The time skip is actually really accurate. Time works differently in space. To the justice league it probably feels like they've only been gone for a few days or months. Also M'gann as a war criminal is an arc that I would love to see.😅
Yessirrrr. Season 2 is such a good example of an overly convoluted deep cover story. Like yeah there are some contrivances that are conveniently placed to advance the story but they're never a major factor in the reveals, plot twists, or motivations. Its such a fun ride by itself and then rewatching and learning about all the easter eggs and references to older dc comics makes it even better
Young Justice kinda reminds me of dc comics itself since there’s so many characters fighting for spotlight. But instead of their own individual series it’s a team series. Still just like comics when there’s so many characters with storylines it’s kinda hard for them to all be bad. Like overall season 2 is pretty good to me and I’d go and say 3 and 4 are not bad and can be enjoyable. Cause to me even though season 3 could feel wonky at times, whenever beast boy was on screen he carried. And season 4 took a more simple approach giving the og crew arcs that kinda bled into eachother. Still salty Nightwing didn’t get an arc in season 4 but somehow Rocket did, they just kinda called up Nightwing when they needed someone to explain stuff and throw hands.
Rewatching season 3 while I prepare to write my video on it and you’re 100% right. I was watching a part with Robin, Spoiler, Arowette, and Orphan. And from a big DC fan perspective it’s like “oh what a fun little issue we have here” but if you don’t know who tf Cassandra Cain is, you’re probably just gonna want to get back to the main characters haha
Young Justice is a really good series, my only issue, however, is that from season 2 and forth there’s too many characters to catch up to, the characters feel like they don’t get enough development. When I first started watching I was entirely new to DC and honestly it was overwhelming so I first had to watch a different serie to really understand everything.

Main problem I have with the season was funny enough the consequences of doing a time skip. Most of the dialogue became exposition, and a lot of it clunky. But at the time I loved the season just because I was happy to see characters I love from comics: Nightwing, Tim Drake, Static, Blue Beetle, the name Arsenal being used, Bart Allen, Deathstroke, Deathstroke, Deathstroke. But otherwise, the time skip forward did hold things back. But the exposition problem wasn’t nearly as bad as it is in seasons 3 and 4.
There’s for sure a lot of exposition around the beginning of the season especially. I think that’s a lot of the reason why I think it starts very poorly
I'm going out on a limb here and say that Young Justice: Invasion might very well be the best show DC dropped.... EVER !!! It has soo many levels and stories to take in but not overwhelming at all with the time jump between seasons. Whether it's the Reach, Aqualad's family arch, or the Beatles battles.... Just great strong story telling!!! Damn shame they can't take this type of time and dedication to their other projects
Yeah I definitely can’t say you’re wrong lol. I don’t really know what DC show I would prefer to it, especially if we’re just talking about one season. But what’s awesome is DC has such of a variety of stuff, especially in animation
My heart broke when M'gann fried Kaldur's brain. In fact my heart broke a lot this season. The scene with Roy coming to terms with his situation then tearing into Ollie is especially sad.
Hell yeah the New Gods are a part of DC I’ve come to appreciate much more in the past few years, any other like fav parts of the season I didn’t mention?

I’m watching season 3 literally right now for a video on it. I had no idea Curry played G Gordon, that’s fantastic. He’s one of my favorite actors, especially in horror.

The show was really great , I could say one of my problems with the show was the time skip, randomly finding out Aqualad went bad because Tula died was soo random I had to research it and found out the scene was in a video game, those are one of the examples

Season 2 is my favorite season of Young Justice. Season 1 is tighter, but I loved the direction of season 2 and the balancing of characters. It was definitely jarring for the first few episodes. The time skip wasn't handled too well, but the show caught itself in a big way.
Its kind if cool they didnt wait to long after 1 to release season but it was dumb it got canceled due to toys not selling well. Maybe if they advertised the show better like now 3 and 4 wast that advertised at least i dont think. Also One problem with the timeskip is they could've got at least 2 seasons from it and have them be young still. The animation still looks good though maybe better than 3 and 4. Cheshire is badass and underrated though and it's cool she kind of made up with Artemis and more later
Yeah I think one big issue in the toy department is that while I think the show looks great, it doesn’t have a very distinct art style that makes it stand out on a shelf with other toys Also Artemis and Cheshire have some of my favorite scenes together in season 2 like when M’Gann mind links all them
I'm not a fan of the original time skip and had the show actually done a 3rd season and kept going when it was at its peak I'm sure it would've been way better than the modern identity politics we got when they finally did season 3 because they actually seem to care about the characters during it's original run instead of modern day check boxes! but right off the bat with season 3 I was way more pissed about the time skip than with season 2 because had the originally kept going they could've went back to that time period... god I loved the first 2 season!
Hi I have a bit of a weird question, but which format do you own Your copy of Young Justice on, I purchased mine from iTunes, but I can't seem to copy the downloaded files on to another computer without it being encrypted. Meaning I can't use them in any of my editing software.
Ik is season 1 but ep 16 has such good twists and is like a movie in a 20 minute episode.S2 is my favorite season and everything after s2 is kinda trash.

I think season 2 is good but I miss the old established young justice team and I wanted to see them more as a team.

I agree young justice season 2 is freaking fantastic and Amazing especially with the ending to building up darkseid which was amazing in my opinion.

Keith David as Mongul and Tim Curry as Glorious Godfrey were so, so good in their roles.
