Mick is actually is a lot better than he has made himself out to be. His songs in Motley are normally riffs that Nikki made, and Mick just plays them. Even his extended solos at their live shows are basically Mick just throwing stuff together to keep the crowd entertained. However, his other stuff, like Bittersuite, and about everything else he's done outside of Crue is very impressive. Hell, even his song with the Murderdolls upstaged any song he's ever played in Motley.
I highly doubt Nikki made the riffs , the way Mick was playing them from the early records . Nikki wouldn't have even known how to play riffs like Live Wire , how Mick was performing them on guitar .

i remember when the crűe reunited for the first time. they couldnt even locate bob.. they litterly had to rescue him from deaths door& the doctors had him doing so many oxys,that they didnt know if he was gona be able to bounce back.. ive seen the crűe like 4 times since then & it just gets better evry time...

Yah Mick plays in a "D" tuning on the guitar. That's what make his Strat sound so good. That tuning with a strat guitar are a perfect combination. Zakk plays the same tuning. Go figure !
