Great video, I will definitely be looking at the FORScan to mess with settings (auto fold mirrors and seat belt warning for starters).
One tiny criticism....it's OBD, not ODB. On-board Diagnostics, not Ole Dirty Bastard. :)

I just wanted to thank you for this video. I bought the OBDLink MX you have and I went through this morning and changed all my settings with FORSCAN and my laptop. Super easy to make changes.

Thank you for this video - I will try this out as I have the software and spreadsheet. I mostly wanted to get rid of the double honk if you exit vehicle with keys in your pocket. It's a blood pressure relief now! Also did the bambi light thing. Love the bonus video of the Honda lmao. Cheers

I definitely need to get it . I’ve been going to the test screen and changing to GT theme it’s very nice . It changes back to original when key cycles though ..what a bummer . This would definitely make it to where I didn’t have to change it constantly, it would make the change permanent.
also would love to hear your thoughts on row 55 fake engine noise disable....I'm very interested in that. This was a GREAT post. Will be donating to the humane society next time at the store!

got my raptor in 3 days ago and I've already been messing with forscan. turned off fake engine noise. i think it sounds better. just gets rid of basically some low frequency rumble that didn't really sound very good to begin with.
i did that as well as
disabled double honk
secure idle enable
nav at any speed ( find this one on the super duty spreadsheet)
4 blinker clicks on the one touch turn signal
disabled auto start stop
disabled seat belt reminder
a few other things

Great video. I am in the process and have selected everything I would like to update and would like to get your feedback. 1. Global Windows Open/Close 2. Double Horn Honk disable 3. Bambi mode 4. Engine Temp and Trans temp show above gauges 5. Fake engine noise disable 6. (finally) Auto fold mirrors.
Question - 1. do I need to reset after each change or do it at the end when complete with all?
PS... Just got my Raptor and enjoying it with mods to come. I will be leaving the exhaust alone as I don't want to have to apologize to everyone :) Only spent 5 hours cleaning as the dealers doesn't have a clue and now I need to polish it before the clear bra.
Chad Jasmin hey man thx for watching! I'm mostly certain you can do all your changes at once and save. It's just going to save whatever values are in each field. just be sure to back up your default profile. I've had people message me looking for a default profile over the last year or so. I've actually installed another borla system on the truck with much better results. I'll have a vid of that coming in the near future. Just putting some miles on it before I give it the full seal of approval.
Look forward to that video as I didn't believe there was an option. Excited that their is a possiblity.
Thanks for putting this video out. When I bought my 2018 Raptor it was one off the lot 6 weeks ago. It had pretty much everything I would want, except the power fold mirrors. I know this question has been asked a few times on the forums but what isn't clear is what I would need to do this mod. I don't particularly care for the trailer side mirrors so power extension is not needed. My Raptor has the 801A package, with Technology package, 360 degree camera, the puddle lights, blind side detection and mirror spots. I'm guessing I would need the mirrors and switch and forscan to reprogram the modules, but will the harness installed I have contain the wires needed for power mirrors or would I need to either add the wires or need a new harness for both doors? Since I have the BLISS, I was able to find information that my modules are the ones that can be updated for power mirrors. I guess I'm asking if you might know about what I would need and if Forscan has the ability to add power fold mirrors? Personally, I feel like this should be plug in new mirrors and reprogram, but I'm guessing Ford left out the wires for power mirrors, because why not.
i THINK you're gonna need a different harness. I'm looking into it and im seeing talk of 8pin vs 22pin. Let me do some more digging and I'll get back to you.

That should do you if you have a 2017+. May work on older models as well. Can always back your settings up and try then restore them if it doesnt work. Thanks for watching! :D
Great Video. Are you aware of a way to remove the Gov/Speed Limiter on your Raptor?
not with forscan, no. any tuner you use probably will remove it. i'd advise looking into new tires if you plan on doing that though. the stock k02's arent really meant for speeds above the limiter and you could start losing chunks of tire and/or blowouts.

I never asked the dealership. I figure that kind of change will require one of their better trained/higher paid techs so it likely cost more to have the dealership do it (if theyll even do it at all). I figured I would just buy the adapter and tablet and make all the changes I want whenever I want :D

Question. Do you have to use the key fob or will the mirrors fold/unfold if you use the key codes on the door? And thanks for sharing.
just double checked, it works if you lock it from the door panel as well.

Very cool. Does this then enable a menu in Sync 3 that allows you to turn this on /off? or do you need to go back in and change the codes vis the same manner if you decide you don't want auto folding mirrors?
No menu. This is one of the reasons i stress making a backup so hard. You'll have ot go back in and manually change the settings back to their defaults.

First thing I'd try is updating the driver for your ELM. What ELM are you using? this forum post may help. forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5383

Big Guy Bigger Truck I wanted to disable the Auto start/stop, double horn when doors shut, take engine noise, auto folding mirrors(but not going to since I am not sure about the pin that needs to be modded). I did. I got my account last week and was added my the admins.
Does this only work when you use the key fob to lock/unlock or does it work with the button to lock on door handle and grasping handle to unlock?
Honestly dont remember. I would imagine it works either way.

Hey Sir, So I have followed all of your steps and I'm having one small hiccup. My Forscan is only reading HS. It isn't giving me an option to telling me to switch over to MS to read the rest of the modules. so far all I have been able to change is the double honk. Any ideas?
How are you able to auto fold mirrors? Don't you have to have mirrors with the power fold motor? It's not gonna auto fold on an xlt 302a package or any truck that doesn't have that feature already. Your truck had to already have the auto fold feature you just changed it to fold like the Lincoln correct? Also can you take the govenor off for the top speed with forscan? Thank you in advance
Correct, you would need to have existing or install power mirrors. Sorry, I thought that was implied. As far as the limiter, no, for scan cant tempve that but just about every tuner available can. If you do remove the limiter you may need to change the tires as the ko2's are not rated for speeds above 95 or so I think.
Have you seen an error with the ODB will not connect? I had to update software Net3.5 which was successful but still will not connect. No error code other than check. Verify Com Port (Plugged in a green and slow blue blinking), Verify scan tool connected to computer (Paired correctly) connected to the OBD2 Port (confirmed). I dont see the Auto Detect lite up.

I just purchased a used raptor that previous owner must have enabled auto folding mirrors via forscan. I don't really like the auto folding mirror can I disable the function by simply clicking restore?
if you have a backup of the original settings yes. if not you'll have to go here www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt. enter your vin and itll generate a as-built list of fetaures. then you'll have to go down the list and find the module address for folding mirrors.

^use this spread sheet to find the module that was changed.
then enter in the default values from the motorcraftservice.com link (think its 4 rows you'll have to change)

@@h2p766 i dont know if they'll reset 1 specific module but they can set the whole truck back to default for sure. may charge, may not. probably depends on your relationship with the dealership.

Hello again. I've somehow managed to remove quite a bit of factory options in the menu of the instrument cluster screen after doing a few FORscan mods. I can't reset my oil filter life (which I just found out after changing my oil) and a whole lot more without knowing it. I did the Bambi mod, disabled all seat belt warnings, GT Blue Theme and disabled auto start/stop. I did these at differing times and didn't notice anything go wrong until today. Looking through the manual, I'm missing a lot of items I could've messed with like wiper controls, lighting controls, lock controls and could've added and removed pages. Well all this is gone. Do you know what I can do to revert any of this?

Step 1 disassemble mirror
Step 2 find power wire for LED light
Step 3 cut and solder that wire connecting it with parking light power supply.
It's that easy
Or find a wiring diagram for your truck. Try to find a place where those two wires are close to each other and you shouldn't have to disassemble the mirror

66skate this feature is available in vehicle settings. I think it's called easy exit.

I want to do this to my truck but I'm not sure what to click on on the first screen, it's the screen that shows all the modules when you first start. So when i hook the obd2 device up to my laptop and plug it into my truck and all the module load on the screen what do i click on to get to the screen you are showing?

5. Heated & Cooled Seat Icons AND Heated Steering Wheel on home & climate screen

What's the difference between the Lincoln Style Auto Fold Mirrors and the Non Lincoln Style? Just picked up my 2018 Raptor in Leadfoot Gray w/802A package yesterday! WooHoo!
WHAT UP MY TWIN RAPTOR BRO! lol. the Lincoln style actually close when you lock the truck. Stock mirrors will not. They'll just sit there when you lock the door. You have to hit the fold in button to make them fold in.

I get that you need to push a button on the mirrors to get them to fold in on the stock setup but on the forscan spreadsheet right above the Lincoln style Auto folding mirrors is another entry for just Auto folding mirrors which I assume is some other way that they Auto fold or some different type of behavior that they exhibit when Auto folding. I was just wondering if you knew what it was.

incoln style will not unfold until you open and close the drivers door. You can open and close the passenger door and they won't unfold.

My brother and I got the OBD thing he has a windows laptop and the FORScan installed we tried to the videos out there but the ones that are on the video is not what is showing on our computer the numbers and letters are not the same.
So we got stuck and was afraid to change anything
We are doing this on a new 2018 f150 platinum. We are trying to make the mirrors fold,and the Bambi mod for the lights but it is hard for us to follow along with you sorry we are so dumb it would help if you could make a new video

What type of USB device are you using and is it formatted in FAT or NTFS? I'll go find a thumb drive and try this myself and see if I get an error.

here's a link to the tutorial on getting started. make sure you get the windows beta version (not the Wine version) and not the adroid/ios lite version. I'll add this link to the description.

if you didnt save your profile before you started making changes you'll probably have to go to the dealership. or check the forscan forums and see if anyone can help you with the default values for whatever fields you changed.

I believe you can. These would be the fields to modify on a 2015-2018.
BCM 726-48-02 x0xx xxxx xxxx (Disables Auto Start/Stop)
FCIM 7A7-01-01 xxxx x0xx xxxx (optional - disables switch - the button to turn off)
IPC 720-01-01 xxxx 1xxx xxxx (optional - disables stop/start message center in the trip/fuel IPC menu)
the 0's and the 1 in this particular set would be the ONLY frields you will modify in those 3 settings.
but make sure to back up your settings before you start changing anything. i cant stress that enough.

you'll need an android tablet or windows laptop and an obd adapter. then follow the spreadsheet for the proper fields to modify.

Nah. Worst case scenario you mess up a setting in forscan and the dealership charges you whatever they charge you to reset your settings. (which is why you back up your profile before you touch anything)
