I have made your blackberry bars twice. Once for myself and then for a friend that had surgery. Delicious. I did reduce the flour a little and added a little chia seeds, flax meal and hemp hearts. I appreciate that you cook healthy, but not with weird ingredients, if you know what I mean.
Thank you for making healthy meals so doable for a family!
Honestly, the way I have found to clean leaks is to soak in a big bowl and let the grit settle to the bottom then gently lift the leaks out. Just rinsing them never seems to get them clean. The water from the soak then goes to water plants like herbs or my garden.
I love that idea! Thank you for sharing that.
Thank you for the muffin recipe! My kids are going to love them!! ❤
you need to google the trick to washing leeks. slice straight down the middle, and rinse. best leek trick ever!
They were all great and I will definitely be doing them. Ty! 😊
I love your videos and recipes. You have a calming approach.
I will definitely be trying these recipes, love your channel and website.
Thank you
Use the same sugar you normally use to make your own brown sugar. I use organic raw sugar bone char free and make my own brown sugar.
I want to start growing leeks too . I’ve never tried them, but this recipe looks amazing. A lot of my UK garden channels grow them , so definitely need to try❤️ beautifully done Elizabeth
Thanks for the recipes
I love your channel ❤
So sweet of you. Thank you!! 💛
You are so amazing, thank you for sharing such a healthy and wholesome lifestyle. Your videos are a great motivation to me. Love this channel 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Oh my gosh, my mouth was watering while you were cooking that shrimp and mushroom pasta. I'm definitely going to the store for those ingredients. Thanks for sharing all of these great recipes 😊
Excited to watch video Elizabeth
Thank you Cathy!!
I enjoy your videos so much - you explain things SO well as you're cooking and I find what you make to be so inspirational! One struggle that I have is that my kids would not eat most of the things I watch you prepare :( Shrimp, mushrooms, leeks, even soup in general. I feel so stuck in their eating patterns. If you ever have bandwidth or ideas to speak into this, I'd be so excited to hear more about your perspective and approach with picky eaters. All the best
I am making Leek soup tomorrow, I ❤️Your recipe. And will try the muffins this coming weekend!! Thank you Elizabeth 🤗
Hi Elizabeth-I absolutely adore your channel and have made tons of your recipes! I need to spend some time this week commenting on all the ones I’ve made! They have made me enjoy cooking for the first time since childhood and have given me a much better understanding for my body and healthy food. so grateful to have found your channel and look forward to continuing on your journey and making many more delicious meals and treats!
by the way, was looking at your quick links for staple kitchen items and i was hoping to find out what kind of spoons/utensils you use? I need a new set (my wood ones were pretty cheap) and truly trust your judgement!
Daily cooking for my family is really a joy more than a chore. 🩷
I couldn't agree more! 💛
The muffins would be a hit here too. Soup looked delicious and easy. Always looking for more things to make in my IP. Thanks🌷⚘️🌷
Will be making all three of these recipes, they look and sound SO tasty 🫶🏻
You’re the best! Hope you love them all ☺️💛
Delicious menu today!!
I’ll have to try that pasta.
I’m brand new to your channel but I just love your content. ❤️😊
Thank you so much! I'm very glad 💛
That pasta. Mushroom shrimp dish looks great
OMGoodness! I can almost taste that soup and especially the pasta shrimp dish! I’m trying to grow leeks this year. And shallots! I’m so excited about everything that is growing now but still need to get more started! I need the rain to slow down here because I can’t do much outside with all the rain we’re having and all the pollen! Great video Elizabeth! More goodies to try! ❤❤❤
The shrimp pasta is on repeat now!! So good. Your garden sounds fantastic! I'm jealous of your shallots haha.
@@healthyelizabeth They’re coming up…..I didn’t say they were shallots yet! LOL! I’m hoping my timing will be good to get at least a few! I’m so excited! My leeks are up too….I really hope this works! We shall see……❤️
I love your channel, you’re so comforting to watch! Great recipes💙
Everything looked delicious. But, the pasta, I will be cooking soon. Thank you for sharing.
I'm a new subscriber from India....just love your vlogs❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful videos of the nourishing meals you make for your family! I really like the style of your kitchen, too! I’m wondering where you got your ceramic blueberry strainer as well as your blue flowered electrical wall plates? Also, I’m curious where you were trained as a Holistic Nutritionist? Thank you for continuing to inspire us to create delicious, healthy meals.
Completely agree with you
Exellent video, as usual! Making the muffins and pasta this week. Can the muffins be done without the sourdough?
Thank you for sharing your healthy recipes. Where did you get your flour glass container?
Thank you so much! They are these: amzn.to/4aCkeYl holds a ton!
I so appreciate all your tips. How would you suggest the instructions for long fermenting the blueberry muffins?
You basically answered your own question, “long ferment.” Leave the batter in the fridge overnight.
Honest question. Why use the sourdough starter if you add flour then bake without fermenting it?
I loved the blueberry muffins and the leaks and potatoe soup. I like the idea of cooking shrimps with pasta and using that water to season the dish.
Hi Elizabeth, I love cooking fresh and healthy food for my family too, I'm doing the sourdough starter for the first time following your instructions. I threw away all the discarded starter when was time to feed it. Do you save the discarded ones for other recipes ? Do you keep in the fridge? Sorry, I'm a little confused.
Hi Elizabeth, will your printable recipe for the shrimp pasta be up on your website soon?
Um, I have some chickpea spaghetti, mushrooms, garlic, and herbs waiting to be used 😍 I think I’m going to try that seafood pasta for dinner tonight! Thank you for the inspiration!! I think I’ll be adding some raw heavy cream as well- we love our creamy sauces in our home 😅😅
Yesss! Raw cream is one of my favorite foods 😂👍🏼
@@healthyelizabeth wanted to come back and say that we made this last night and it was an incredible hit for everyone!! All 4 of my kids loved it and 3 of them got seconds 😆 thanks again!
This might be a dumb question but If you use raw sugar and molasses would it still be refined? I wasn’t sure if you meant just normal sugar and molasses? Thanks so much for all your knowledge! I enjoy your videos so much! 🤗
Love the pasta meal. Could I substitute cod or something other than shrimp? Would I still cook it the same way? Love all your videos ❤
You can definitely substitute! I would cook something like cod in the skillet with the mushrooms, then remove the fish, toss the pasta in the sauce and top with the cooked fish so it’s doesn’t fall apart in the pasta. Just an idea!
Alright, that's it- I'm moving in with you 😂 🤤
😂 Putting “open a cafe” on my to do list!!!
@@healthyelizabeth YASSSSSSSSSSSSS 🤤🤤🤤🧁🍲🥣🥗
I’d love a link for the bulk jars (the fennel was in one) thank you!! The pan you cooked the mushrooms in, is that Staub? I’ve bought numerous Staub pieces from your links❤
I love those jars! amzn.to/43DFtGZ The staub is the 11 inch traditional skillet, such a staple.
@@healthyelizabeth I love that I can find so many kitchen ideas from your vlogs! And I’ve made so many of your recipes! I’ve made accommodations for them to be GFDF and all have turned out 😋 yummy
I have noticed that you don't eat a lot of pasta. Is there a reason behind it?
I am learning and retraining myself to eat whole foods, more veggies. I would love to hear your ideas. I love your channel and have been watching old videos too
What if I do not have any sourdough starter for those amazing muffins?
What kind of pot are you cooking the pasta in? looks like some combo of frying pan/saucepan?
It's this one: amzn.to/3TFh1Au I love how it boils water in no time at all! My other pots that aren't this kind take 20 minutes to boil water 😂
Question: do you think Redmond Real Salt is any better or worse than Celtic salt?
I prefer Celtic due to its higher water content, easier to absorb. I do know that pink salts in general can give people headaches.
@@healthyelizabethoh wow I’ve never heard of pink salts giving headaches!! Is redmonds real salt considered a pink? I use it all the time and I struggle with headaches. Ty. Something to research.
That pasta and muffins look amazing ❤
Im kind of confused on what kind of oils are healthy to cook with. I looked into buying avocado oil, but it said its refined. Is that okay?
That’s a great question! Extra virgin olive oil is great for using raw or low temps and avocado oil is great for raw or high temps - just make sure it says “cold pressed” that means it’s unrefined and “raw” extracted. Coconut oil is also good if you like the taste 😋
@@healthyelizabeth thank you!!
I've been buying Aldi's avocado oil. Not sure it's cold pressed.
Where are your salt and pepper cellars from? They’re so cute!!
I love them too!! Adorable and practical 👌🏼 I’ll link! shopstyle.it/l/b6VNJ
Thank you so much!
