I heard "Feminine mystique strikes again" in Alan's distinctive voice in my head and I have to say its cheered me a little. Thank you for sharing Kate.
I remember seeing that scene while they were filming. They were sitting on the grass like a picnic scene between takes. Emma, Alan, Kate and a few others were there too. Afterwards Kate playfully slap his hand and he smiled at her reaction.

Kate is an amazing actress indeed. So, no wonder she is capable off showing this huge range in emotions in real-life too, like here on stage appreciating Boyle and Rickman. Meaning, beyond the humor and wit, being able to move you.
Alan Rickman truly remains one of the finest actors of his generation in English cinema. It's no wonder to see Kate's genuine tearful reaction as a consequence. Rickman was a good human being in real-life too. A huge heart.
I find I'm still mesmerized by him when he's in a movie I'm watching. Sense and Sensibility is one of my favorites of so many favorites.

Alan was a wonderful man and I'm so glad she said something about him to that crowd. I was at TIFF 2014 where he stood beside her, grinning ear to ear, when she told the story of being scared of him at first. He'd be smiling at this too. This leaves me even more heartbroken about Alan, if that is possible.

I fell in love with Alan Rickman after watching Sense and Sensibility.. one reason was his voice that I think is one of the best voices in Hollywood.. the other reason was the scene in which Kate was very sick and he was in such a condition outside her room that he was feeling that he can do nothing for her and want to do something rather just standing helplessly.. he asks Emma that gives me something to do.. the way he said that fully describes his feeling.. finally, when he came back and Kate was recovered, the way he looked at her and then when she says him thanks the way his facial expressions changed is one of my most favorite scene in the movie.. I love how Kate is missing and remembering her in this clip.. their bond was great..

I fell in love with Alan when he was the sheriff of Nottingham. Then he played the villain again in Die Hard. Loved him as a villain or good guy. Miss him dearly.
I loved him in Truly Madly Deeply, I saw it years ago…. Then he was 3 very memorable bad guys and I realized how great he was! Sense & Sensibility sealed it for me, and he was so perfect in it!!
The fact he could also play a Spock-like character with all the actor’s-angst the character has - Icing!!

This lady is so sweet and genuine and she's a good actress. Alan's passing was unexpected and it caught me off guard. He was such a good actor and he'll be missed by many fan's. 😭
Likewise the passing of Chadwick Boseman caught you off guard as well. Either way, the fact Kate was willing to show real-life and genuine emotions here, when getting tearful on the news of Alan Rickman's passing, shows great strength. No wonder she was able to pull off Rose on Titanic.

Kate Winslet is an actress who gets better and better over time. She knows what films to do and she delivers all the time. She's so wickedly funny and just an incredible incredible actress. I just love her she's so naturally dramatic, it just flows right through her. Sometimes you know an actress is fantastic on screen and then you see them in an interview or something and they don't seem to have the energy you saw on the screen. Not so with our sweet Kate. All her creative emotions seem to be flowing out of her as if she cannot hide nor feign anything.

God, I have loved her since Heavenly Creatures, and I love her even more now. Her beauty combined with her shining personality -- just smashing. Seeing that spontaneous outpouring of emotion was beautiful, and she showed us that Mr. Rickman was a great actor and an even better man. I STILL haven't gotten over the loss of Bowie, and when Alan that same month died it just seemed like the stars would never shine the same way again. Thank you Kate for a beautiful tribute!!

I know its been 2-3 weeks since he's been placed in Gods heaven, but I still cry over him being gone. even heating his name just gets me so down. but he was I know just another human being and I didn't know him personally but growing up and watching his career I knew him sprititually and through his amazing work. Mr. Alan Rickman I love you and god rest your soul. You were loved and are loved by millions and more than you'll ever know. Always 😢☺
