Meet Matt, VP, Portfolio Manager for ETFs & Index Investments

Matt Silva started his career at West Point, followed by 5 years of active duty. This non-traditional route nonetheless led Matt, to our ETFs & Index Investments group, where he’s now a portfolio manager. BlackRock encourages these types of diverse career paths. Here, he remarks on BlackRock’s inclusive culture, and reflects upon the fact that to spark innovation, it’s crucial to have a diverse workforce. He feels his unique perspective is a distinct asset, allowing him to contribute innovative solutions to help the firm’s clients achieve their goals.
