Thank you so much, this was extremely helpful as I have just had this problem and my driveshaft was bent back 90 degrees, I just cut the tie wrap and re seated the shaft in the hole, put on a new tie wrap and it’s all fixed. I can’t imagine how much Mercedes would charge for this….new motor and driveshaft plus fitting, I reckon upwards of £750
JESUS MAN ! you are the best ! I just bought my merc, and tried make some pictures... and tried move passenger seat, guess what's happened? yes twisted :) and next minute i found your video :) you are the LEGEND !
I have the same problem. Not sure if my bracket is twisted. Did you have you take the bracket out to straighten it out? And when you said push the shaft back in, did you use the plier to get it in more? Thanks in advance.
Straighten out the seat as much as possible make sure the bracket is straight and the drive shaft goes in a little hole then zip tie it down so the miter doesn’t rotate
I’ve got a 2017 350 glc amg with 37000 miles, let’s face it mercs have crap seats the ones in my car are made of vinyl and are delaminating from the threads on the cushion( drivers seat) and guess what the main stealers don’t want to know as it’s not a safety issue even though it seems to be a common issue🤔🤔🤔
They are scared because they probably don't want to damage it more so will probably want you to buy a whole new seat which is the case for mine. Hope the vid will help your similar situation
@@drivetime4252 I had enough of the crap from the dealers, the car went at a loss but am more than happy with my 2015 sq5 which to be fare is a better drive and more economical with more bhp and REAL leather seats but have to say the glc was better in the way of technology😎😎😎
@@drivetime4252 I like German cars but think merc aren’t built to last not like the old ones, I sold my 2008 a6 avant for merc the a6 had 190000 miles on it with original clutch 👍🏽👍🏽 but not a mark on it inside or out a real tank😎😎😎
I mean I'm glad that you have shown us that we can take the seat face off but you didn't actually show us how to do that you're saying this boat somewhere over here like what does that tell me nothing I'm going to end up pulling balls off that don't need to come off and it's just not exactly a great video for teaching anybody something I'm sorry but I am grateful that you taught me that I can take the front of the face off so I can get under my seat because of how tight this shit is I just wish you would have included in this information I don't know you know the list of tools I need and all that crap
@@vinzeis1 mine the motor came off I had to put it back in position now it works I just zipped two zip ties on it to keep it in place. Take off the seat you'll see what's wrong with it immediately.
Bro you saved me a lot of time thank you so much man, literally the easiest fix ever, great work!
Awesome video. Watched it, then fixed mine in 30 minutes. You're the man!

You’re an effing legend mate!!!!!!
Cheers, I’ll give it a go and I’m sure I’ll find something similar under my seat
Does anyone know how to remove the shaft to replace it?? I am struggling with this for several days
Thanks for sharing
Mine has like a first aid kit under the front seat not sure how to get it outta the way
What is the name of the two clamps holding motor in place to the steal rod?
My hat little part broke too in mine. Couldn’t find a replacement, planning on let my buddy 3D print one
