I’m recognising in myself so many aspects of what you talk about. What’s worrying me now is that I’ve passed on these people pleasing traits to my now adult first born. I feel guilty about this.
@@deebee-ov8xc I hear you! It’s never too late to change how YOU show up and be the example to the people in your life. You can’t change your behavior from the past, but you can change your behavior from here going forward. Are you signed up for the 12 Days of StressMas Challenge? It will be 12 days of videos on small steps helping you break free of people pleasing and feeling guilty. 🥳
The "expectations" is valid. Expecting someone to be a certain way truly is not respecting "who they really are." I'm certainly guilty of that. Expecting someone to be a decent human being, and being disappointed repeatedly...... when I can just accept that is who they are. And respect their choice. But also to RUN AWAY LIKE HELL. LOL!!!!!
Wow, these are SO good! I resonate on many these…allowing others to determine my value…quitting the daily news to reclaim more presence…releasing expectations. Also…time to re-define selfishness! ❤❤ thank you
@@jennywaterswellness it’s a sneaky habit that we don’t even know we’re doing most of the time! You’re not alone! Do you notice it more around certain people or certain situations?
What is something you could quit that will bring you more happiness & peace?
Yes! It took my decades to stop apologizing but it changed me and my relationships for the better once I did!
@ThisisVirginiaKerr It's amazing how much impact eliminating this one word from our vocabulary can have!
