This might very well be your best videos yet! Well done, Rob!
Powell's UNITED 93, is, IMO, one of those rare PERFECT SCORES. I cannot imagine the amount of pressure Powell was under to get this right. The responsibility TO get it right must have been a heavy burden to carry while writing the score. The fact the score didn't grab an Academy Award nomination is a travesty, but then again, that's the Academy for you. The final chord of "The End" is absolutely devastating. This score, much like John Williams' "Schindler's List," is in it's own category of greatness and is almost impossible to compare to anything else. It's that special. It's perfection.
I don't think I ever saw United 93.
As an American citizen, I want to sincerely thank you for your heartfelt comments! Your video was fantastic, you’re really getting the hang of this! I have never heard the score or seen the movie and I already feel like that. I have gotten the gist of both. Your music samples were spot on, especially the one where the child is vocalizing. You really could feel the emotion of that piece!
