That is insane for a freshman. He is a novice to the event. World class speed in the 400 meters, but a newbie to the hurdles this year. Coaches saw something and it is magical for "squirrel."
Yeah, his form was an absolute mess, so he still has so much room to improve. It’s exciting to see another incredible prospect in this event. The next decade will be historic for the 400mH.
@@tann_man Particularly on his left leg lead, he swings his upper body around the opposite side and throws himself off balance. Lots to be improved there. Also his stride pattern is peculiar. 14 steps most of the way, and 15 near the end. We know it’s not impossible to run fast without doing 13 steps, because Bershawn Jackson would always do 15, but I believe he could be more consistent between the hurdles, and possibly could gain more strength to stick with the same stride pattern near the end.
I ran against this guy at junior olympics nationals when I was 13 in the 400. He was 14 at the time and had a 48. Crazy to see him doing bigger things at LSU now!
He just started long hurdles this year. His form was very indicative of that, but his SPEED! This man is going to be a threat to the pro's or collegiates whichever route he takes from here on out.

I don't know about anti-doping measures at the NCAAs, but World Athletics won't ratify it if they're not good enough. It's why Michael Norman doesn't have the indoor 400m record from his 2018 run.

I literally adore, if not cherish the Afro-American athletes. It seems that nature engineered them to be superior in athletic matters. However, I do not like a haughty and tongue-flashing person. Keep that tongue within the perimeters of the jaw bones. I find it nauseating!
