prequels sets becoming more popular than OT. When I was a kid my Dad would buy me OT Lego because it was his favourite and what he grew up with. I think now that the people that grew up in the prequel/ clone wars era (most of us) are adults with incomes, the biggest spenders are prequel fans.
Where is the 2024 worst to first Lego Star Wars vid
Soon!

we also just get a lot less playsets nowadays which sucks personally
The problem is that lego is just making more and more adult sets and we feel like there are less sets. Bring back the playsets!
Because of Mandr bullying lego
That’s genuinely awful what you had to go through with the demonetization, no matter what happens I’m happy to support your channel!🐐
i’m not suprised that the home one isn’t selling great, i think it’s priced really badly, the acclimator has all printed parts and it’s a clone ship
It’s not an exclusive so it will be on sale soon. Unlike the super star destroyer which almost never has any money off
Haven't seen you in a while love to see you got a better setup, keep up the good work!
