The Watergate break-in wasn't even ordered by Nixon, but he did lie to cover it up, also his campaign in 1968 actually extended the war in Vietnam so he could use the Vietnam war to get elected by promising to end it (which he did, after over a million more people died). I wouldn't call him the best president ever,. In terms of his accomplishments he did a lot for the country, but he also violated laws in the process, and that's the only thing people remember him for.

He passed away in April 1994. Pat died in July 1993 just around their anniversary. He never really recovered after she died. This is before her death.

1960 would’ve been more ideal. The bay of pigs would’ve been a success and Castro would’ve been killed, therefore there would’ve been no Cuban missile crisis, therefore there would’ve been less worry about the spread of communism, therefore less likely that Vietnam would’ve happened

tdevil101 Granted Nixon was no Liberal and he was not well liked by the Liberals and Moderates in the GOP or the Liberals in the Democratic Party but his policies like the EPA, OSHA, desegregation of the school system, trying to get a healthcare plan which was more Progressive than Obamacare and wanted guaranteed income for all Americans. A lot of those positions were well to the left of the Clinton and Obama administration.
I think Hillary gets more crap than she deserves, by a wide margin. But I'd probably have to agree he would have made a better candidate than her.
