I put my hub back on my tire and used the tire to have some kind of stability hammering them out and it saved me takin off tha rotor or needing any kind of vice....the rest of this video was a huge help thanks youngin!!
You realize these are off road vehicles right? Lmao. Oh no, don't scratch the underside with a cinder block where all the brush and mud and rocks scratch it to! Gotta be kidding me dude...
I am currently trying to take mine off When you remove the brakes did you put the wheel back on to give u leverage to pull it off because mine won't come off
I have a video for that one too. I used my slide hammer if I remember correctly, but you can also use a slide punch. Check out the video if you haven't already.
Using a hammer to install bearings is the worst tool for the job other than a boulder. Always use a press to install bearings to ensure they stay straight and you don't mess up the bearing surfaces.. Also, never hit the inner race like that. Hitting the inner race damages the balls on the inside. Useful tip: freeze your bearings and heat up your hub and they will probably slide right in.
+jordanf427 I did freeze them, mentioned that in the video I thought? Not everyone has a press, nor wants to take off the whole swingarm to press one in.
why didnt you start using that socked for the bearing, you screw them first up and than use a right way... and you could have better used the socked for the sealing... and a bearing replacement without grease is +10hp :D NEVER HIT THE CENTER RING of the bearing WITH A HAMMER :( like the big hammer. The moment you think that guy fucked up those bearing he starts smashing on the seal with a big hammer :D Ps. Nice howto
Set it on 2 pce of woos with a space in between so the berring isnt on flat solid area. N not damage the rotor ur rough in ur parts man not good for them

@ :29 sec, “Ow”. Hilarious - not that you hurt yourself, but just how nonchalant you said it. Thanks for vid
Brian Tanski I try, lol. Glad you liked the video, thanks for watching.
I love how much is wrong in the video but that it actually works. At the end of the day that’s all that matters.
I'll take that as a compliment. I make due with what I have...
Thanks for the vid bud!
Thanks for watching.
What is the torque specs for the castle nut?
What’s the part number for that Yamaha cinder block? 5LP-brkn-blk? That poor raptor

After watching this, I think I'll just let the shop do it. But thanks for the vid.

It was on the bike when I bought it, but I would guess there are probably some similar ones on ebay...

Are you talking about the hub itself? Because yes, that's exactly what I did at 1:40 in the video...

+jordanf427 Sorry, just realized it was the front bearing video. Anyway, not everyone has a press, myself included.
