One of Bob's greatest musical gifts is his incomparable ability to pay tribute to his friends. Notice how straight he plays these Dead songs, how straight he played "Something" in tribute to George and "Learning to Fly" for Tom Petty, you can tell how much these guys meant to him by this refusal to "Dylan-ify" their songs. They would all be moved beyond words to see how much of a mark they left on the greatest songwriter who's ever lived.
On of Hunter-Garcia's best, and Bob's vocals and arrangement are coming into focus as he continues playing it. Really nice. He's still gotta a little work on the bridge, though. It's a BRIDGE.
This is beautiful! Bob is just living this filled with deep emotion! 🌹Thank you firsty you are amazing! 🙌
