  • In this video, I put a new driver's side bottom seat cover on the (torn, trashed) seat. This shows the process of removing the seat bottom (only!), removing the old cover, and installing the new cover.
The new cover came with the wrong seat heater connection, so I show the process to fix that (cut the original plug off the old upholstery and solder it onto the new upholstery).
If this video helps you, I'd sincerely appreciate it if you'd like the video and subscribe to my channel. That'll make it easier to find existing and upcoming videos on this (and sometimes, other) vehicle(s).
    Thanks!

I sure hope so. At the very least, it'll let potential DIY'ers know what they're in for.

Do you think that heating the vinyl would’ve made stretching it easier?

@@SWAwrenh good question. Maybe it would help, but I'm not sure the backing isn't a bigger issue, and doubt it would change with heat

Would you please add a link to the place where you purchased the cover? Also do you know if passenger's seat cover is identical to the driver's side cover?

@copymachine2431 Sorry for the first post (thought this was a different thread). Here's a link (for a passenger side cover - I believe they are the same, but you can just select the driver's side): www.ebay.com/itm/265067538997?widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Where did you find the cover?

It was on eBay. It cost more than many others since it was made in the US, and it is a great fit. I'm just not convinced at this point that one of the less expensive options wouldn't be just as good - and likely easier to install (the one I got was a real bear - I can't imagine it needs to be THAT tight).
