    Your raptor need to give it a good wash down and sometimes it's hard to get rid of hard mud if left it so long

    • @Hunters_Mechanics
      @Hunters_Mechanics  4 года назад

      I've posted another comment somewhere about it, since my jug had such a large crack I really didn't to wash it down hard with water and get water into the engine so I sprayed everything with brake clean to get rid of the loose particles, above all I did not get any dirt into the engine!

    I’m having a issue with my raptor 660 it’s a 01 and when you trying to start it it’s like gas is pouring out of the carb I was wonder what that could be like does it mean I need a new one or are floats sticking maybe?

    • @Hunters_Mechanics
      @Hunters_Mechanics  2 года назад

      Do you mean that it's giving the engine too much full when it starts or the overflow on the carbs is spitting full when it starts?

    My crank case ventilation hose was disconnected and I didn’t saw it. Can this cause a big leak of oil? My motor lose too much oil I just did a refill of oil and after like 6 hours running, I went to see my oil level and there wasn’t no oil. When I started disasembling my quad I saw this ventilation hose out with like some oil leak. And I also have a leak betweeen the 2 parts of the bottom end, could you give me your thoughts about this please ?

    • @Hunters_Mechanics
      @Hunters_Mechanics  3 года назад +1

      The ventalation hose should not have any oil go through it and if it does, it might mean you have something clogged somewhere (but I have no clue where). As for the 2 cases, the only way to fix that is to tear it down to the bottom end and redo the sealer. My cases leaked in the split a little bit so I always just made sure that I checked the oil before every single ride

      @@Hunters_Mechanics could you see the oil level dropping ? Mine is leaking and I am sure that the combination of the clogged hose and the case leaks is the problem

    What about the 2 hoses at the bottom, where do those to connect to?

    • @Hunters_Mechanics
      @Hunters_Mechanics  2 года назад

      If youre talking about the bowl hoses, they don't connect to anything, they are for if your carburetors bowls are too full they will throw out the extra fuel without flooding your engine/airbox. Just route them to the ground and out of the way of the suspension and the chain
