Mi piacerebbe la traduzione in italiano ⛄🌲😘
The fact that your 6 y.o. wants homemade soup in bread bowls for his birthday meal is a total credit to you, and to the way you and your husband are raising your children...a lot of kids that age would want greasy take-out! Thank you for your beautiful videos!
The one that you are partnering with for the video that you mentioned her channel please.
🎉
@@wendy3437 Her sister's channel that she mentioned is Our Oily House (essential oils).
Finally made my first sourdough bread loaf with my own starter I made from watching your channel. Couldn't believe my bread came out perfect. Now I make bread at least 3 days a week. Going to try making your bagels. I have the most beautiful bubbley starter. Your channel has helped me feed my family better quality food and I've saved so much money with not buying premade bread products. Also I made my kids sourdough chocolate chip pancakes and they were a huge hit!! Thanks for the inspiration and giving me the courage to know I can be a great homemaker 😊🙏
Sounds like you are doing great!
Please il need the recipe of the bread
❤🙌🏻
If you like pizza, her idea of using sourdough (discard) for pizza crust is a regular at our house.
This gives me so much confidence im currently going through her videos because I want to give the bread making a go! ☺️🤞🏼
You are just doing as the elders did. No food goes to waste! ❤
Your little baby is just so precious! Bless you and your family!
I love that you dont throw away their uneaten bread bowls, 😂. We try not to throw uneaten food away too. High quality organic ingredients are not cheap! So true. Most of my kids leftovers either go in the fridge for lunch the next day, become dog or chicken food and lastly compost bins. I try not to waste ANYTHING!
YUP! ❤
Agreed… my leftover bread usually goes into my dogs’ food… I scramble eggs for them and always add leftover carbs and protein.
That's one of the reasons we have pigs. I have 3 toddlers and there's a lot of leftover food, but I much better when it's going towards feeding the pigs. Along with the leftover milk from the goats and cows.
I loved to bake, or cook all my life. Unfortunately, I have become practically bedridden in the last few years and now I can’t do all the kitchen work I took for granted. This is where you & some other fantastic cooks & chefs come in. I get my cookery kicks vicariously, if you like. I have to say though, yours are absolutely my favourite, because you are so multi talented& we get to see aspects of your life besides your wonderful work with your beautiful home, children and your homestead. You are also the most calming person, it’s to your channels I always turn on a bad day, and you always make it better, thank you.
So sorry for your health struggles...I hope you see improvement soon. Thanks for following along!
Cardamom is my favorite! It will forever remind me of making Greek Easter bread with my Yia Yia (grandmother). ❤❤❤ If you can figure out how to make it with sourdough starter, I am all ears. Our family recipe has been taught over many generations. I am convinced at one time it used sourdough starter instead of fresh commercial yeast, but they never wrote the recipe down all those years. All the ladies in the family just get together every year and make it in huge batches. The little ones learn while the older ones coach. We carry the recipe in our hearts alongside all the memories of Easter bread days past. 🥰
How special!! Thanks for sharing with us...
There is a way that you can figure out a formulation to convert a commercial yeast to sourdough. Then you could share your own spin with your future generations.
All I can say is that you are incredible. My best friend came from a home of 9 children and her mom Janice was so much like you. ♥️
What a stunning child!!
I love that you found a use for the table scraps of bread. You put plenty of money and time into making them and you’re right to not want them wasted! By the end, any kid-tamination would be minimal. Great idea!
I’ve been using your stretch and fold sourdough recipe with the addition of cranberry and toasted walnuts for about 2 years now and it’s my family’s favorite as well!
Love to hear it!
I love the sneaky pinching of bacon by the sous chef.
I love that you repurposed the bread bowl leftovers !
Cardomom is amazing on snickerdoodles.
When ever you have a baby I feel like it the same as when my chickens would have chicks… like you see them a bit a first but as they get older they start popping out a little more and you get to see and know their little faces.
I really like to use cranberry walnut sourdough when i make grilled cheese. soo good, crunchy, sweet, savory!
I love it with Leftover Christmas turkey in a sandwich.
A few years ago I was in San Juan PR and the owner of a local restaurant asked if we would like some of his homemade tea with cream, he was from India, I reluctantly tried it, I’m more of a coffee drinker, omgosh it was DELICIOUS! I asked what kind of tea it was and he said it was a mix of cardamom and a couple other spices he brought from India, it was truly delicious! Now I mix a few spices like cinnamon, cardamom and ginger or nutmeg and make tea in the fall and winter and it’s not only good tasting but feels good for the soul 😊
Wonderful video!
The wonders of cardamom!
Merry Christmas to you ❤
Thank you for all the inspiration!!
Thanks for watching!
Those orange cardamom rolls look delicious 😋! Your home must smell heavenly.
They are!
Merry Christmas 🎄
Omg Those cookies 🥺🥺🥺❤❤❤
Everything you make looks delicious! I love how you have a calming affect on me when I'm watching your videos ❤
Loved this video Lisa. My friend lived in France for a few yrs, she said the French do not throw out or waste any food. The left over French baguettes are dipped into bowls of coffee the next morning!! Hope you had a wonderful time in New York with your family. Will you be sharing a video of your trip?? Blessings from Ireland ❤️ 🇮🇪 🙏
French woman here! When it comes to stale baguette, we make French toast with it. That’s what French toast was invented for. We call it « pain perdu » which is French for « Lost bread ». We make it instead of throwing away bread :)
Thank you so much for the good sound on here❤ thank you staff for the amazing job taking care of the littles❤❤🎉
Haha..there is no staff.
Blessings
Cardamom goes really great with blueberry

We started making your sugar cookies last year and they were a hit! I froze a double batch last year and we could keep eating them a while longer 😁 I've also been making the SD cinnamon rolls, so yummy. Thanks Lisa!
Looks delicious!
Enjoyable and comforting. Thank you. And Happy Holidays to you and yours.🎄
Baby looks wonderful 👶🏼
And Happy Anniversary…!!! 🥂
Thank you!
Hello Lisa! A delicious bun made with cardamom and eaten at this time of year (typically December 13, but anytime is good) is the Swedish “Lussekatter.” Not sure if you can make it with sourdough, but I would think that would be ok. The traditional Lussekatter are made with saffron, but cardamom is often either substituted or added. Thank you for the beautiful baking inspiration!
I made them this year with SD and they turned out great!
I used your sourdough gingerbread cookies recipe. I baked half yesterday and they turned out perfect❤ Thank you for all you share with us.
So glad!
amazing mama. good job 😊
Wishing you and your family a very blessed Christmas!!
Thank you!!
You can add whole cardamom into soups and into your water when you boil chicken or beef. It tastes amazing. We also add one or too whole cardamoms into our rice when we cook it and it makes rice so aromatic and adds amazing flavor to it. Add a little butter and salt yummmm
Cardamom goes really well with dates so like in a date cake or middle eastern date cookie called maamoul.
There are also these cardamom cookies called Klejah. I always love having them with Chai. Soooo yummy
Sounds great!
I’m all about not having any waste. I know what you mean thought. I feel the same way when I am collecting bones for bone broth lol.
Thank you lisa..i follow both you and your sister..and what Lovely..God loving gals you both are..Love all you put out..Merry Christmas...To you Luke and yours...God bless always

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!
Happy Anniversary, Lisa!
Lisa, may I ask you where you got your farm bell? A few years ago my farm bell got crushed by a tree limb falling in an ice storm. It was so cold it cracked into pieces. I haven’t seen that many bells 13:37 for sale any where and they are usually much smaller. Your bell looks like a good size, and loud enough to be heard around the yard .
One of my grandfathers brother'es names was Boon.
hey girl- such yummy food as always!!😀😉 Y'all have a wonderful Christmas🥰
We add 1-2 pods of crushed cardamom to rice pudding. This is in addition to a bit of dissolved saffron, lots of sugar and milk. Boiled rice soaked for 1 hour and drained. Reduce down the milk after rice is cooked to about half. Cardamom is a must have ingredient for this pudding. Top with peeled and shredded almonds and cashew nuts. Serve cold. North India. There are versions of this in most Indian states. we use a lot of cardamom in rice dishes and Indian puddings and traditional sweets.
Sounds delicious! Thanks so much for sharing.
I just made my sourdough walnut, crazin’ bread but i added some orange rind that i collected in the last few months and froze it. I took good spoon of it chopped it and added to the dough. Also my mim gave me some fancy rum vanilla sugar and let me tell ya this loaf disappeared so quickly ❤😂
Merry Christmas
Yummy!
Merry Christmas 🎄
Happy birthday🎂and Happy Anniversary❤ God bless!!❤❤xxoo
Wow superb ❤
Happy Wedding Anniversary!Love using cardamom when baking, it’s delicious!!!! Coffee with cardamom is pretty unforgettable, use it while brewing the coffee just gives it a great kick! Use it in tea too during the same brewing process and very often when baking ❤ as far as using too much or little all depends on the person
Some just like using a lot and others less
Sounds good!!
Cardamom used a lot in indian cooking
It is my favorite recipe ever! Use it two to three times a week every week! It’s the best ❤
You have beautiful children. You’re so creative and everything looks delicious all the time.
Thank you so much 🤗
Yeeaaaaaaaah. Finally 😊 by the way I like your hands. In my religion Go's sais that He likes those working hands.❤ be careful with copper cooking it reacts a lot with foods... cardamom is great with any meat and any sweets also.😊
Cardamom is almost as essential to the typical German "christmas flavor" as are cinnamon and cloves! Try heating up some apple or orange juice (cherry is even better, but unless you have had a chance to make it yourself in summer it´s hard to get) with a little bit of cardamom in it. As for cardamom in coffee, there used to be a Döner (=turkish-German streetfood) shop in my city that was run by an Egyptian. Which was great because many Turkish street-food shop owners pride themselves on not selling the "too oriental" Falafel, but this Egyptian man did offer it. Well, he also sold Egyptian coffee brands, and that´s where I learned that coffee with cardamom is very popular in Egypt. Always bought my coffee there until he closed the shop (apparently cardamom-coffee and falafel was not to everyone´s taste in that city, which really was a pity).
So interesting! Thank you for sharing!
Hi, thank you for sharing.
Thank you for such an inspiring and beautiful video ❤
Outstanding Video as Always
Patricia
Glad you enjoyed it
I say this all the time, but gosh how much I love your videos! I have an einkorn sourdough starter and have been making coffee cake, waffles, pancakes. But I am SO intimidated to try bread! Thank you sharing a glimpse into your home/kitchen!
You've got to give bread a try...you will learn more by doing it
I have my starter on day 6 it's looking really good can't wait to start making some recipes with it
You got this!
I wish you would show more of your family in a day in a life vlog,it's so special. Would love to see Victor and we miss Theo.
I absolutely love how you blend your creativity and homemaking. It's so inspiring and every video makes me excited to go try something new in my home.

The baby omgosh hes so cute growing fast
Just start watching and I already enjoy 😉😁
Thank you and bises from the french mom sourdough beginner 😘🙏
Coffee with Cardamome is a classic staple all over the middle east. With pasteries- cardamome marries very well with white chocolate and / or pistachios.
I'll just add that I absolutely love your channel and been following for years now. You remind me how beautiful, authentic and simple life can be. You're a source of inspiration. Thank you!
I really enjoy watching you videos so much. You are such an inspiration. Would you mind sharing where you got you large ceramic bowl that you were using in the video for dough?
It was a thrifting find
Merry Christmas from the middle of Nebraska! Happy Birthday to your son! How wonderful that you were able to travel to New York with your mom and sisters. I've been there once. Did you get to go to the Nutcracker? Thank you for sharing your recipes and great sugar cookie idea! Wishing all of your family a blessed Christmas!
You could also make a bread pudding with the left over bread from the bread bowls!
If you have not done it yet you really should try a cardamon latte. It is soooo good.
Actually that is what got this started....a cardamom latte in New York City!
Wow that looks so easy when you do it😂😂.
Merry Christmas to you and your family
I'm watching your video and eating dried cranberry and cardamom toast from bread I made yesterday 👍
Love that!
