  • How to replace front wheel bearings in under 5 minutes. In this video we will show you how to remove and install front wheel bearings quickly and easily. The ATV used in this video was a Yamaha Raptor 700 but the concept can be used for a variety of applications. Special thanks to my dad for making this video for The ATV World.

    5/8in bolt with about 3 inches of non-threaded with the threads cut off did it for me. Worked perfect!

    Great video! I may be over thinking this. But you're essentially using the cone spacer to punch out the two bearings? So, you need a bolt that is bigger than the opening on the smaller side?

    • @raptor700dad7
      @raptor700dad7 2 года назад +2

      Yes , 2 big to go in but small enough to go in big side , pop small one first then turn over for big bearing !

      thanks for the reply. update on this, I just used a small socket for the smaller bearing. I used one that was just bigger than the smaller bearing hole. you do end up using the cone spacer as the mechanism to knock the bearing out. and I was worried about the threads of the bolt notching into the spacer. there was no sign of damage on the cone spacer using the socket. hope this helps!

      I will have to ask him why size bolt, I’m not 100% sure.

      24mm or 15/16 bolt or use a 1/2 inch ratchet extension, Any will work fine!

    What about the spacer for the back

      Are you talking about the shaft between the 2 bearing?

    • @davidhollyfield9712

      @@TheATVWorldVideos I think they added a spacer I have a spacer on the shaft that the back bearing is against then the one in the middle also one on the outside bearing.. but my quad is a 660 idk if that makes a difference

    • @TheATVWorldVideos
      @TheATVWorldVideos  Год назад

      It being a 660 could be the difference since a lot was changed from the 660 to the 700.

    I used the old bearing to hammer in the new one but now the old ones too far in for anything to grip onto it to take it out 😅
