if he is famous there must be a reason. To be good you don't necessarily have to know how to strum, he is famous because he is talented at playing the guitar the way HE WANTS. If knowing how to strum is necessary for you to be good, then learn it yourself if you really need it.@@orchestraglobola
Stop BS. There are plenty of stellar guitarists in Italy, simply Thomas Raggi is not one of them. He's just an Xfactor cheesy product and he barely plays. Pretty face and no skills. Se dovessi rosicare (cosa che non mi appartiene) punterei più in alto, non posso provare invidia per uno che suona come un adolescente alle prime armi. Gli auguro tutto il bene del mondo come persona e spero che impari a suonare da gente come Matteo Mancuso.
Hell of a player. One of the few modern day guitar players on the radio that actually plays something interesting.

Thomas is a better musician than it seems, it’s the soul of the maneskin concerts, he takes out really interesting sounds from his guitar and jams along in many songs. He’s awesome

I respect that this guy is just a normal player for the most part. Songwriting is key, and Maneskin has good songs. Don't need guitar-god solos if you have a catchy tune.
They also do have guitar god solos live though - if you haven’t seen it check his solo before the loneliest live. It’s spectacular.
One of the things I like is that he uses his guitar to enhance the song. Meaning if they add a guitar solo it's not there to show off, but because it serves the song as a whole.
If you go in a shop and play a guitar with thick 0.10 strings and a rubbish amp with no overdrive, all you can do is a few simple pentatonic licks, and sweat like a pig. Nobody is a virtuoso without his own guitar and amp. If I don't play 0.9 strings and a cranked plexi I am like a fish out of water.
Lmao gimme a break bro... First off, .010s aren't thick, they are standard. 0.09's are light. Second, a truly great player can play great on anything. I'm giving this guy a compliment and you're like weirdly defending him? But since you said it, there's many, MANY players that go into any random Guitarcenter and sound better than this dude on any old guitar and amp. Ask them to write a song though, and they struggle. That's this guy's strength. But he's not a great guitarist. Don't justify his mediocre playing with his gear. If he was a great guitarist, his playing would simply be great. Nice work by (the young) Mr. Raggi and Mr. Lemmo. Given his stellar development over the last few years, it will be amazing to see and hear Thomas' evolution over time. He is already a rock star at 22. Great things yet to come for Mr. Raggi and Maneskin. Avanti, Thomas!!

@@yourDeath86 I'm 46, seen a lot of guitar players, and rock bands, few of them have the skills, the stage presence, and charisma that Thomas has, especially at as early an age as Thomas, (the kid is only 23 after all, and above all, the boy has the modesty to know he still has a lot to learn, which is something a lot of other guitar players lack.)

@@yourDeath86 no. I actually have pretty high standards, and very very few rockbands in the past twenty years have lived up to them. Måneskin is one of the very rare rockbands that are consistently good enough for me to considder myself a fan of theirs.
I love how Thomas always seems to enjoy playing, like who is truly living the dream, and how he absolutely feels the music. He makes me feel it as well.
This is beautiful! Thomas is such a great songwriter and very soulfull guitar player, I'm glad that there are still young musicians like him.

@@yourDeath86 they are Italian, born and trained in Italy like their manager. Only the top management of Sony and the studio in LA are American, but the latest songs were recorded in Italy, the videos shot between Milan and Mexico

Just saw Måneskin live here in Vancouver, BC last month. Thomas (and the entire band) is amazing. Such excellent musicians. 🎸 🎶
I was there in Vancouver too. That show fucking rocked my world man, it was the first rock concert I’ve ever been too and I saved up every bit of my college student budget for that ticket. 10000% worth it!
