I have this same system (1800kv) in my tracked TRX4. It's so smooth, so efficient, and so strong when you need it to be. And you get a built in BEC as well. All for $80! It is an outstanding value!
I think the HobbyWing Fusion 1800kv is the Best motor out there! I have 5 of them! One for each of my rigs! Absolutely unbeatable! This one looks to be a great motor also. Can't say enough about these fusions!!!
Just ordered the same motor/ESC for the same car after frying the stock motor, except I only have 2S batteries so far - nevertheless looking forward to seeing how it will crawl after upgrading. But this video is confirmation that it was a good decision to go with this model :)
It is interesting that when the original 1200 and 1800 Fusion came out, people thought it sucked. And then the 2300 pro came out and everyone though it was great. And now the 1200 and 1800 are out again, but now they are being well received. I personally have multiple original 1800kv fusions and think there have always been great. It does everything a revolver does without the extra complication of a specific revolver micro ESC and BEC to keep it quiet
I bought one of the original 1200kv when they first came out and it’s still running great. I was planning on the 2300 pro till these SE models came out and the 1800 has found its way into my Axial 6X6. As soon as Amain gets more of the 1800 in stock, both my Capras with 3 gear trans are getting those.
I had a 2300 fusion pro in a light rig since December and it’s just crapped out… I’ve had an 1800 fusion for longer in a heavier rig and it’s still goin strong.
If I had another crawler needing electronics, this would be a probable choice. Already have the Fusion Pro in the TRX4 I built for my stepdad, and the Spectrum Firma 2-in-1 (a Spectrum-branded HW Fusion Pro) in my VS4-10 Phoenix, both of which are outstanding.
Unlock that rear diff on climbs or digging turns makes big difference without the ring and pinion gear splits. -also if jumping crawlers is not your think there considerably slower on 2s. Great review!
Things like the windshield wipers & little spot lights add a nice touch. Hobbywings is awesome coming out with great affordable products & now & budget brushless motor Esc combo. The thing that I love is as a bonus you get a very clean easy install. I just installed the new Fusion Pro in my Enduro SE & it’s so clean now. But ya it just changed it & it was like night & day. I had it out one time with the stock motor/ esc & I had a chance to spend a lot of time with it today & I didn’t want to even switch RC’s but I gave it a rest. I had about 5 Crawlers with me I like to take a lot with me to switch them out & also compare performance just because it’s interesting.
I have a NIB SE that I am thinking about putting in my VS 410 portal build. These Fusion combos are awesome and even more awesome for the price point. Good to see not everything has went up in price.😀 I have 3 Fusion combos now.
I backordered an 1800 SE yesterday, hoping I get an SCX 10.3 Bronco for Christmas to put it in. Thanks for the driving footage. I was wondering about the punch.
i got the old fusion 1800kv in my TRX4 Sport, only downside is that its not forgiving on the drivetrain :D if you give it throtle it will try to give throttle until somehting breaks haha
How does this compare in your opinion to the 2300kv fusion pro? I’ve had great luck with all of my 2300kv setups and may have to give one of these a shot
I just installed one into my Capra yesterday and took it out to test today. It really improves the slow speed control with the stock gear ratio and downhilling is no longer impossible to control.
I had an Axe R2 3300 and at $230 folks with original Fusion combos for $150 had much better control. The new Fusion Pro is going to have a tough time justifying itself at $150 when you can get the same performance at $70
I wonder what a trx4 sport stock gearing would be like budget truck budget system I think I will try one after seeing this I seen these on China website I thought it was knock off but I guess not looks awesome for price
how did the drag brake work? I think that at minute 1:38, it fell back, I don't know if it was due to control or the engine did not have enough force to hold it
Hi Exocaged RC, what should I get for an upgrade to my TRX-4 Defender? The Fusion SE 1800kv or the Fusion Pro 2300kv? The Fusion SE is out of stock right now at Amain Hobbies so only the Fusion Pro is available. How do these 2 (Fusion SE and Fusion Pro) compare to the HW Axe 2300kv in my Gen 8 Axe? Thanks.
I have the 2300kv Fusion and I have been wondering what to put it in,I have just built a lcg with portal's but I have a hh magnum and a hw 1080esc in it which I am still not sure of it will be good for what I built.should I swap it out for the fusion instead .,I have a fusion 1800 in my gatekeeper and it's perfect for it as I have made that into an lcg.i am just not sure help
Hey all I have a scx10iii portals and stealth x trans I’m running the 1800kv se I am thinking of getting the fusion pro 2300kv Would this be a better move Cheers
How would this do in a trx4 2021 bronco? The gearing seems lower than your jeep but not sure. Also wouldn't the 1200kv be slower but offer more torque so wouldn't it work better with a truck with a 2 speed gearbox?
1200kv will be really slow but not really offer any more torque. In the crawlers it's not like you're comparing a 5.9 cummins to a 4 banger honda. Get the 1800kv and you'll be happy. I hope they offer a 2300kv se!
@@rc-daily I don't think HW will make a 2300kv SE it will cannibalize the sales of the Fusion Pro 2300kv that they have already. At Amain hobbies the 1200 and 1800kv SE are already out of stock or back ordered while the Fusion Pro 2300kv is available.
I see they have both 1200KV & 1800KV Fusion SEs. I neither trail truck nor bash my crawlers. Would the 1200KV offer even more low speed control/torque? I still have a 13T Crawlmaster Sport 550 on the shelf unopened; But Daaayum!

Hobbywing changing the crawling world again!!
I am glad I pre-ordered this for my phoenix build

Just put one of these in the FTX Gladius. Wow!! What a difference. That low down control is amazing

I have several fusions and haven’t had an issue with any of them. This is awesome because it performs great and has an amazing price point.
@@ExocagedRC Agreed, the price point will open it up to many other people. Heck it costs almost as much for a 1080 and 540/550 can brushed motor now

I might get my son this for his new build.
Such a good value! Thanks for the great review
iv been looking at these and definitly getting for my next build
I can’t wait for mine too get here going in the old trx4 sport first I’m running a 15t pinion gear. The stock on the spot is a 17t.

Awesome system!!! 😍😍
Thanks for the video, I just ordered one. Looking forward to using it!! Merry Christmas!!
hello, can u make tutorial video how to changing yikong/abshima motor?
You should do a 1800kv vs 1200kv
How does this compare in your opinion to the 2300kv fusion pro? I’ve had great luck with all of my 2300kv setups and may have to give one of these a shot
I just installed one into my Capra yesterday and took it out to test today. It really improves the slow speed control with the stock gear ratio and downhilling is no longer impossible to control.
how the hell did you fit that
I ordered one for my Capra too. Can’t wait. Stock esc is horrible. What tooth pinion are you running ? I’m going with 11.
@@christopherbouman160 How do you fit that huge combo in the short stock skid?
I’m still waiting for it. From what I’ve seen I will need to mutilate the skid. Or I will by the Vader skid
I’m gonna put one of these in my Cen F450
Good combo
Exciting news!
This wil be in my next injora lcg 🙂
Merry Christmas to you and your family, keep up the god video's 👌😃

No Punch adjustment, no 2300kv, weaker - Fusion Pro has its benefits. But most regular people should buy the Fusion Se, yes.
@@runnerbaba yep. Punch looks plenty good out of the box
Nice video broo...
May i know, please ...
1. Is it able with 3S 100c battery?
2. Is it strong enough for playing in full mud track (dig ini full body)
I wonder what a trx4 sport stock gearing would be like budget truck budget system I think I will try one after seeing this I seen these on China website I thought it was knock off but I guess not looks awesome for price

should I go with the Fusion SE 1800kv setup rather than the 1080 g2 and 13t Hobbywing? thanks.
already ordered! nice
Hi mate great video nice run like the music
Wonder how is this motor dealing with mud
I wish it would fit in the Vanquish VFD Twin.
That's pretty good
Can u test that motor in the superlite??
Thanks.
Besides being dumbed down doesnt seem to be much different from the original except maybe quieter?
not quieter. a bit shorter motorcan, no programm card included, black motorcan.
@@runnerbaba clearly. I meant performance wise. And maybe its just because mine is over 1 year old that the new one sounds quieter
Looking at this for my Capra....whatcha think, will it bolt right in??
Can you please run it in a Traxxas trx4 with 2 speed. I’m curious to see how it does in high gear
I have 2 of these in trx4s and I love them!
Do you know what’s the top speed with that motor just bought one it’s on its way
half the price of the first gen i paid 150 for the first gen one and love so i will be getting this one
My SE doesn't have a consistent speed at low torque if foc is enabled.
Please any solution?
Note: I've done the calibration too

is fusion se can completely submerge in the water? looking to see the waterproof test

Its 18 tooth pinion stock on this rebranded yikong
What pinion size are you using? for fusion SE on Yikong YK4102
Probably stock or up or down one tooth at most
Hey all I have a scx10iii portals and stealth x trans I’m running the 1800kv se
I am thinking of getting the fusion pro 2300kv
Would this be a better move
Cheers
The pro has a much better (lower rpm) startup than the se does.
Do you have an affiliate link for it before I grab one?
I wanna ask. Would the Rebelcon be worth having in the collection when I already have two SCX10.3?
Absolutely

@Flat-Out Juan I don't think they'll offer a 2300kv se either. I hope so but I doubt it.
What body is that?
I love these motors. I have never used 1200kv. Not sure why anyone would to be honest
It’s so slow idk why either.
Slow. Some people just like it slow. Many people use 2s lipos only.
@@runnerbaba with the 1800kv, you can gear down and have more torque
@@CraigThomas2070 not always is there an gear down option. And small pinion can make the car louder
How does it handle two speed transmission setups?
This is my question also. Does it give it a little more speed
I use fusion 1800Kv to. But why its to slow?
Crawling needs to be slow most of the time.
I see they have both 1200KV & 1800KV Fusion SEs. I neither trail truck nor bash my crawlers. Would the 1200KV offer even more low speed control/torque? I still have a 13T Crawlmaster Sport 550 on the shelf unopened; But Daaayum!
👍🏾
Do u thank it would work in a 10:2
Yep it sure would
👍👍
Hello, are this SE Version better than Pro ?
No, Pro is better: more Punch, more Power, some better adjustments. But for most people Fusion SE is more then enough.
@@runnerbaba ah okay, many thanks for your answer.
There is a $10 price difference between the 1200kv and 1800kv.
