@@elbowgang9715 you’re hip to the game then my brother. These dudes are on a different level here. I grew up with wolf in the gym and KG is like a mythical figure. We look at him as a lowkey tourist but still love him nonetheless lol. I never got to see Ronnie fields before his accident but his name will live forever.
As a Farragut Basketball Alumni, I must say that I was in tears during this whole interview. Sooo proud, grateful, and happy to see the all three of these guys together again and for Coach Wolf to get his “just do acknowledgments” as a great Coach, and mentor. Love you guys.🥹🎉👏🏾✌🏾❤️✊🏾😇

This is legendary! This video brought back the excitement and love I had for my era of basketball. From playing in the red west, playing OUTSIDE in the park, going to the south side and whooping the boys at Hayes park. Chicago has some of the best basketball players ever.
Man! I am lost for words. So good to see wolf and his boys back together! Wolf is an amazing person man! he took care of so many players. I just wanna take the time out to say thank you to Kevin Garnett and Ronnie Fields for all that you two have Did for Farragut. We appreciate y’all! I had a great time playing for Farragut.
OMG!! I Was just about to graduate 8th grade when I heard about Kevin Garnett and Ronnie Fields and this is when it clicked for me.. I got an opportunity to see them play Carver at the UIC when they had Marcel O'neal RIP and man I was like man I got to get my stuff together. These guys made me so proud to be from Chicago, I mean MJ and Scottie were the kings but Ronnie and KG was right there. This right here had me in tears and also brung back so many memories, Thanks fellas and appreciate the love you showed to Wolf as well! I had the opportunity to play on the UIC Court in 1998 as a member of Chicago Vocational high school and I also qualified to participate downstate peoria in the slam dunk contest, just wanting to emulate what these two brothers were doing! Salute!!
Shout to the guys and Coach Wolf! We played Farragut ,King and Peoria Manual every season for Thanksgiving Tournament. Our 1st game of my senior season was vs KG and the squad. Standing room only! Respect 4 ever!
First time a guy jump over a guy and dunked...it was Ronnie Fields. Well before Vince Carter. The guy stood there to take a charge, Ronnie Jumped over him dunk hard and kept it moving. IT WAS CRAZY.
Bro, I’m from the south side of Chicago I was in seventh grade when KG transfers to Farragut, that year was crazy. I was able to go to three of their games. That was some of the best high school basketball I’ve ever seen and I really think people don’t understand how good Ronnie was if it wasn’t for the accident he suffered his senior year he would’ve went straight to the league out of high school salute fam

KG is one player that inspired me when I was mad young. For me he was me as a kid. Full of emotion and willing to pour myself into my passion. Thanks KG for that man.
These dudes were legendary in Chicago. Hard to believe they got beat downstate in 95…then you look at that Thornton roster that beat em. Melvin Ely (NBA), Tai Streets(NFL), Antwan Randle EL(NFl), and Napoleon Harris(NFL). Insane!!! And Farragut had Michael Wright on their team too. Never seen so much talent on a high school court.
I was there when KG first came they came down to Champaign and played at my lil brother school Parkland where he played juco and they put on a show Gratitude and Respect to Wolfe and the crew
It feels to see these fellas talking on the big screen. I played against these dudes in high school. My players don’t believe it when I tell them about these two and they also don’t understand why my intensity is always on 10.. because when we were growing up, it was a different hunger and drive for us! They wouldn’t remember me..but I surely remember them! Much love KG & Ronnie!
They dont make them like KG anymore….not that anyone else is like him! A true competitor. Jordan, Kobe and KG are in a league above most…..with or without rings real champions
I love this episode! I didn't see those guys in Chicago, but I did see them when they came to St. Louis twice, one for the Shootout when they played one of our better local teams (I want to say Vashon) and the other for the Mickey D game. They earned all the hype that they got. My funny story about the Mc Donalds game is that I was so busy watching Garnett and Fields, I didn't know God and Vince Carter was in that game also...LOL. KG had me dying talking about "East Saint"...LOL
First heard about this duo in SLAM Magazine back when I was in high school... still can't forget in SLAM they announced Ronnie was in a bad car accident... I was so sad... watch KG play as a rookie straight outta high school was so hyped anticipating to see Ronnie in the league before the whole accident news...

I played with Ronnie during pick-up games at International Village in Lombard. Ronnie was 16 or so. He was a legitimate NBA athlete at that age. Maybe 6'2" in shoes, but exceptionally gifted. Sadly, those around Ronnie were not what he needed. Recall that Ronnie broke his neck in the infamous car accident. I don't think it was his car. It is amazing that Ronnie was able to play at the CBA level (where he did well) after that injury. And then the sexual assault charges. Ronnie is one of the ultimate "could have been" cases in Chicago basketball history. Ben Wilson is the other. If he had stayed healthy, Ronnie would have been drafted into the NBA in 1996. His ball handling and shooting were not great for an NBA prospect. So he was not like Allen Iverson or even Steve Francis. But Ronnie could have provided some Harold Miner-type moments while making NBA money. I hope Ronnie is doing well today. He came from a very tough part of the city. The odds were stacked against him. Let's hope that Kevin is sharing some of his billion dollars with Ronnie.

All basketball players knew me. Because they knew I admire them.
Until KG turned his back on RONNIE..

KG if anybody could it its u man these kids need ur help CHICAGO NEED UR HELP
My grandma loved y'all Romera Hernandez, always talked about u guys....

Thats y i always said i like how KG yells lord every chance he get but has no idea wat the chi is like 😂😂😂 only when its convenient huh KG 😂😂😂
If Ronnie didn’t have that car accident he would have been massive in the NBA

Kg and Ronnie Fields was no joke in high school
