I really appreciate how quick and straight to the point this content this is. With the New Tau and Custodes boxsets / codex coming out, you came in quick like with tips and tricks to help me get these models ready for some fun :D Subscribed, looking forward to see how you paint Tau models ;D
I'm a big fan of this scheme, I do my custodes in this as well so that they're not quite as loud looking as the default scheme but still very familiar. Something you can do to add a little depth to this armor is after applying the Balthazar gold you can do a wash of druchii violet. Once it's dry you can re base the flat panels Balthazar gold, or dry brush for a faster job, and you'll get some nice tone to the armor.
@@ThePaintingCoach Hard not to. Even if i'll have to pick either your patern or the one from golden demon winner wich is more white grey (fur hair) and pink red (tissu) and works too. But the violet you're using makes the whole think more shiny and so more Custodes to me (like look at us, we're the light). And dark hair makes them more human (wich they are). So i think you win in my eyes. Just one more question, is it a legit patern from codex ? I don't have it yet.
this feels really attainable. though, I do wish I'd primed my sisters in black. Did i miss eye highlighting? I guess these are small enough that you can skip it.
How do you get paint into those hard to reach places without getting it onto other finished areas? I’m debating on if it’s even worth it to paint in subassemblies.
Depends on the model - sometimes I do sub assemblies but generally I full build - then take my time - i always do armour last as that is the easiest to clean up if needed
Really nice mate! Always liked these models and you really did them justice 😃 The only thing i would say is that it made me cringe the way you were painting the detail white on the cloak. For stuff like that i usually use the edge of my brush so it doesnt spill over! Look forward to the next one mate
Im new to the fandom and recently bought a small adepta soroitas box but dont have the paints and brushes yet, my question is do i prime the model before or after painting?
Welcome to the hobby! You'll need to prime the models after you build them - it's the first stage in the process - this is what helps the paint stick to the model - hope that helps
Just the one kit at the mo - there is another sister model that comes with Valerian - Aleya I think? And you could also use Jenetia Kroll model as a leader - she is a FW model
@@ThePaintingCoach I think I saw that pair. The talons or something like that. My daughter likes these better then the stormcast models so I was thinking about converting some up for her stormcast.
You must know what I have in my collection because you always know what I need to get painted. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it!

Hey loving the custodes guides. Any plans to do one for the Vertus Praetors? Getting my first army made.
Thanks! I probably won't get chance, but there should be enough in this video to help you get it done
This guy rules

I have to say I have no idea - I think this is a scheme from Horus Heresy era if memory serves me - I saw them on the box art on GW website
@@ThePaintingCoach Seems legit enough to me. Thanx.
No problem

Are there plans to do the Bawla and Burk, Boss Rat-Killas limited edition model?
Unfortunately not Thomas - I don't have the model
@@ThePaintingCoach dang. Bummer.
Sorry! Hopefully I have enough ork content to get you through

Druchii violet or Nuln oil for paint shade on the purple cloack? which one is better in your opinion? Thank you for the amazing job you do :)
Thanks - I prefer nuln oil as it is darker and gives more contrast 👍🏻

Is this the only kit for these ladies? I know the kit can make the 3 different versions but are there any other kits?
