Wiis have some funny usage. Like I can say that as a young-ish person my parents/grandparents still swear by their Wiis sometimes. For example, my grandma loves playing Wii Sports Bowling with us any time we come over, and I guess it's just what she enjoys. So that's what we do, and we've done that as recently as oh IDK... I think it was early 2023

My grandparents used to play Wii (wii sports). That was the only video game they understood enough to play. You're right - the Wii was, and still is, very accessible to everyone.

I mean these consoles were already filthy from goodwill, laying them in the grass for 30 minutes didn't change much lol

They weren't there long, I had one of my employees labeling and boxing them up. In the texas load we had them laying all over a hot uhaul lol

@claudespeed277 the Texas load had a ton of accessories and junk which adds to the weight. There may be more consoles in this one
@timothywhite8130 true true, and also the fact that there's more variety this time too, heck even a wii u and some xbox 1s which obviously didn't make an appearance last load.
Just so you know, service dates on old model phat 360's is a GOOD sign. Microsoft replaced faulty GPU's on the old xenon/zephyrs with newer reliable ones when they came in for RRoD. Not to be confused with Gamestop refurbs... those stay away!

@@jrob0021Not sure you’ll see this but do you mod consoles too? (JTAG/RGH) I ended up RGH/LED modding my mw3 edition 360 slim after I moved out and life took over me playing games all the time

I would be surprised if you'd find a backwards compatible PS3 in that. It's still interesting seeing a Wii U.
Didn't count but I already wondered in the Texas Load why there are more Xbox consoles than Playstation ones.
backwards compatibility, you can throw any 360 game into the xbone but ps4 can't read ps3 discs so people keep their ps3
Kinda sad how many Wiis are being thrown away. They are still neat consoles, especially if you get a HDMI adapter.

@7:34 the Xbox 360 controller with the chewed off joysticks/analog sticks, probably someone's dog did that. I purchased a chewed up Xbox 360 Star Wars C3PO one from Mercari, I had to replace the joysticks. At first I wasn't going to re shell it but in the end I put an aftermarket shell on it.
Loved the Texas Load and loving the Hampton Haul so far. Really hoping to see some more in depth repairs this time round though with maybe some temp tests before and after application of thermal paste etc. And lets not forget rge clean outs of dust bunnies! Keep up the great work!
12:21 That “For Wii” sticker is from an aftermarket power brick which came with a GameStop refurbished unit, like the 360 Slims you were finding. Never seen that many out in the wild, the newer ones don’t have stickers at all.

I would love to do something like this. I love the idea of getting just a giant pile of consoles or computers to test and fix. Most I've ever done was buying four PS3 Slim 2501A models that were all tested and working. It was good deal but they all were wiped and just worked, so it was kind of boring. Ultimately decided to start experimenting with a couple of them. Tried to de-lid the CPU and GPU on one and killed it and tried case and fan mods on the other. Visually ruined the second one but dropped it's CPU and GPU temps 10 C so there's that. Now it just matches my completely stock Slim 3001A.
i wish i could do something like this too, i have actually no experience but i'd love to find a good lot of untested consoles and just fiddle with them, maybe even get a few working! the issue is that i just can't seem to find any lots in my country that have a decent amount of consoles and also at good prices :p

Goodwill and Savers pricing for consoles have been priced higher than ebay pricing where i live - they usually arent a good deal anymore
Goodwill prices are mad. Their prices would be fine if their consoles were tested and/or cleaned. But they sell things for ebay prices (or higher) and they're typically dirty and untested. Wild

A Jasper fat 360 is more reliable than any 360 slim. Slims have a lot of NAND corruption and APU reliability issues. On top of being harder to flash and mod.
I've always heard that jaspers are more reliable than slims, but in the 75+ 360 slims I've tested, I've literally only seen a major issue once (rrod). Any other issue was a disc drive issue. I've had a very similar experience with jaspers, except I've had tons more disc drive issues with jaspers than slims.

Do you still update your website?? You should fix these up and sell them. Its always good to see old consoles being sold around and allow people to experience there favourites again or to allow younger gamers to see how we use to play 😊

I guess I don't understand why Microsoft doesn't want me to see those 360's.
If I were microsoft, I wouldn't want people to see how many of my old consoles had just been dumped. People just stopped caring and basically threw their consoles away. It goes for sony and nintendo as well. Not sure there's a way around it, but thinking about it, it would be interesting if companies would start some sort of buy back/recycling program for their old consoles so people don't just throw them away or toss them to goodwill to be thrown in a giant box.
Honestly the 360 is one of the most reliable consoles ive ever owned if you don't count the OG one that rrod on me. I still have a fully working one that my best friend gave me after he graduated college in 2009 lol.

I got the disc to read by swapping out the laser assembly with one of my many junk 360's I've collected through the years....changed the thermal paste...its rock solid now...I'm waiting on 1n4148 diodes to do the rgh3 mod.... thanks for the great price[20$]! I watch every video and I follow on whatnot....Keep up the excellent content. Fan for life.
