I would say yes because I'm a Sony fanboy but Mario has so many good titles like Super Mario World, Mario 64, Mario Galaxy and Odyssey. I mean Crash was never an open world adventure but Mario did that part so good. Mario and Crash both cherish a spot in my heart, although I never grew up with the N64 because at the time I chose the PlayStation over a N64 even when there weren't many games for it and the console was brand new at the time, it was a risk for me to choose that console over a Nintendo one because we all know how all consoles at the time failed to capture the quality of Nintendo. But damn, best decision I've ever made, I actually got a N64 like a decade after that and tbh I didn't miss much, most games are clones of Mario 64 like Banjo-Kazooie and Conker's Bad Fur Day. Butthe PlayStation has so many different type of games which Nintendo really didn't have at the time.

This game was the highlight of my Christmas the year I got it. My parents bundled it with Spyro 2 after they had gotten me Crash 3 Warped and Spyro the Dragon for my Birthday the year prior. :3
I'm hoping the only thing they do with the 2019 remastered version is update the graphics.Leave the weapons, track & AI difficulty, music, characters, sound effects, and game modes alone. THEY ARE ALL PERFECT.
If you do own a PSX, PS2 or PS3 you can get it quite cheaply on amazon or ebay. If not, I can recoment the PCSX Emulator. It atually pushes the graphics so everything looks smoother.

My favourite track was for some reason,polar pass. I don't know why, but i loved its music and graphics.
I always loved sewer speedway, I could re-lap the AI on a 5 lap race. My sister and I spent so much time figuring out all the shortcuts.
