    Any reason why the cover could not be installed over the old one, just cutting off the old j border from the old one?

      Thanks for reaching out, you would have issues where you need to click the cover into those white/blue clips. I suppose you could slice the cover to pass the retaining sleeve through and then cut the j clip off the old one as you mentioned. But really no benefit to doing so and creating much more work for yourself. But it would be doable.

    I was so excited to see this replacement online, however, my replacement is quite different being 2018 model. I found the entire seat had to be removed, not just the bottom seat. Do you see that differently?

      What model do you have? It is very possible you would have to remove the entire seat but i know for majority of Mercedes models from this generation has the removal bottom base with out removing the entire seat assembly.

      @@FullThrottleBHP Thank you for the comment. With that, I dug deeper and found you were right. I was able to buy just the bottom and replace it. Took a little bit of time for me, but I did it.
