Im in love with 6309 and 6306. have 3 international and 1 6306, I can watch them for hours and never enough. To make it clear I have more than 50 Seiko divers, starting on mm300 through few mm200, sumo's, few skx and few 7002 but oh boy how I like this vintage turtles, for me those watches are perfect watches and probably I gonna finish with many more. Im from same year like you 1978 ad today I bought from Japan my birthday watch 6306 in almost mint condition , just like yours almost new. Im super exited that my birthday watch after so many years of choosing it , will be 6306!!! greetings
Nice find! She is in amazing condition. I have been on the hunt for a 78 for what seems like years. Initially I wanted a birth year and mo but It appears I will have to settle on the year only.
Check out buyee, you might find one in Japan. I found a clean April 1979 for $400 shipped to the US. It has been serviced and I enjoy it very much! Good luck with your hunt!
The dial is aftermarket. Original lume does not age that way. Comparing it to the 7548-7000 I have with aftermarket dial and it’s lume look identical. The bezel most definitely is not original.
@@dub1116 no its not true, original is red but in many cases can change color for orange, grey or sometimes green grey, I saw many of them and only perfect preserved have red color , btw many 6309 to have grey and green text after exposition to humidity and sun. I saw original marketing posters from 70' of 6306 and 6309 and both have red text.

How much did you pay for it?
Hi! I am keen to buy this watch if you are selling.
The year I was born ,watches had not yet been invented.
I also wanted Rolex as birth year watch, but found Seiko 6309 from 1983 July what is my birth year and month.
Nice 👍🏻 much more wallet friendly
Mine too
I not sure case original
i think the dial of his 6306 is after market. the original printed color of 150 water resistant is green. i think thats a 6309 dial.
