Thanks for this bud :-) I just ordered the box and listneing to different people on their ideas for loadouts etc... I am very new to HH plus havent played a big big wargame in years now tbh ha WIll be 3d printing some bits I need like heads, shoulder pads and if need be weapons. Thanks again 🙂
Watched this before but after playing a couple of games this really helped especially with ashen circle which Ive been struggling to do much with. I’m going serrated sun as I want argel tal in my force with a Chaplin & moritat with warpfire pistols. So Spartan for argel & 10 man gal vorbak, Chaplin with a command cataphracti squad from argel in a proteus. Then moritat hanging out with 2 5 man squads of ashen circle. Then 2 squads of dispoilers in rhinos/drop pods with 2 tactical walking up the board with a mhara gal walking up to but not to close lol. Thanks for all the useful advice 😊
RAW a buffed up thousand sons sekhmet unit can match Gal vorbak in combat. However stacking biomancy buffs is almost certainly not intended and as such the first FAQ will probrably address it
Concerning Dark Brethren and IC: From the IC rules of ongoing effects we figured that we will play it like this: When an IC is part of a unit that gains a point, the IC will get a point es well. An IC and the unit he is attached to both use their own point score to determine how big their bonus is (if they have one). Meaning that an IC switching units will not bring points into another unit and cannot profit from a unit having more points then him, but it does allow to 'level up' the whole unit. Just as if you would cast a pschic power on a unit that contains an IC.
Another note on the Moritat in the unit: You can also give him something lika a Tainted Blade or maybe Tainted Axe (as they cannot get Power Axes themselves anymore, real shame) on top of his pistoles. With the Rad Grenades the unit becomes extremly dangerous and it is less likely that your opponent survives and just runs away because you're Heavy and cannot sweep. Also the Moritat will give them Scout, extremly good as well.
I have mine on the same, but I think splitting them is also fine. They both have advantages and disadvantages (last model alive has both things vs easier to snipe) so in the end I did both on one so i only have one model to keep track of!
Great video, and gets me wanting to play a WB army in 30k too on top of my 40k WBs. Do you think people would mind if I used some 40k CSM models for corrupted or veteran units? They're predominantly wearing Mk V gear, and I'm more than happy to paint up some Mk IIIs or the rumoured upcoming Mk IIs for my basic Tacticals/Despoilers.
We had one local WB player in the beginning and several others have switched to the Dark Side after all of us got murdered by warpfire and Gal Vorbak within the first month of release. I haven't even seen the other units you mentioned on the tabletop yet... 25 attacks from a 5 man with better statline than command squad terminators... how do I kill this.
I think gal vorbak are great but their weapons let them down vs better melee units. Also they are tough but worse saves…. Theyre very shootable. Better than your average terminators, worse than the best units like cenobium, suzerain, etc etc
Going to say it... the torrent rule is fucking stupid. You should have to line up the template with the direction exactly per the line from firer to template.

Heavy means you can’t run and you are -1” to reaction movement based on initiative.Sweeping advance is not affected by the heavy type.
Now you have to do space marines part 2 - im reading know No fear for the second time so there you have it xd
