I recently got the active pedal (brake) & the passive throttle. The passive throttle is very nice, but the active pedal is something else. I've had Sprints & then Invictas with haptic on the brake, its not even close. First off, you can feel a resistance within the brake pedal. When you reach ABS, rather than a cue/vibration from the haptic, the pedal actually pushes back against you, they're amazing. The adjustability within the software is excellent, from pedal angle, strength, throw & ABS power. Really looking forward to the content when you get them mounted Dave, enjoy.
Awesome! This is a product category that I look forward to becoming more accessible and mainstream over the next 5 to 10 years the same way direct drive bases have.
Those are absolutely next level. I love my Asetek Invicta pedals but would not think twice to change them out for these. As long I don't have to pay for myself ofcourse 😉
These pedals are really good on iRacing ( haptics wise ), but flat out amazing on other sims like LMU/AC/RF2/AMS2 which don’t restrict access to haptics like wheel lock and the g-force one. Their real value though is the adjustability which is incredible if you play multiple sims and use different cars.
Iv done many laps with a set "not Owned" if you have the money i feel they are worth every cent if you are really into completive racing. They are sick.
Having owned two SC APs now for over 6 months, from a personal perspective Dave, you’re absolutely crazy using one for a clutch. To have a pedal that costs over 2K sitting on your rig doing nothing for most of the time is insane.
"If I mark this table I'm a dead man" said every married man ever... 🤣 I have to admit though as nice as those look I do prefer the look of the SimMajc p1000 more understanding that looks doesn't equal performance.
These pedals seem great but it is a little crazy that something like this hasn't been made already. Years ago I googled "can I learn to drive stick from a sim?" and the answer was a firm "no, you need to be able to feel the engagement point". There is force feedback in everything else on a sim rig, I can't believe nobody thought to add it to a pedal. I grew up driving on icy roads and I rely on being able to feel abs through the brake pedal in order to manage grip. Everybody else in the sim space just didn't see the point in it? Good on simucube for doing a good job, I just hope the technology trickles down into the mid range and lower end
unfortunately we still have to wait for the sim publishers to expose clutch telemetry/wheel locking etc. these really can only do abs right now because that's all that is exposed from most major games
Just as an FYI, you can't feel the clutch engagement through the pedal in a real car. All the clutch feedback comes from the chassis vibrations, the revs dropping, the car starting to move, the sound changing and so on. The clutch itself only transfers the spring force from the clutch spring, which is responsible for that little "hump" you feel that many think is the actual engagement. If the clutch disc was entirely removed you would still feel that hump from the springs.
I grew up driving on icy roads (with NO ABS) relying on feedback through the brake pedal (and the car sliding sideways) in order to manage grip. 1970s 😁
As nice as they look, I wonder how many people are realy able to afford a pair of those. Sounds like quite a small percentage number of people to me. You already got me convinced to go for my Asetek Setup when your video came out back then, but you wont get me with these ones Dave ;)
I'm not all about the cost, I'm about what works. I've been using the VX Pro pedals for some time which are 'cheaper' than other pedal sets I have but I like them better, so I used them. We'll see how these perform 😁
@@davecamyt Looking forward to your impressions then. Got some Simagic Haptic Motors ordered myself, cant wait to fit them onto my Forte Pedals. Might be worth a look for you as well. The rather low price point to get some, lets say "active", pedals might get a lot of people interested in those. Out of stock at all avaliable shops for me right now though.
Yes you can. It’s ok. I don’t use a clutch that much so that’s what I ended up doing with it. I like having some damping on the throttle for certain cars in certain sims.
That’s my hold up on getting the passive throttle.. i use the HK ultimates+, clutch ,and throttle combined with the active pedal.. its works fine, and all.. BUT! The colors don’t match, and it bothers me when i look at them haha 🤣

Yeah there was a point in time when I thought I'd never afford a Direct Drive, I've since had 2 different ones. Hopefully these pedals go the say way.
this could come to reality for much less time than you think, we already have diy options for much less money
Im dissapointed they dont add a guide how to handle the divorce after you buy this ... such a shame 😂😂😂😂
Just when you think this hobby couldn’t get more daft and expensive 😅😂

Love my Simucube 2 Pro, these bad boys are next on my list for an upgrade.
Risking his life to film this for us 😂

You have a very nice kitchen there. Ngl, i like it.
I 'effin knew it...welcome to the club.
Sitting here watching and wearing the same colour hoodie also with no print on it. Now that's next level connection right there through the screen
I only use the primary Pedal. Hope you have so much fun than I have 😊
I'm more intrigued by your kitchen. Looks lovely.
I was waiting for this so long...the hints from Dave

I've got to compare the active and the passive pedal. It's not crazy, it's being thorough 😁

I really like your kitchen.
Looking forward to the review
Got 2 minutes in and all I can really care about is how beautiful that kitchen is. 😍 does that make me old (38)?
Waiting for the Dave Cam profiles 👍🏼👍🏼🏁🏆‼️
Wow these pedals are glorious! I do believe we have the same Breville coffee machine Dave !
It's the best 😁
@@davecamyt on my short list after the death of my V3s in coming years… great vid, looking forward your testing of them🏁

This is like a base wow,I was thinking about active pedal today, and then your video ,hmm strange things
Right ! Davey Boy is getting busy !
Simucube please release this for PlayStation and I will buy!
looks awesome! why a damper for throttle tho?
Id love to try these.
I will wait expectantly for Simucube to send me a set to try out.
Erm, it's never going to happen is it Dave? 😂
I have the same coffee machine. good choice :D
I like your kitchen
Deffo upload the profile you decide on. Sure users would appreciate it 👍🏾
Little surprised Dave since you went to the dark side a year or more ago with asetek 🤷 I love my Simtrecs pedals and not a gt3 abs guys so…
I'm still on the Asetek base 👍
Nice video dave good content. Are you selling your Simgrade VX Pros now because you ha e these beasts now ? 😂
Haha, sorry no 😁

I'm not sure tbh, but it wouldn't feel very clutch like.

So we really not going to talk about the fact that this man fired his sim rig with unboxed active pedal set?🤔
or not unboxed rather 😂
